It’s a pity that we didn’t leave without accepting all these onerous conditions from Europe.
They say in his defence that Johnson’s hands were tied by what Traita May and then Hilary Benn had done.
But surely, with an 80 seat majority won on the back of “Let’s Get Brexit Done” he could have removed these obstacles.
I can only conclude that Johnson is not a Brexiter at all. He never believed in Brexit and has been very happy to have as many spanners in the works as he could throw in.
Well done, Rastus. You got there in the end.
Does anyone really believe that Boris Johnson has the testicular strength to invoke Article 16?
Bombardier Frost, surely?

Cop26 is a gigantic flatulent mess of incoherence and sanctimony. 7 November 2021.
With Biden and other world leaders safely shuffled off the stage, the United Nations’ giant green jamboree enters its second week by no doubt getting down to the real business: a bunch of unscrupulous lobbyists and mobile phone-wielding activists cooking up ever-more ambitious schemes to pressurise big businesses to pretend to go green whether their customers like it or not, and forcing taxpayers to foot the bill through shady corporate subsidies extorted from feckless politicians too timid to stand up to any of the moralising eco-blackmail.
Sounds about right!

Morning
Good Morning Folks,
Pleasant start to the day here
SIR – I feel sorry about what has happened to Owen Paterson, although I am rather shocked at how much he was being paid as a “consultant”.
I believe it is a good thing for MPs to have other jobs as it keeps them in touch with the world of work outside politics, but these should be normal jobs with normal rates of remuneration, not something vague like a consultant.
However, it does seem to me that prominent figures from the Leave campaign are far more likely to face censure from public bodies than prominent figures in the Remain campaign, and that too many in high office are trying to punish those who helped us leave the EU. What Darren Grimes had to go through is a prime example of this, and it is noticeable that the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards has condemned far more Leavers than Remainers.
This makes ordinary people like me wonder if such public bodies can be trusted to be impartial anymore.

Boris Johnson doesn’t simply ‘appear’ untrustworthy. He regularly demonstrates that he is completely untrustworthy!
At least we can trust John Major, he has always been pro EU
Sunday Grimes headline
New Tory sleaze row as donors who pay £3m get seats in House of Lords
The Conservative Party has been accused of abusing the honours system by systematically offering seats in the House of Lords to a select group of multimillionaire donors who pay more than £3 million to the party.
I blame Blair, we should bring back the hereditaries and chuck out the rest
#MeToo, Bob, it’s long been a thought of mine.
I would include, as well as the hereditaries, the Law Lords, as the final Court of Appeal after dissolving Blair’s incompetent and biased ‘Supreme Court’.
We also need to cut down the number of MPs to a maximum of 350-400, increase their pay and remove all but essential expenses.
It’s certainly an abuse of the system; Chuckmabutty got ennobled for the price of a bucket of whitewash!
You should always use his full name – John Turdfaced Fornicator Major. A little respect, if you please.
Perhaps an MP with substantial income outside his parliamentary earnings and expenses could have his MP salary and pension reduced appropriately.
No public body can be trusted, Andrew Rixon.
The Sunday Times talks about “Continuity-Remain”, [a shadowy but powerful group].
They appear to be determined to wreck Britain’s economy to punish Brits for voting for Brexit.
Interesting that they aren’t calling for another referendum. I wonder why?
Biden their time… once the economy is wrecked and the streets awash with stabbed bodies, they will say “We told you so. Now we’ll rejoin!”
Or, a convenient crisis will pop up to cover the same… like a tsunami from Palma.
Never waste a good crisis.

Sorry Peter but you used to live in Moscow so that automatically makes you a Putin bot.
As I commented here the other day I am sure that the queen was bullied into making her foolish comments by her oafish and odiously, boringly dull eldest son and her alarmingly naive grandson. It would not have happened when the Duke of Edinburgh was there.
My thoughts exactly. Charlie is a festering menace, it would be best for all if he abdicated and Queen Kate and her wet husband represented the Crown after Liz has departed.
Personally I’d prefer Queen Anne!
So would I. (Surprisingly!)
His article on the Queen, indeed the whole Royal Family, is spot on.
When the power bills come in and weekly supermarket till receipts equal the GDP of Newfoundland, the public will notice that there is a family with a lot of land and money for whom these developments have no effect on their lives.
The early morning BBC Radio 4 news had as one of its early years events the very recent confirmation of Biden’s presidency with comments and cheers from his supporters. The BBC never misses a chance to annoy us.
SIR – Many GPs complain of “burnout”.
I was a GP in a two-person practice in the 1970s and 1980s. I was on call every other night and alternate weekends. When my partner went on holiday I was on call every day, every night and at weekends.
There were no mobile phones. After a night visit, I would use a telephone box to call my wife and ask if other patients had been in touch. Sometimes I went home to find another visit awaiting me. I managed.
In my view the advent of large practice groups joining up, and agencies providing out-of-hours cover, were the beginning of the end for general practice.

Morning all
SIR – The first week of Cop26 has seen hundreds of private jets, Tesla cars recharged by diesel generators, the obscene emissions of Joe Biden’s entourage, India stating it will take 50 years to reach net zero, and China not even present – and all for the sake of some unenforceable pledges.
Meanwhile, the British public is being forced to participate in Boris Johnson’s green vanity project. I did not vote for this. We need politicians who live in the real world.
Nigel D Moore
Devauden, Monmouthshire
SIR – Suzanne Moore feels disconnected from Cop26 in Glasgow.
However, I suspect she feels more connected than most of us living and working here, being made strangers by mulish police, while politicians and activists alike come to wag their fingers at us before disappearing – and leaving a gigantic mess to clean up.
Mark Boyle
Johnstone, Renfrewshire
SIR – If those countries seeking dominance through investment in hypersonic missile technology put the money towards environmental initiatives, I am sure we could save both humanity and our planet. We might even have some cash left over.
His Honour Ian Morris
Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex
SIR – The most powerful voice heard at Cop26, and the one that will go down in history as the most significant, was that of the Queen urging world leaders to “rise above politics for the sake of our children and their children”.
Lance Warrington
SIR – We are encouraged by the Government to think about how we can travel in an environmentally responsible way.
It was not just the great and the good (and the not-so-good) travelling by train to Glasgow this week who were affected by the disruption of their rail service. On Wednesday I was due to be in London. South Western Railway trains south-west of Andover were still not running due to the accident at Salisbury, so I was advised to go to Castle Cary and get a GWR train. There, however, all trains to London were cancelled because of a signalling failure (cause not disclosed). As such, a significant part of south-west England had its rail service to London cut off.
If we are to go green, a much more reliable railway service is essential.
Hilary Leavey
Sherborne, Dorset
SIR – I second Ros Hurn’s call (Letters, October 31) to ban leaf-blowers.
The petrol-powered ones are very noisy and of course contribute to global carbon dioxide emissions. Electric leaf blowers are hardly silent, either, and the use (and manufacture) of both devices entails the unnecessary consumption of fuel.
I, in turn, propose a ban on those energy-hungry patio heaters.

Joe Biden’s best hope of retaining power is Trump, the ogre under the bed. 7 November 2021.
Trump is likely to remain the gift that keeps on giving for Democrats – the living, breathing bogeyman under the bed who keeps their voters up at night. As much as Democrats may want to run on their legislative agenda, the spectre of Trump could be their most effective strategy for maintaining power and is probably Biden’s best hope for re-election. The structural impediments to electoral success will remain, however, particularly as Senate Democrats, led by West Virginia’s JJoe Manchin, seem unwilling to enact the kind of far-reaching political reforms that would undo them. Moreover, the Republicans’ unabashed assault on democratic norms and voting rights is likely to continue. The short-term road ahead for Democrats is rocky.
Still, as John Maynard Keynes famously quipped, in the long run we are all dead and if Trump is the path to Democratic success, so be it. After all, there is one other important truism of all politics – winning is better than losing.
I think that there is more than a little wishful thinking here! Not only is Trump on the rise but one can see no improvement in Biden’s position! It’s not simply matter of policies. Biden has been outed as in cognitive decline (something not mentioned in this article) to the many millions who voted for him. This along with his record would be an enormous handicap at an election!

“If we all come together and play our part, we can get through this challenging winter, avoid a return to restrictions, and enjoy Christmas.” Says Sajid Javid as quoted by the BBC.
Their headline is
“Covid: Get booster jabs so we can enjoy Christmas – Javid”
Javid may, or may not, be a muslim, but either way that sounds like a threat. Coercion to accept an unproven medication, or else.
Mr Javid is also quoted as saying: “We know immunity begins to wane after six months, especially for the elderly and the vulnerable, and booster vaccines will top-up their protection to keep people safe over the winter.”
Which reads as if more booster injections will be needed in the Spring. And then…
As it happens I was vaccinated against polio. Only once.

Yo HP and all
I wonder how many of you have read:
The ten points of the Nuremberg Code
The ten points of the code were given in the section of the judges’ verdict entitled “Permissible Medical Experiments”:[6]
Point 9
During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical
or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible.
I shall be using this, if my ‘Medical Centre’ try to blackmail me into having the Booster
If they threaten to withhold treatment for other ailments, I will contact the NHS
Read the Rules
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuremberg_Code
When Javid, Johnson et al. put up their medical/scientific credentials to match those of Drs Michael Yeadon, Peter McCullough, Ryan Cole, Richard Fleming and Geert Vanden Bossche amongst a host of others then I might, just might pay some scant attention to their mumblings.
I grew up when illegal (unknown and untested) drugs were becoming the ‘thing’ and I resolved never to take anything offered and by chance I was never offered anything, never. Why now should I change a stance I took back in my youth because a politician thinks it is a good idea? How is the word of a modern day politician e.g. “It’s safe and effective,” when all the evidence exposes that fallacy, any more reliable than that of a dealer on a street corner?
Taking a medical intervention on the say so of a politician is not a sensible thing to do.
From what one gathers many members of the government were very happy to take illegal recreational drugs when they were younger – and as far as we know they probably still do.
I enjoy Jeremy Taylor’s song about the subject:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO30p2NSMTk
Unlike you, I was offered illegal drugs. I turned them down. I don’t like the thought of not being in control of my actions.

A lot of the replies point out the high vaccination rate and others that cases are rising.
Yes, cases rising rapidly – and since most are vaccinated, vaxxed are rolling up in hospital a lot. 2 in my department off work due to corona. Medics also seeing lots of deaths that have been postponed due to isolation, high incidence of colds and flu and seasonal vomitong/diarrhoea.
By isolating, people lost their immunities.
Every protestor at COP26, and there were were tens of thousands of them, represents around a quarter of a million pounds of nurture, food, clothing, housing, education, health care and so forth (Figures from an article I read in the last century).
So tens of millions of pounds of our resources, and what do we get? Mindless, ignorant, bleating on the streets.
The Tories will keep getting away with this sleaze. I mean, who’s going to vote for the other lot?

By what process, exactly, did Claudia Webbe end up as the Labour MP for Leicester East? How rigorous was the scrutiny? You have to feel for her constituents: their last representative was that oil slick of corruption Keith Vaz, and then they had the appalling Webbe parachuted down among them.
She has just been handed a suspended jail sentence for threatening to throw acid in somebody’s face, among other threats and imprecations, but seemingly she has no great wish to relinquish her seat and it will take a recall vote to get rid of her. Her selection in 2019 caused the resignation of the constituency party chairman, and even before Webbe’s criminal behaviour became known she had reduced Labour’s majority from more than 22,000 to just over 6,000.
You may think I am judging her too harshly; that threatening to throw acid over a person is simply one of her hobbies and should not reflect on the excellent work she does as an MP. Well, if you think that, take a look at her “interrogating” the foreign secretary, Dominic Raab, on the subject of Belarus — a country she was incapable of pronouncing and I suspect had never heard of. It is the only time I have seen a politician utterly stumped by one of their own questions. It is a cringeworthy moment, right up there with her colleague David Lammy appearing to suggest that trans women could somehow grow a cervix (perhaps with the help of a starter kit from their local garden centre).
Before sentencing, Webbe’s brief suggested that the judge should adopt a certain leniency because his client was a black woman and thus a victim. The magistrate, quite rightly, wasn’t having any of it.
While all this was happening, another soi-disant victim was whining to the press — the Conservative MP Owen Paterson, who had been caught trousering, against all the rules, £500,000 by lobbying ministers on behalf of private companies. Paterson at least resigned when the government, late in the day, abandoned him — but he did so more out of pique than repentance. Indeed, he showed no repentance.
But what a colossal misjudgment from Johnson and his cronies, one born of sheer arrogance and complacency. The government imposed a whip to have Paterson’s suspension from the Commons revoked, or suspended — and it did so because it thought it could get away with it; because it thought we wouldn’t care, or would soon forget about the matter. Johnson and co were mindful, too, that another bunch of Tories are about to be investigated by the standards committee and were worried that this might give some substance to opposition claims that the Conservatives are the party of financial sleaze.
Listen, Johnson. The reason the opposition — and the rest of us — suspects you are the party of financial sleaze is that you are the party of financial sleaze. There is not enough room here to go through the long, long sheet of evidence to that effect — the juicy contracts doled out to mates over dinner and so on. Your party is the party of backhanders and greed and everybody knows it, and the reason you have an 80-seat majority is simply that you weren’t Jeremy Corbyn.
That’s the problem. Both our main parties are possessed of an epic complacency occasioned by the fact that in our two-party system the voter has a pretty grim choice: it is the hideously woke devil versus the deep blue sea of filth — and so it will be, eternally.
Labour now pursues policies that are anathema to the people it was set up to represent and is perfectly happy to parachute far-left imbeciles into seats, against the wishes of locals, because it knows the voters will just have to suck it up. Meanwhile the Conservatives can treat the rules with impunity, safe in the knowledge that their vaulting greed is somehow “baked in” to the public perception of the party and so it doesn’t matter.
The two-party system has not merely facilitated this arrogance; it has created it. It’s not much different in America, where Donald Trump would win if there were an election tomorrow, now that the voters have realised Joe Biden is an ineffectual, devious halfwit with a penchant for hideous ideological overreach. Their only alternative, now, is Trump.
You would expect me, a member of the Social Democratic Party, to take this view, I suppose. But that doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I think we’d be a better country if Ukip and the Greens had been afforded the representation in the House of Commons that their public support demanded: both Brexit and the measures needed to cut carbon emissions would surely have come as less of a shock to the system.
Instead we stagger on with these two hopeless behemoths — the parties that foisted upon us Claudia Webbe and Owen Paterson.
All aboard for the latest U-turn

I’ve got a little list — no Germans on itSwedes show their questionable taste
Not content with foisting Abba on us once again, the Swedes have come up with another innovation that might polarise popular opinion: a vegan burger that tastes of human flesh.
This delicious product has been created by the company Oumph “after extensive research”.
All very well, but what kind of human flesh? One assumes Swedish human flesh — and so you might expect the blurb on the packet to read: “Incalculably bland in both texture and flavour, but with a faint aftertaste of self-righteousness and herring.”
• The latest figure to be cancelled by the deranged obsessives of the totalitarian left is the film director and former Python Terry Gilliam. The Old Vic has called off his production of Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods because the staff there don’t like his views on the #MeToo movement and trans rights.
One of those demanding Gilliam’s removal was Penny Babakhani, who said of herself: “I work primarily with migrant and multicultural artists who seek to empower audiences by blurring the line between theatre and protest.”
Gee, Penny — where can we buy tickets?

The gap between rhetoric and fact is a perennial feature of politics. But seldom can the chasm between claim and reality have been as wide as that displayed by Alok Sharma at the Cop26 conference in Glasgow. The British president of the latest intergovernmental climate change gathering told the delegates (and the world’s media) that “the end of coal is in sight”, as a result of the agreement he had negotiated.
That was the rhetoric. Now the fact. Not only was the declaration to phase out coal by the 2040s not signed by the world’s top three consumers (China, India and America, which account for more than 70 per cent of the global CO2 emissions from burning the stuff); the pledge itself was neutered.
Who can blame them? This whole shambles hasn’t been equalled since the Crusaders set out to find the True Cross; only this time there’s no Cross, no Jerusalem and Morrison’s is Calvary were the working class are going to be crucified!

When I was a teenager, I visited Stonehenge and learned that the builders of that ancient monument were primitive thinkers, who believed that it was necessary to worship the sun and the stars to ensure good harvests.
Today’s teenagers, thanks to the BBC and other censors of scientific debate and a now one-sided dumbed-down school science curriculum, are supposed to think that the builders of Stonehenge were technological greats who were far more advanced than today’s population. They are also told to think that the two or three generations before their own messed up the planet, despite those generations passing the clean air act (and doing the things necessary to make it work), cleaning up coastal waters by developing better methods to reduce sewerage and manufacturing waste, seeing fish return to previously polluted rivers, reducing most harmful engine emissions by a factor of a hundred or so, making electric vehicles viable, researching and installing better home insulation and glazing, phasing out coal as the dominant power supply and a hundred other large and small scientific and engineering improvements to the living planet by reducing pollution, while generally not travelling by air very much, not using electronic equipment very much and walking and cycling much more than today’s teenagers.
Now we see those same badly educated teenagers (and some older people who haven’t yet grown up) being serenaded for their vote by world-travelling hypocritical politicians desperate to increase their big-state control and make their mark on history no matter what the cost to ordinary people, claiming every common-or-garden weather event is an apocalyptic portent, even claiming eating certain essential foods is harmful to the environment, just like the Stonehenge druids hoodwinked their own impressionable and superstitious population. History repeats itself.
By all means, let’s reduce non-biodegradable plastic waste (the biggest scourge of today’s consumer society), repair more and replace less and generally live as cleanly as possible, but don’t pretend our planet is about to self-combust in a matter of months or that we have to annihilate farmed cattle, or scrap vehicles that still work economically replacing them at great environmental cost with others that still emit gases just more remotely at the power station, or that we’ll all be paddling in raised seawater levels in a couple of years time or all of the other over-the-top childish claims – we’ve seen those same predictions come and go several times over the last forty years unfulfilled. We are again led and lectured by primitive people.
The climate agenda seems to have caused hysteria in the population and, in the absence of religion and morality, it has become the new messiah. Anyone remember Jonestown Guyana in 78 when 900 followers were persuaded to drink poison. Once you have the crowd persuaded, you can do absolutely anything. More champers Klaus, don’t mind if I do Bill.
“making electric vehicles viable and phasing out coal as the dominant power supply really don’t work in the same sentence. Otherwise, it’s very good.
“……repair more and replace less.”
We have a deep freeze which works perfectly – and is inperfect condition apart from the fact that the door seal is cracked.
It is impossible to buy a new seal which would cost the manufacturers pennies to produce.
The only solution would be to buy a new door and have it professionally fitted – but this would cost well over half the price of a new freezer.
Until we get a new freezer we shall be using too much electricity in running the old one.
(I remember being infuriated by the Slimy Slug-Like Gove telling us to repair rather than buy new. He had absolutely not knowledge or practical experience on the matter at all.)
Good morning, all. Bluish skies and strong westerly wind.

I was musing looking for a parallel for the Greenscammers with their noses buried in the Green Trough, from Billionaire Al Gore to Halllam and the XR bloke and the grant ridden “scientists” when you dig down a bit and discover the endless directorships of “Eco this” and ” Carbon that” not to mention the “Charitable Trusts”………..
Then it came to me,the missionaries that went to Hawaii and ended up stealing all the land
“They came to do good, and they did right well”
Oh yeah,I hope this is a parody account or we’re all in deep trouble…….

Morning Rik,
Didn’t the Hawaiians chop-chop the missionaries?
Meat with two veg?
Certainly did for Cap’n Cook.
Did they take his surname as an instruction?
He only went there for a sandwich.

EXCLUSIVE: No booster… no hassle-free foreign travel: Ministers
are drawing up plans to bring back tests and quarantine for those who
refuse third Covid jab
Plans
to reimpose quarantine and testing for those who have refused third
vaccine are currently being drawn up by Ministers to protect UK against
spread of new coronavirus variants
Likely
to prove controversial if introduced before most of those eligible for
booster have received it. So far, only 60% have done so
The move would change the definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ from having had two jabs to three
Officials are divided over how soon to implement the measure and are discussing a grace period
This
would let people travel without quarantine if they had sought a booster
six months after their second jab but had not yet been offered an
appointment
Hmmm FOAD!!
They now have the levers in place. All they need to do now is decide when and how to use them.
And like sheep, we have allowed them to get away with this.
“We”?
‘Fraid so. It’s happened.

Sinister!
Joe Biden ‘broke wind’ in front of Camilla with ‘long and loud’ emission. 7 November 2021.
Camilla and the US leader’s chat was marked by an unexpected reaction from the 78-year-old president that she has been thinking about ever since.
As they talked, Mr Biden reportedly broke wind which made Prince Charles’ wife very uncomfortable.
“It was long and loud and impossible to ignore,” the source said.
“Camilla hasn’t stopped talking about it.”
Biden of course hates the UK and the British. He and Hunter probably had a good giggle about this later!

Joe Biden or the new Mr Trump? Camilla ‘hasn’t stopped talking about’ hearing the President ‘break wind’ during chat at Cop26 climate summit in Glasgow
President Joe Biden met Duchess of Cornwall during reception on Monday
They made polite small talk and Camilla was shocked to hear Biden break wind
Reception was hours after Biden appeared to doze off at COP26 opening
By GLEN OWEN POLITICAL EDITOR FOR THE MAIL ON SUNDAY
He is supposed to be committed to reducing emissions – but when President Joe Biden produced a little natural gas of his own at the COP26 summit, it was audible enough to make the Duchess of Cornwall blush.
That’s about what will be achieved by the Greeniac madness surrounding the economically crippling energy measures they want against climate change; A fart in a thunderstorm.
Not surprising he shat himself in the Vatican.
Seconds separated our thoughts, BoB.
Following other recent reports Camilla was fortunate it was only wind and nothing more substantial.😎
She did well to keep a straight face!

Morning Each,
Why now is the time to start protecting your home from future climate chaos
Over the next few decades more neighbourhoods will be classed as flood risk areas. So how do you future-proof your house?
First & most important is, ( I know it will hurt a great many) divide your
lab/lib/con coalition membership card into eight equal segments then post
to YOUR local MP.
ALL areas very shortly will be classed as flood plains this comes from NOT ONLY building on flood plains initially but also to accommodate the DOVER invaders

Their clothes fall apart after a couple of washes, so I don’t shop there any more, and won’t be annoyed by this nonsense.
Haven’t shopped there for years
We were having this discussion in church over coffee after the service this morning. Some of the women were complaining that M&S clothes didn’t last and they no longer had the sort of stuff that their long-serving customers wanted. They had gone all out to attract younger customers, who weren’t shopping there, and consequently they were losing their traditional client base.
I can’t remember the last time I went in there – let alone actually bought something.
Ours closed years ago.
Our nearest one is Gloucester.
The middle word looks like “Hirry”…!!
M&S could well be on the way to committing Hirry Carry….
Good morning Bill
Silliness gets even sillier
The M+S name tag thing reminded me of this .
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z3yYJ0dnrM
When i see a name badge on a checkout cashier i avoid using it. I don’t know the person and i feel it would be rude to use it.
If someone in a customer facing role wishes me to address them by name they can introduce themselves.
Being a bit short sighted and not always wearing my glasses I have trouble when it comes to reading name badges on females, mostly placed as they are in the chest area, how long can a gaze linger before it becomes unsavoury?
These name tags are mostly situated on one side – I have been known to ask what the other one is called.
If the tag says Pat – don’t, it hurts!
Brave man!

Golly Gosh; those dim and distant days when we were still allowed to laugh.
That makes me nervous too, Datz. Especially my head getting closer & closer until the badge comes into focus…

“Hi, Philip! Can I help yourself at all?”
We had quite a heavy frost last night. I went out jogging early this morning – as I passed a house with a heat exchange system, the fan in the box outside was going like crazy.
Good luck with extracting heat from this, I thought, as my breath froze. Let’s hope we never have a power cut on a cold day, eh?
You lost me after “I went out jogging early this morning”… :@(
As you probably know in this age of censorship, over the pond, the term Joggers has taken on an entirely new meaning. Nothing is black and white anymore….
You are not getting confused with “doggers”, are you?
For the avoidance of doubt, I’ve never knowingly engaged with a ‘dogger’…..
341016+ up ticks,

He’s leading you on.

A bit like the TV adverts then?
‘Morning Stephen.
In France un footing is jogging and un jogging is a pair of track suit bottoms.
and what’s the french for horizontal jogging, Richard?
Ooh la la…
Oz joke…
G’day Sheila, fancy a f**k?
No !
Do ya mind lying down while i have one?
Putain
A lovely expletive – especially in the part of France where I lived – where it was pronounced: “Putang”. But only in appropriate company!!
It’s OK to be white… just saying.
Wasn’t expecting that to be controversial!
There are at least three Nottlers unable to jog anywhere. One has one leg , another has no legs and i have a difficult crutch.
:@). Not kidding…
And at least two have arthritic knees.
I’m terribly sorry. I thought you were indicating disapproval of sporting activity.
Oh dear. Though my comment was true it was supposed to be a light hearted dig.
Excuse me while i take my foot out of my mouth and put the other one in.
Sometimes things touch a nerve unintentionally and it’s hard to know when.
You must be one of the only people on this blog that does early morning runs. The rest of us are far too decrepit. :@)
Or they are happily married perhaps!
I do worse than early morning runs – there is fitness equipment in my local park, so I do some weight training as well! I usually have it to myself at 7 am on Sundays – though sometimes there is a fisherman, or a dog walker to two.
I would like to be one of these gym bunnies with toned muscles, but am too lazy to do more than a few minutes a week.
Jogging ?
Well done , but watch those bladder muscles
Re the heat exchange unit , they sound like noisy air conditioner units , which vibrates through the walls etc , you could imagine the din from row of terraced houses, semis, and closely packed in detached homes.
Having stood beside the aircon/freezer units at our sons’ business, I can confirm that thinking, let alone speaking, is impossible.
I’ve been running since 2007, no health problems yet. I don’t overdo it.
They (air-to-air) work here in Weegieland, BB2. Very popular, too. And it gets cold in winter, too.
I’ll be interested to see how it’s working on a January morning then.
Pretty well, according to reports.

This year we’re supporting four important charities: the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Maggie’s, the Alzheimer’s Society and Dogs Trust
Good choices in my view…but Maggie’s? The outstanding fish and chip restaurant in Hastings old town and possibly the finest of its kind anywhere on the south coast, needs support from DT readers? Oh wait…
Maggie’s Cancer Centres.
“…Alzheimer’s Society and Dogs Trust…” = Mad Dogs.

You mean the French army coming to surrender?
Sounds like one of those algebraic problems we had to solve in school – if it takes four boats to bring 1000 invaders to Dover, how many boats does it take to bring 150, 000 immigrants to Deal?
With the “vaccination” programme rearing its head on Nttle this morning I feel that I can now add my experience of its effectiveness, or rather its lack of that quality.
I’m currently recovering from what is more than probable the latest manifestation of what the PTB label as covid. I was infected by a double “vaccinated” friend who was infected at a club event only open to double “vaccinated” people: I am barred from that club because I am non-vaccinated. A number of people at the event have also fallen sick.
On feeling unwell my friend took two lateral flow tests and both returned negative but a PCR test two days later returned positive. Although the accuracy of both tests throw up doubts it seemed prudent to behave with caution and keep away from other people. I started to take a high dose of zinc, 45mg/day, increased my vitamins D and C and continued to eat normally.
My symptoms matched exactly those of my friend and of a couple of other people who were at the event. My friend was bedridden for three days but I have remained fairly well if a little lethargic due to the clogging of my ears and sinuses with the cold like symptoms: something I always experience after a cold. The worst symptom was the dry throat that made me want to cough but couldn’t, eventually after a couple of days that irritating tickle morphed into a cough which now appears to be easing. I did not have a high temperature nor a headache. My experience may be atypical but I seem to have come off better than my “vaccinated” friend and some of the other people at the event. If there is no relapse my self isolation ends Wednesday next week.
Yo Korky
I hope, that you are wearing surgical gloves, to protect us from the Lurgy
Before long, the very inaptly named SAGE, will proclaim that CONVID can be spread by computers
My lack of ability to type needs no further impediments.😎
And DON’T breathe on the screen….those germs are catching, you know…
I won’t catch it – I’ve got Norton anti-virus installed on my computer.
Ah – but have you had it boosted?
Hi Korky, do you have a bitter/sour taste jn your mouth?
…and have you an appetite (food) that is!
No bitter/sour taste, in fact little taste at all but that’s normal for me when I get congested sinuses etc. The tickly throat put me off food for a day or so but other than that I have eaten normally including two batches of home made bread rolls.
To what levels of Vit D did you increase? And Vit C? Over these winter months we are taking 4,000 IU daily of Vit D and 300 mgms Vit C with zinc, daily.
Hi poppiesmum,
I have increased my vitamins recently ….is there a single dose which includes
all of them?
You can buy A to Z vitamins from most places. Then there is Centrum Advance for the over 50’s.
You can also buy Calcium, Magnesium,Zinc and Vit D in liquid form.
Thanks Phizz.
It’s a minefield checking vitamins…..increased my intake of zinc and
Vit C…
I haven’t found one – it is easier to have it all in one but then you have less control if you want to increase, say, the Vit D3 or your Vit C. It did ‘do my head in’ trying to get my requirements just right!
Thanks……ppsm.
I’ll just keep taking he tablets!
Vitamin D 75 micro gms = 3,000 IU and vitamin C, 500 micro gms. I had been taking a multi-vitamin and mineral tablet supplemented by 2,000 IU vitamin D but I dropped that multi tablet when I needed the extra zinc as my dose of daily zinc would have been over the recommended limit.
Brands please ppmm….
The Vit C+zinc is CYB (Complete your Body). 180 capsule-like hard tablets.
The Vit D3+K2 is Cytoplan 4000 IU
I also take Quercetin Complex with Bromelain, Rosehip, Vit C, Bioflavenoids. Quercetin supports the immune system, it is a substance found in and just below apple skins (an apple a day…!). As you will see there is also vit c contained within this mix as well. The sum of the two Vit Cs is not great so I found it acceptable, I especially wanted the Quercetin with Bromelain as Bromelain reduces inflammation, and it came with the Vit C as well. The brand is Horbäach.
All the brands I got online, and they arrived very quickly. I will reduce the Vit D3+K2 to 2000 IU March – September. The Vit K2 aspect is important as it fixes the D3 in your bones rather than your arteries.
In March I will reduce the Quercetin to every other day so that come April I will not be taking it until the following October.
I am recovering from a head cold. I am usually badly affected by upper respiratory tract infections. This time the worst symptoms were over in 24 hours, this has never happened before, I now just feel a bit washed out and tired but that is all.
Hope this helps!
I take a single tablet daily from Healthspan.
Vit C 500mg,Vit B12 10 microgm, Zinc 5mg, Vit D3 15 microgm.
£11.95 for 120 tabs, post free

I woke abruptly this morning from a dream. Have no clue what it was about but into waking came the ringing declaration:” This cabal has not eaten my biscuits!” This portentous disclosure has been following me around all morning, weird things dreams.

Cooler now, anyhow.

From TCW
May we suggest readers pay particular attention to the
analysis Professor Richard Ennos presents in his response letter to the
Scottish government, which he describes as follows:‘Analysis
of the timing of this rise in excess death shows that it started in the
oldest age group and is initiated sequentially in ever younger age
groups . . . This strongly suggests that there is some cause for these
excess deaths at home that operates first in the elderly and works its
way sequentially down the age groups in Scotland.’
As
yet it appears that this increase shows no sign of slowing down, and
may even be accelerating, only now really getting started in the younger
groups.

If he’s only just noticed the state twists the language to control the narrative then the fellow is a long way behind.
When you have 50 boosters – you get an OBE; 100 = telegram from The Queen…
We’ll all be dead by then!
That’s the plan.
Stop Thief
The fun will really start when the “boosted” turn on the double “vaccinated”.
The governments were warned that mass “vaccination” would drive variants and cause the “vaccinated” to succumb but people at the top e.g. Javid know better and keep promoting the same dangerous idea. Kifaru has it bang to rights. Insanity.
Where is our Chief Medical Officer and his buddy the Chief Science Officer in all this?
I still see the fools on social media who boast of being ‘fully vaccinated’ or ‘double-jabbed.’ Have they realised yet that there it was never intended to be ‘two-jabs and you’re done?’ This is just the start of them and their children (assuming they’re able to have any) giving their bodies to the State – forever.
On the plus side, we ‘unvaccinated’ are now so far behind those lucky ‘fully-vaccinated’ people that there is no chance of us ever catching up! Even if I started now, I’d be on my second jab when they are on their fourth or fifth. Best to leave it eh…
Awkward

No doubt he’d parked in an electric bay, plugged the charger in and some scrote had unplugged it or there hadn’t been power to charge it.
This “human element” is another huge handicap which will further cripple the EV market in the real (terraced/congested and feral) urbanised areas of the UK
Just heard some cretin on the radio saying that EV is not the way ahead – we should just stop using all cars! In the good old days the men in white coats would have been round to his house in minutes!
That’s the goal. Electric cars are just a roundabout way of getting there.
I wonder if they all had to pay for the “extra” three hours?

I could swear I posted that an hour back 🙂
Could it be a spoof, Lewis?
Sorry – didn’t see yours!
Another obvious instance of GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE 🙂
The problem is with MP’s nobody really knows if they are telling the truth any more. I’m sure it’s not carbon friendly in any way whatsoever to be building thousands of new homes on green belt all over the country to house primarily illegal migrants, but irrespective of his statement that is what his government are all allowing to happen.
One wonders if they have some influence on such procedures a such as in the planning departments and encouragement to the developers.
It’s difficult to know. But I can tell you all that during and since Grant Shapps was housing minister in his and neighbouring constituency of Hatfield bordering St Albans, the building development programme seemed to take off (perhaps it was a coincidence) in a rather accelerated way. Then he, as MPs often do, moved on to another department.
To eff up Transport. A vile little man.
My favourite saying Bill the political classes and our civil service eff up everything the come into contact with. Unfortunately they have between them have Effed up this whole nation, It’s social structure and culture with over crowding and therefore it’s future population.
Well good morning all, I’m not particularly a fan of either, but this is a clear and definable statement from two independent people but who seem to know what they are talking about.

I certainly don’t Phizzee. I think it was combination of diabetes, a moderate breeze and a rough pavement!
‘a moderate breeze and a rough pavement’.

Not a word about any of this from our MSM but…….. https://www.notonthebeeb.co.uk/post/surge-of-sports-people-worldwide-suffering-unexpected-ill-health
I can’t possibly claim to be a sports person, but i have suffered similar heart problems after having covid jabs. And even the flu jab kicked it off again. I’m just starting to settle back to what ever normal is expected to be.
It’s recognised in the sporting world, particularly in the context of people trying to compete in fitness levels, that you can kill yourself by actually becoming too fit.
I tested out one of the latest fitness gadgets which does accurately measure heart rate and heart rate variability(HRV). You streaked for 17 days? You naughty, naughty little girl!
I gave up after that – it was just a flash in the pan!
Whatever makes your sauce sizzle. Go for it!
Oh, you did.
It’s recognised in the sporting world, particularly in the context of people trying to compete in fitness levels, that you can kill yourself by actually becoming too fit.
I tested out one of the latest fitness gadgets which does accurately measure heart rate and heart rate variability(HRV). The latter, after spectral analysis, has been shown scientifically to be able to generate a measure of your readiness to continue training at the current level or your need to take a rest.

What has happened to Sos ? I haven’t seen him around for a few weeks, not that I have spent much time here recently.
I hope he’s Okay.
…and Stormy seems to have gone AWOL as well.
And honda.
Wot, the fart goes Honda, you mean? 🙂
I believe Sos is/was travelling.
He is.
You could tell him that lots of people were concerned….that he was coming back. :@)
Understandably, he doesn’t reply to my e-mails/
Perhaps he is having a holiday from tech too. Good idea really.
Sos on holiday?

A turquoise-fronted amazon parrot (Amazona aestiva) looks into a CCTV camera above a highway, in Curitiba, Brazil.
Ah that’s were I left that pesky parrot.
He has rellies in Sydney I think. Lucky him eh.
Oh to be in Sydney now that spring is there,
And visits all the mountains blue with eucalyptus in the air,
A day or two on Manly beach or Bondi for your sport,
Or the Rocks in market street to see what you can sort,
No matter where you go in Oz there’s always something to excite,
But mind effing flies and snakes, my oath can they bloody bite,
There’s Chippendale Darlington and even Waterloo,
I makes you wonder why you came as the names are nothing new,
But take a look around you and never miss a site,
You can take the bus across the Bridge to Crows Nest, just out for the night,
The highway goes for miles and miles, all the way to Cairns,
I drove it once from sweet SA with our caravan Landie, and the eldest of our bairns,
It all might sound quite nostalgic and some times I have a yearning,
It often crosses through my mind and I think hard about returning.
I thought he said he was going to UK?
I must have missed all that Ellie.
Lucky bugger. I wouldn’t bother coming back.
You wouldn’t be allowed out of lockdown.
At least i wouldn’t be spending £1500 on heating this Winter. I wonder if Waitrose deliver to Sydney…. hmm.
I didn’t really want to, my wife is an only child and she missed her parents and the work situation in Oz late 70s was terrible, at the time we were living in our caravan in Gladstone QLD, it was winter so decent weather. But it was a great adventure. I must admit i did have a tear in my eye after my old mate Brucie dropped me off at Melbourne airport before coming back the the UK, I had gone back alone for a month to tidy our belongings.
Just received my first COVID vaccine passport scam e-mail:
Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination – N H S
Dear XXXXX,
The COVID-19 travel certificate has been created in a bid to restore the freedom of travel, which has been put at a halt for over a year now, since the pandemic erupted all over the block.
Through the certificate, the Commission intends to remove travel restrictions as entry bans, quarantine obligation, and testing.
Those holding such a document will be able to travel throughout Europe without the need to quarantine or test for COVID-19
The Passport will be issued to all those who have been fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus, with one of the four vaccines approved by the National Medicine Agency, which are:
AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson)
The certificate will prove that its holder has been vaccinated while also containing additional information on the vaccine, as when the doses were administered, who is the manufacturer, etc.

Just a few clues that this is a scam:
1. The sender’s e-mail address is ‘test@ashica.net’
2. The links point to a site in Japan.
3. Curious use of terminology, such as ‘Commission’ – don’t they know about Brexit?
4. Subtle use of time pressure.
Although I didn’t fall for it, I just wanted to warn fellow NOTTlers about it.
Unsolicited emails, texts or phone calls are always ignored and binned. In the case of phone calls the number is blocked.
I have had several from the NHS about ‘vaccines’ and appointments.
None of them relating to my conditions. Those conditions are not being treated because they are oh so busy pissing about with boosters.

An incredible cricketer. Only 5ft 4in and weighing 7 or 8 stone he once clean bowled all ten batsmen in one innings – still the only instance of all ten wickets being taken “bowled” in any first-class match.

I’m about to be cancelled.
My grandfather, Charles Bowen-Cooke, designed this and had it built at the works at Crewe:
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/2884b9a08ba959801f71e27f6fc4f2de70859115ff8ab5df3d38d5a2c33cdd76.jpg
Added to which my father was a colonial administrator and was the governor of the Northern Province of the Sudan where I was born in 1946 so my chances of escaping cancellation must be extremely slim.
Next they’ll be cancelling Thomas the Tank Engine.
You jest. Some years ago there were shrieks about the carriages being named Annie and Clarabel. Something to do with a male engine being in charge and the carriages doing his bidding.
I’m sure the ‘Fat controller’ will be cancelled.
When the series aired in the US, the Fat Controller’s name was changed to Sir Topham Hat. Reason given was that they didn’t want to upset fat people. I am not kidding!
I remember watching countless episodes of that with my young son. Ringo Starr was the excellent narrator.
Become Sudanese. Then you can be black, and that’s invincible.
Being born in Sudan didn’t make Rastus black.
“Black” is synonymous with “helpless victim”, and Rastus certainly isn’t that.
See the Duke of Wellington for precedent.
Invisible, too, after dark.
Unless smiling…
These “links” to slavery and colonialism are extremely tenuous. One was described in the Mail the other day. In a portrait, a man was sitting on a chair of unspecified dark coloured wood. The “historian” had unerringly detected that this chair was made of wood from the British Empire, and the portrait was therefore problematic. No mention of whether the person who cut down the tree was grateful for having a job.

COVID PHISHING SCAM
I have just received this email from a friend. It is a warning to be alert.
John XXXX
13:38 (6 minutes ago)
to John, bcc: me
I hope this email may help you to avoid a current and topical online fraud, which uses confusions to prey upon people who are anxious about COVID while using unfamiliar web processes. Yesterday I received my third COVID booster vaccination. Today I have foolishly fallen for a scam phishing email.
Today I completed a perfectly valid application for the NHS COVID Pass on the government website, using the URL address printed on the leaflet that I received at the vaccination centre. Within a few minutes, an email appeared from ‘Patient Access’ with the subject line ‘Essential electronic communications (NHS.co.uk) How to get your new NHS-Pass?’ and inviting me to apply for a ‘Hard Copy and Digital Covid-19 Passport’. Since I needed a hard copy rather than use the app, I foolishly followed the link and gave some personal details – fortunately ‘smelling a rat’ when asked for credit card details.
The sender address should have alerted me, since the bracketed email name and email address had the appearance of a far eastern origin. This does not mean that it came from there or that any incoming email you might receive will use the same address – these scam farms generate new names and new email addresses automatically and fast, so the same scam may come from a different email address minutes later.
You may wish to be careful of any incoming email relating to COVID vaccinations and carefully scrutinise the sender address. The speed with which the scam email appeared would suggest that at least the initial communication with the government website was not encrypted and was intercepted.
The email provides links that ask for personal details including:
Address
Mother’s maiden name
Mobile phone number
Debit card details
I have forwarded this email to the official government scam monitoring service at ‘report@phishing.gov.uk’.
Delete anything from the NHS it is not fit for anything.
Thank you.
I have copied it and sent it to many friends and relations.
#meetoo.
Thanks for the reminder to check my spam boxes – just deleted 400 spam emails…………
At least they asked for a credit card. Over here they are asking victims to send bitcoin or gift cards.
Why any government department would ask for fines or fees to be paid in gift cards is beyond me but people continue to be caught in this scam.
The lies being spread about Covid and climate change by the MSN are just so fantastic, and yet so many people believe every word of it. It has suprised just how many people are so thick.Fear controls them and they may live to regret it.
Agreed, Johnny, and yet, if they can be arsed to google, the data is available to make their own mind up.
My conclusion: They like to e frightened, and “protected” by authority.
Even my batshit-crazy teacher friend is terrified by it all – and her I thought had more balls than that. I’m dead disappointed, so I am.
A storm called Wanda is on its way across the Atlantic

The Gower peninsula, south Wales, gains a rainbow as one of the local wild, free-roaming ponies grazes on the hillside.
A storm called Wanda eh? Sounds a bit fishy…
Or maybe wicked?
A bigger, permanent one is continually coming across the Channel all the way from Africa AND Asia. It WILL finish this nation.

Elderly and vulnerable people who are double jabbed have started dying of Covid due to waning immunity, health chief warns as NHS says it is already at peak winter levels for bed occupancy
Dr Susan Hopkins urged more people to come forward to get their top-up jabs
Scientist said more than 60 per cent of population have been offered boosters
Health chiefs warned that the vaccine’s effects wane after five or six months
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10174647/Elderly-double-jabbed-started-dying-Covid-waning-immunity.html
Place in order of credibility:
1. Man-made climate change is destroying the planet;
2. Biden won the 2020 US presidential election fairly and squarely;
3. Covid disease’s origins have nothing to do with the Wuhan labs;
4. There are no side effects to the Covid jabs and nobody has been killed as a result of having them;
5. The jabs will stop you getting Covid and passing it on if you do get it;
6. Having jabs for the rest of your life will be necessary and will render natural immunity redundant so don’t worry about having if destroyed by the jabs.
Not a very good vaccine if the effects wear off in 3 months.
I think I’ll pass.
The comments below are overwhelmingly sceptical now – the DM readers have woken up to this scam.
Not just DM readers!
Someone I know, who is a total normie, told me today that the Pfizer tests were rigged in several different ways! Something I already knew from reading TCW.
Word is getting out.
Some doctors are stating the obvious:
https://rumble.com/vots4l-see-what-this-doctor-had-to-say-about-where-the-variants-are-coming-from.html
I’d add another: If government had more of your money it would solve these problems.
The unvaccinated are the only control group, hence the push to jab them and eliminate the control group. This is a cover up.
The vaccines do not work to stop the spread of the virus except possibly as some minor prophylactic to lessen symptoms but even that benefit is open to serious question.
The PCR test is fraudulent and is being used by unscrupulous medicos to swell supposed ‘cases’ where most testing positive exhibit no symptoms and are thus not infectious.
The vaccines are now clearly associated with all manner of side effects. Subsequent boosters are likely to make matters worse and cause serious injury to recipients.
I hope I live long enough to see Nuremberg 2 trials.
Awkward…

So, Charlene, when are you going to start paying reparations?
..
The problem with many posts, this one included, is that people do not know how to properly form a sentence.
Irony meter just exploded.
So she’s not 100% black?
Half-caste. (Hate crime – police on the way…)
This is why we aren’t coming to the UK for Christmas:
https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/uk-travellers-covid-booster-jab-travel-restriction-b964815.html BTL look like NTTL!
And there’s the threat – booster to save Christmas.
Wankers, the lot of them.
And how do they expect to stop someone travelling? If I cram the family into the motor and visit the father in law, will plod find my number plate, realise I’m not in ‘ampshire and demand checks?
It could, but that’s a police state. Is it willing to go that far to force compliance for something that demonstrably does not work?
Certainly. Look at Australia.
I see increasing levels of skepticism. Eventually, something useful will happen. I hope.
Yes. Look what happened many times last year.
You want police state?
The chairman of Air Canada dared to give a speech in English. Apparently that is said to be breaking the Quebec language laws, the Quebec premier and the idiot Trudeau have jumped in to condemn the speech.
They are now demanding the resignation of the chairman for his criminal act.
They tried that in Ontario, banning cross provincial border travel. The police refused to implement the order so life carried on.
There again the Quebec police were happy to enforce a curfew.
ANPR – you’re nicked.
Yep- – – – threats about xmas lockdown – – – JUST after Diwali has been celebrated??? – – WOW – – – weren;t THEY lucky?????
The state has gone mad. It has lost sight of the reason why it is promoting this.
It seems to be a terror of people dying – or is it the cost to the NHS? If tthe latter, that’s it’s job. All covid has done is expose the incompetence and mismanagement.
Another jab, when it has been made clear that it neither stops nor prevents infection of others is now simply propaganda, especially as it doesn’t seem to help the person vaccinated.
What are they thinking, deep in the bowels of Whitehall?
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/41174115186878b069fbc1dd6483e477ed2403af82bb44e432daa19b6cba735b.jpg
Compulsory enemas for the unvaccinated.
“What are they thinking…” What are they sniffing more like. Stark, staring mad all of them.
The government take instructions from their global masters.
Organised mass illegal immigration facilitated at Dover by Johnson and Patel is no different to the actions of that corpse Biden with the southern border.
Mass and indiscriminate dosing of healthy people with experimental jabs and flagrant coercion to force folk into taking the jabs matches perfectly with the same impulses in America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere.
It is all organised by a Satanic cabal of bankers and global corporations.
They are thinking that everything is going according to plan, and they are nearly there with persuading and bullying the population into accepting vaccine passports, aka digital wallets.

Covid: Get booster jabs so we can enjoy Christmas – Javid
Does the booster improve digestion?
… and it’s still all about the NHS.
Experts say even small dips in immunity among at-risk people will affect the NHS’s ability to cope this winter, as it will likely lead to significantly more people needing hospital treatment.
There’s an advert on TV with a woman in a nurse outfit presumably telling people to get jabbed as characters walking around have a blue outline round them. A pity it wasn’t green; then we could see they were radioactive.
You can bet everything that you and your family own, that there will be NO restrictions around the time of any Islamic ‘festivals’
They are working up to locking us down again for Christmas.
That’s my opinion too.
They are trying something similar over here.
The US Canada land border reopens for non essential travel on Monday, only one small problem – the canadian government are demanding one of the expensive PCR tests before crossing the border.
All of the hopes for a resumption of cross border day trips have been dashed by this new requirement.
Going through the joke book, I came across this and it reminded me that someone yesterday had problems getting our wonderful Police Farce to take some action over a serious crime.
This might help if you’re in desperate need:
How To Call The Police When You’re Old
Phillip Hewitson, an elderly man, from Norwich, was going up to bed, when his wife told him that he’d left the light on in the garden shed, which she could see from the bedroom window. George opened the back door to go turn off the light, but saw that there were people in the shed stealing things.
He phoned the police, who asked “Is someone in your house?”
He said “No,” but some people are breaking into my garden shed and stealing from me.
Then the police dispatcher said “All patrols are busy. You should lock your doors and an officer will be along when one is available.”
Phillip said, “Okay.”
He hung up the phone and counted to 30.
Then he phoned the police again.
“Hello, I just called you a few seconds ago because there were people stealing things from my shed. Well you don’t have to worry about them now because I just shot them.” and he hung up.
Within five minutes, Six Police Cars, a SWAT Team, a Helicopter, two Fire Trucks, a Paramedic, and an Ambulance showed up at the Hewitson’s residence, and caught the burglars red-handed.
One of the Policemen said to Phillip, “I thought you said that you’d shot them!”
Phillip said, “I thought you said there was nobody available!”
(True Story)
Never try to out-fox a pensioner.
Does Phillip change his name to George every half minute and then back to Phillip half a minute later?
Maybe it’s a feature of being a George – you get to be Phillip as a bonus!
It didn’t work for me, Sydney.
We should leave Joyce Grenfell with the last word:
“George ………….. Don’t do that!”
If you haven’t done already, do read Joyce Grenfell’s autobiographies. Joyce Grenfell Requests the Pleasure and In Pleasant Places. I read them years ago and remember them with great affection. Such a lovely lady.
Seems to work for Prince Charles…!
It’s a mish-mash, clearly taken originally from an American source. Although it says “Phillip Hewitson, an elderly man, from Norwich”, the use of “SWAT Team” and “Fire Trucks” is a give-away.
He must have been thinking of you, old boy.
Thanks for spotting that, I’ve had that (true) story in my book for God knows how long and never noticed it. Edited.

Here’s happy:
I have returned from the UK to a much pleasanter place.
What on earth have they done to our country?
Coooeee! We’ve been having loads of fun being rude about you whilst you were away!

Water off a duck’s back.
OUR Country…?
Some Bast*rd gave it away in 1973….!
The real bastards are the ones who have blown the opportunity to take it back.
You’ve heard of U3A – University of the Third Age, well it seems those nominally in power are working on U3W – University of the Third World encompassing the whole of GB…..
Third world?
Fourth division and about to be relegated.
Am going to Lunnon for three days quite soon. It will be wonderful to see grand-daughter and one grandson. And some art. But, for the first time ever, I am not looking forward to it.
I’m sorry about that, Bill.
I’d love to be visitng grandchildren, if I had any, but I can see why you might not be too keen on a trip to Londonistan.
Do you have a stab vest?
I make the MR walk in front…{:¬))

You should black up, otherwise you’ll feel out of place.
I’m there next Sunday, for the Fauré Requiem. St John, Wimbledon, so it prolly doesn’t count as Lunnon…
Love Faure’s Requiem- sublime.
Quite. Went to Exeter Cathedral on Tuesday, supposedly for Evensong, but it was an All Souls’ Eucharist, with the choir singing Duruflé’s Requiem. Prefer Fauré…
Me too!
I sang Fauré’s Requiem when I was in the university choir.
Enough about Carlisle United… 🙄
Do you mean U3A?
I did and corrected the typo earlier!
You’ve heard of U3A – University of the Third Age, well it seems those nominally in power are working on U3W – University of the Third World encompassing the whole of GB…..
Good to see from you, Sos.
Glad you made it safely.
That’s one reason we aren’t hurrying to visit.
What? That he has been here?
Yo sos
Our country, you cannot be meaning the Caliphate of London and its’ provinces, ………….. can you????????
Indeed I do.
Sadly…

Our country, you cannot be meaning the Caliphate of London and its’ provinces, ………….. can you????????
We in the UK, have been denied the right to freedom of speech, since the mid sixties…..aka.The Race Relations Act….

All too true.

If I were a cynic I would be beginning to wonder if Covid is as big a scam as Global Warming and was organised by Big Pharma in conjunction with the Chinese laboratory in Wuhan.
That’s me for the day. A quiet one. The MR had her third vaccination yesterday and, as predicted, is feeling lousy. I told her to get used to it as, soon, we’ll be expected to have one a month.
Still, jigsaw well under way. A really nice one – unlike the last bastard that took us six months. Then we passed it on to our next door neighbour who did it in five days (“Rather a tricky one,” was his comment as I slammed the door in his face!!)
Have a jolly evening preparing your application (and cheque) for a peerage.
A demain.
Not Looking Good, is it ?
The man of the future will be of mixed race. The races and classes of today will gradually disappear due to the elimination of space, time, and prejudice. The Eurasian-negroid race of the future, similar in appearance to the Ancient Egyptians, will replace the current diversity of peoples and the diversity of individuals. – Count Richard von Coudenhove Kalergi
http://www.westernspring.co…
So much for ‘diversity’.
Elimination of space – you mean, overcrowding?
I’m not sure how he would eliminate time.
Maybe he should be eliminated, to show us the way?
Arse.

Now on ITV4

The pipes, the pipes are calling.
I am watching Charlie and the Chocolate factory on Channel 5. Just light stuff.
There was an advert for https://www.visitqatar.qa/en/about-qatar
I flagged up Qatar and I couldn’t believe what I saw..
Are we being taken for mugs by importing thousands of Muslims from far away countries , but you can bet your bottom dollar that NO ONE from Qatar seeks sanctuary here in the UK.
Why cannot the other so called rich Moslem Arab states take these people .. They speak English in Qatar as well, don’t they.
“Qatar is a land where tradition meets modernity. It is a country whose people are rooted in their heritage while maintaining an eye on the future, and Qatar’s growing global role in business, politics, and education.
There is a deep respect for the nation’s history – archaeological sites and artefacts are painstakingly excavated and cared for – protected in-situ or housed in museums. Qatar is home to everything from neolithic rock carvings, modernist skyscrapers and gentle Dugongs in its glittering waters. This is where ancient dwellings are only a stone’s throw from world class museums, glistening malls, desert adventures, and international sports venues. ”
Why do Muslims and others who come to Britain NOT RESPECT our history, traditions and heritage ?
Yes, English spoken in Qatar.
I have enjoyed reading all about Qatar .
To have rebuilt a country on oil wealth since the early seventies and created a wonderful clean self sufficient desert environement is impressive .
Why haven’t we kept up … it is because successive governments here have been a load of balderdash, and why we are in a real mess.
If sophisticated Arab countries can rise up from sandy deserts and create what looks like a cultural paradise , with rules and discipline , how have they done it ?
Have you worked there OB?
Hi Belle.
Never worked in Qatar, just visited.
But maybe they saw the opportunity of sudden oil riches to use the money for capital development, rather than prop up unemployment, as did the UK. A small population with minimal social spending must have helped too, and no need to stand for re-election.
The ultimate democracy with the Sheikh being the one man with the one vote?
I’ve worked there. Insuffrably humid in spring and summer.
Where do they get their fresh water and electricity from, and why don’t roads melt in the heat .
Roads occasionally do melt (well, go soft), but you put less bitumen in the aggregate mix to asphalt the roads – and it works out OK.
Water – either wells, or more likely, desalination (there’s welld & streams on Bahrain, for example).
It’s incredibly humid on the east coast of the US. Roads do go soft and rail tracks buckle in the heat. If you want to experience that kind of humidity, soak a thick wool blanket in boiling water and wrap yourself in it. It ain’t nice.
Alternatively, land in Athens at midnight in the middle of a heatwave.
They have power plants fuelled by the gas they produce and de-salination plants for fresh water. The serious labouring work is done by thousands of workers from the sub-continent and the skilled workers are mainly Filipino.
Not sure about the roads.
You ‘avin’ a laff? They don’t want all those Africans.
Neither do we – – but BJ and PP wants the effin whole of Africa in hotels.
Qatar allows thriving church communities too.
Which beats the UK. I might consider moving… 🙄
Sunny & warm, too. Expatriates living in Qatar can buy alcohol via a permit system. It is also available in licenced restaurants and hotels which may sell alcohol to adult, non-Muslim customers in restricted areas.
I wish I was 30 years younger , with loads of money and energy
Us too, Belle. Us too.
i don’t believe you are even old enough now to be able to lose 30 years !!!
Oh you are a flatterer Walter.
I wish ! x
My mate spent some years working there, until him and his wife saw bodies floating in the harbour, which had come down from the last war further North. He;s ex navy here so bodies no problem. But none of the locals seemed to be doing anything about getting these bodies removed.
Sounds just like dead bodies in Nigerian creeks .. they just float on by.
That’ll be here soon.

Oh so slick , Geoff.
Where did you dig that out from?
Islam is intent on world domination, Belle, that is why they are here. We are literally being invaded. And invaders do not respect the culture and history and heritage of a country they are invading.
The adverts, Belle, are probably appearing as the football World Cup is there next year.
The architecture and what is on offer appears to be an amazing cultural rennaisance of East and West.
They won’t be putting up with any nonsense , will they?
This is the future if we comply.

Thankfully, I don’t do Facebook. But good point, well made…
Neither do I, but it is an example of anything that we do online, anything we say here, anything we buy online. Any transgressions – eg going through traffic lights as they change, accidentally driving in the bus lane for a few seconds to gain entry to somewhere, buying more meat than you are allowed from your once monthly ration… the list is endless.
Quite. The end is listless…
That is one of the aspects of using credit/debit cards which friends in Germany warned against 30+ years ago.
Critized? – – on the screen.
Yes, but you get the general idea.
Horse lovers , what do you think of this then?

I saw that on Twitter. I cannot bear to watch it again, it makes my heart break.
What a cow.
It doesn’t take much effort to capture 27seconds of disgusting behaviour – anywhere, anytime, any day.
It is used as propaganda …
This is what we need injected into our police, military, and public institutions (States rights are such a key feature of the USA):

Russian spy ship
picturedtracking Royal Navy vessel in rare sightingThe Kildin, a Russian Moma-class spy ship, may have been keeping tabs on HMS Queen Elizabeth’s recent exercises with Omani Forces
When I was on the Ark Royal.back in the late 60’s early 70’s, we were always accompanied by “Charlie” our own USSR spy ship.
Captain Ray Lygo, the Ship’s Commanding Officer, organised our SAR Wessex, to deliver bread to them every morning
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2021/11/07/russian-spy-ship-pictured-tracking-royal-navy-vessel-rare-sighting/
I lived in Shandon (near Helensburgh) in the ‘Seventies and regularly sailed/ raced on the Clyde.
Invariably there was a USSR spy ship anchored at ‘The Tail O’ The Bank’ – off Greenock – and 95 miles from the Irish Sea.
Presumably, every movement of the newish Polaris submarine fleet at HMNB Clyde was carefully monitored …
Never could I understand why the presence of the USSR spy ship was tolerated.
In the 80’s I was on a frigate, alongside in Faslane Naval Base, on a Sunday, when over the over the ship’s Tannoy came the orfer
Action Wasp. Which meant Lauch the helo, within 30 minutes
The helo was Serviceable, ie fit to fly, but was fast asleep in the Hangar.
We rolled it out of the hangar, spread the main and tail rotor blades and did first line servicing on it: to make it fit to fly
I went to the flying brief, found out what role it was to be in and the task.
We launched the helo, to pick up a senior officer from a Golf Course, seemingly a Russian sub had been detected
along the route one of our nuclear subs was going to use.
Anti submarine Sea Kings were launched from their base at Prestwick
We did our Taxi service, role changed the helo to take Homing Torpedo and Depth Charge
We then loaded WARSHOT weapons, and launched the helo, under the control of a Sea King
Then everything slowly died down, helo landed, weapons unloaded, budgie put to bed, mess for a pint
Bosses at one of the world’s biggest investment firms State Street will need to get special permission to hire white men as part of new diversity drive
State Street aims to triple number of black, Asian and other minority senior staff
Failure to meet target by 2023 will result in executives’ bonuses being lowered
The investment firm has 30 offices worldwide and employs 39,400 people
Recruiters must show that candidates have been interviewed by a diverse panel
By JAMIE PHILLIPS FOR MAILONLINE
Dame Cressida faced criticism fury after she called for a law change to let the force favour ethnic minority candidates over their equally qualified white applicants.
Britain’s most senior police officer made the plea after emphasising that police forces must reflect the community they serve.
The Met is currently made up of 18 per cent black and ethnic minority officers, but is aiming to increase this to 40 per cent – the same proportion of black and ethnic minorities in London.
However, a Home Office source said: ‘It’s fair to say positive discrimination is illegal for a reason.’
A woman in charge of diversity at NHS England also earned more than its chief executive and half as much more than the Prime Minister, The Mail on Sunday revealed September.
According to accounts for 2019-20, Prerana Issar joined NHS England as chief people officer in April 2019 on an annual salary of between £230,000 and £235,000 – equivalent to the salaries of nine newly qualified nurses or the cost of 20 hip replacement operations.
The salary is far higher than that of Boris Johnson – who is paid £157,332 – and £35,000 more than that earned by her now former boss Lord Stevens, who opted to take a 10 per cent pay cut in each of his seven years in charge of NHS England.

Go woke, go broke.
HA! HA! HA!
So, job is depending on skin colour? – not talent – THAT should be a success. NO point in white people even applying to join nor those already there, trying for a promotion.
What happens if ALL the people with their billions invested there – – moved it to another company??? Effectively shutting it?
THAT would cut the bonuses !!!!!
40% black and ethnic in London. It literally is a foreign country.
How can a salary of £230,000-235,000 be justified, just because she is (probably) a woman of colour.
he NHS is always screaming for funds to fritter away on someone who maybe is just as talented and qualified, as any white woman (if this position is REALLY needed) on probably much less than half that salary.
Has Bill taken leave for the evening ?
Never mind, it seems everyone is doing this every year..
Some very nice 6 packs!

How about a Nottle nude calendar? We might need bigger buns……..
You are kidding, aren’t you???
Exactly; at our age we feel the cold.
I will have to dig out my black tights again…..
I’m probably going to have nightmares about this.
Oooh, just remembered- I have some black tights- hmmm.
More so than uncle Bill, he is probably so excited at the thought of such attire that he wil not be able to sleep.
I should apologise to everyone…am in a very silly mood and it ain’t goin’ anywhere;-)
No apologies necessary, Lotl.
We all need a bit of silliness from time to time.
Oh goodie… free reign;-)
It’s climate change, LotL – free rain 🙂
Rubbish, you have ben missed.
Black tights, nothing, Black stockings, c’est parfait!
And suspenders….
Maybe I am and maybe I’m not. Should be two calendars- one male and one female. Organising the photo shoot could be a logistical nightmare.
I think I’ll stick to hedgehogs.
I think most of us would stick to hedgehogs 😉 Or they would stick to us…
Good idea! Why not!
You can be January Man on the male calendar.
No problem.
When is the photoshoot?
;-)))
Urgh! That thought was nearly worth a downvote, LotL! Pass the mind bleach!
Gee thanks! We aren’t hideous you know. I happen to be an 8 stone weakling and am only 5’4″. Grrrrrr!
SWMBO is only 5’2″. Made small to stop her taking over the world, single-handed.
So, I see your Grr! and raise you! :-D)
If we girlie NOTTLers wear Liberty bodies, Uncle Bill would definitely buy one. Which month should feature rubber buttons?
Only the winter months. Summer we can go button less;-))
I will wear Chanel , if that is okay , and my pearls!
Be careful about getting perfume on your pearls. I understand it can damage them.
If that is so Conway, I won’t wear pearls .. just me and a choice of perfume.. and maybe dark glasses.
No flowers à la Lady Chatterley? 🙂
Personally, I think that is the most tedious book. There is more sexual tension in The Virgin and The Gypsy than there is in that boring book. Oliver Mellors is a joke.
Like the lady at the piano in the movie;-)
Next year, the calendar will be Woken up and contain only pictures of ‘Converts’ who have had bitz added or bitz taken away,
to match their declared ‘gender

But they don’t bare all! Where are the naughty bits!
I remember a Peter Cook and Dudley Moore sketch where, in their imagination, a semi naked film star arrives in the domain of Pete and Dud who are, obviously disappointed:
“And your bra and panties they demand!” (and with no tastefully concealing camera angles!)
Richard – -didn’t you once put a photo on here of you and Caroline leaping into a lake? Or is my memory going?
Not that I can remember!
Are you thinking of Lawrence Harvey in the Manchurian Candidate?
NOT sure now.
Some of the blokes look as though they have well developed breasts.
Funny you should say that because one of the guys I noticed had enviable firm not floppy moobs 🤣
You mean the top right photo – the person on the left? – does look a bit ????
Electric cars to get more expensive as battery costs soar
Chinese producers are said to be writing to customers looking to renegotiate contracts, including moving away from fixed pricing structures
DT story
So their plan is to get everybody who wishes any sort of mobility freedom will be be held by the short and curlies in a vice like grip.
That’s what they wanted. That’s what they’ll get.
Is anybody surprised?
I wonder if we will see the equivalent of speakeasies, where petrol-heads will surreptitiously refuel their illegal cars while pretending to recharge them?
Is that just supply and demand?
Good night all.
The remains of last night’s poussin made a really good soup. Missy enjoyed the breast, which I don’t like.
Individual meatloaves here with sauteed baby spuds, carrots and onion gravy.
Missy is a lucky kit kat;-)
She shares all my meat & fish dishes.
As does Poppie with ours. She gets very excited as the evening meal approaches. She gets only meat and a little of the veg. We don’t give her other human food. She has her own food too, but she likes a taster of what we are eating, the smells would be very tantalising otherwise.
Lily likes meat too. We had roast lamb this evening, roast spuds cauli & leek. Smoked salmon starte & fruit salad for afters. Then we watched Nicola Benedetti.
My Wookie would be sitting in my chair eating off my plate if he got half a chance 🙁 His table manners are appalling (and he seems to be slow on the uptake that if he barks, he gets nothing; to be rewarded he has to sit quietly).
And now, some good news
Max Verstappen cruises to Mexican GP win to increase advantage over Lewis Hamilton

Wunderbar – up your’s Hamilton you racist.
Luckily, he was a poor racist today
Evening, all. We had climate change in the sermon at church again today, plus prayers for it (presumably for alleviating it, but that wasn’t clear). When I heard the (replacement – we’re in a vacancy) priest start off with the greetings I knew we were in for some wokery. Frankly, he reminded me of Richard Hearne (Mr Pastry). We also had show and tell for the kiddikins and the inevitable rounds of applause. It’s not what I go to church for. I asked him afterwards where he came from (he had a strong northern accent) and he told me somewhere near Chester! It turns out he was originally from near Wigan.
If I were still a church-goer and believer (which I no longer am), I would have walked out of this priest’s service during his woke prayers and/or sermon.
Here’s a poem to ponder….
An old mad, blind, despised and dying King,
Princes, the dregs of their dull race, who flow
Through public scorn- mud from a muddy spring.
Rulers who neither see nor feel nor know
But leechlike to their fainting country cling
‘Til they drop, blind in blood without a blow.
A people starved and stabbed in the untilled field,
An army whom liberticide and prey
Makes as a two edged sword to all who wield.
Golden and sanguine laws which tempt and slay;
Religion Christless, godless – a book sealed,
A senate, time’s worst statute unrepealed
Are graves from which a glorious phantom
May burst, to illumine our tempestuous day.
Shelley – England 1819
Lotl
Before you turn in , who was Shelley referring to , perhaps George 3rd?
Yes, and the princes who were the Prince Regent and others who were all dissolute and disreputable. Shelley wrote this after the Peterloo massacre which horrified him- but he was living in Italy at the time, so well distanced.
Good night, my friends and God bless.
Good night Tom .
And now the busy day is done
Father , bless us , everyone
Keep us safely through the night
Till we see the morning light
Amen
That’s me off to bed!
I had a walk over to Matlock Bath, via a pint in the King’s Head and Ember Farm, and found out the the Sunday Night Open Mic in the Fishpond was on, so did a spot and then walked back up the hill and home again.
A very enjoyable night.
Good night all 😴
Good morning ! :@(
Goodnight, all.
Good night
Good night Conway, Oscar, Peter, Missy and all others on this site.
It just goes from bad to worse!

It will come as no surprise to you to learn the Audit Commission was abolished a few years ago with the work of auditing Local Government and the NHS being farmed out to auditing firms.
I would say it beggars belief, but sadly it’s what we’ve come to expect from our political classes.
And dear Matt Hancock says all NHS should be compulsory vaccinated. And guess what – soon after, the rest of us should be compulsorily jabbed.
Morning all.
Perhaps he should just lie low, STFU and hope they don’t audit the contracts he placed while a Minister!
Totally agree. The whole government seems corrupt and venal.
And how is it people cannot see what’s coming down the line – compulsorily vaccinate care homes/NHS staff – do people really think it will end there? Or don’t they think at all?
How can a “vaccination” (which used to mean protection from getting that disease), that only lasts for about 5/6 months by government admission, followed by “booster” jabs that will also only last for 5/6 months, be foisted on those who do not wish to have experimental jabs? Why does the public not understand what we are being led towards?
I just don’t understand.
Good morning all – Monday’s new page is here.
No it’s not. It links to Sunday’s page!
