Good morrow, Gentlefolks, today’s story
Making Contact
In a small Irish town, Tommy Lenahan goes to confession. “Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.”
“What is the nature of your sin, my son?” asks the priest.
“I’ve been with a loose woman, Father,” replies Tommy.
“Who was she?” the priest asks him.
“I can’t tell you that, Father, as I wouldn’t wish to sully her reputation.”
“Was it Annie Murphy?”
“No, Father.”
Was it Bernadette O’Connell?”
“No, Father.”
“Perhaps it was Colleen McBride.”
“No, Father, it wasn’t her.”
“Then who was she?”
“As I said, Father, I really can’t tell you.”
“Very well then, as a penance you can say five Our Fathers and four Hail Marys.”
Tommy goes back to his pew where his friend asks him, “How did you get on?”
He replies,
“Not bad. I got five Our Fathers, four Hail Marys and three good leads.”
Good morning all.
Back from my travels and it’s 10°C outside with a bright clear start to the day.

373828+ up ticks,
O2O,
Tis only these last few years this issue has been
seemingly a major concern.
Truth be told if it exists at all it is down purely to
the putrid odour emanating from political corruption that is rife via the current WEF/NWO
political overseeing kapos.
In the US, ‘elk’ is not a synonym for moose. The elk is a large deer, very similar to the red deer, and its alternative (native American) name is wapiti.
The levy on energy bills is a net-zero poll tax. 26 June 2023.
A green levy of £170 is to be reimposed next month on household energy bills to support the development of renewables. The charge was suspended last autumn for two years and the cost shifted on to general taxes. The levy was considered regressive because its cost would fall disproportionately on the less well-off. A time of high inflation and soaring bills is hardly when to impose a net-zero poll tax on households.
The only way out of this madness and oppression is revolution.

Vote Reform
373828+ up ticks,
Morning JN,
I beg to disagree, to many tory (ino) ties
plus farage input.
At one of the by-elections YES as with RECLAIM at the other, otherwise in my book a NO NO.
No to Labour, Tory, Libs. Greens. Yes to reform
373828+ up ticks,
JN,
Your choice JN, they carry to much tory (ino) party baggage for my likes.
Ogga, if there is no other alternative on the card, then what would you like us to do? Spoil our ballot?
373828+ up ticks,
Morning Bob.
Currently those voting for these “governing ” parties are to say the least “shite graders”
Total boycott, nationwide by the indigenous peoples,
we came together before in national unity 39 / 45 to combat such an issue this is strongly building into.
They all need a massive election shock to make them change from left wing policy
373828+ up ticks.
JN,
Very much needed, seeing as the last right wing patriotic party was UKIP under the Batten leadership.
All current “governing” parties form the left wing coalition party under the WEF / NWO umbrella.
373828+ up ticks,
JN,
Only the suffering peoples can do that.
Agreed, Minty, but who will lead it?
Cometh the hour, cometh the man.
But where the eff, is he?
Morning Nan. Well I’m too old but the alternative is the destruction of the UK and its people! .
#MeToo at 79 Though give me a machine gun and enough ammo, I could still play pop in Dewsbury.
Last time, it was a she.
So where is she. Come on Anne, I’m sure you can raise an army of Annes and Anns.
🙂
That hour hath not yet cometh. The indigenous Brits always leave it until the last minute. ‘It was not part of their blood, it came to them very late….’
This is the political suicide note of the Conservative Party.
Net Zero will achieve Net Zero Conservative MPs after the next election.
Morning Richard. We can only hope so but the alternative is even worse.
Hobson was spoiled by comparison.
Great comment!!!
Hobson’s clients were spoiled by comparison?
Knowing our luck, the horse nearest the door will be lame!
But it doesn’t matter, Richard. The Labour morons are just as wedded to this nonsensical fallacy. As for the lib dems and the greens – they’re the proponents of this maniac ideology.
The electorate of Uxbridge and South Ruislip could open the door to a peaceful revolution by deserting the dangerous and useless beyond measure faux Tories and vote for Laurence Fox. If the Tory support returns another stooge, stays at home or switches to Lib Dem, or worse, Smarmer’s rabble, then the likelihood of a revolution of any kind at the moment is very remote.
How bad must the situation become before people realise that the major parties have declared war on them via Net Zero, 15 minutes neighbourhoods, bribing farmers to sell up and retire and of course the Channel invasion? Perhaps the electorate will rouse itself from its slumber when both the planned food shortages and power cuts hit home.
They won’t believe it until it happens. And then it will be bedlam. Homes will be ransacked for food. It happens elsewhere, it will happen here. In the end there is nothing ‘special’ about us. We grabbed the laurels from the heads of our ancestors with alacrity and did nothing to contribute. The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.
Privatised profits, socialised losses. This is why unreliable must not receive a penny of public money. No rigged price of sale, no rigged subsidy, no fixed returns. If the wind doesn’t blow, they don’t have anything to sell and they make a loss. If they cannot survive in the market then they cannot survive. Forcing the tax payer to adsorb their costs is just disgusting.
The state continues to refuse to accept that high energy costs are a massive factor in inflation. It’s a staggering deceit.
Morning, all Y’all.
Cloudy and cool. Back at work 🙁
Some of us wish we still were!
‘Morning, Paul.
Blue sky cool and welcome. 17C
Morning Geoff and all,
I’ve posted a few links to tutorial videos on the implications of using web applications employing Artifical Intelligence algorithms.
Microsoft’s Bing browser has one built in so I thought I’d try it out by setting up its icon on my ZenPad tablet,
Here’s the start screen: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/33f1973438b38dc13577afafb56e7a9af6379a8685e1baefd42ed7c6d4122e05.jpg
I thought I’d ask Bing what TQT was in the context of medication and here’s the answee: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/08f3fee157110838d2f4ac69bda3a181cf9d30e8a6b4df55f6e89d0862165277.jpg
I’m impressed because the TQT study in drug testing was brought in to avoid the risk of harm through adversely altering the heart’s rhythm and I reckoned that not many doctors nor pharmacists would know about it.
I know a lot about it because I almost died after taking a medication containing Terfenadine so I asked Bing about that as well: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/0f10a1b2e93ef31e1e84105331f202d777b422e41cbc9ac510d10130340b8824.jpg
Well now I do know now that the evidence of why I nearly died is still there on the internet and it hasn’t been entirely covered up or disappeared in the interest of promoting repurposed drugs.
Morning, all. Sunny and breezy here. Cool outside at 06:15. Fruit picking is first item on the agenda.
A common accusation, with plenty of proof to back up the claims, is that government at all levels have a propensity to foul up much of what they get involved with. The handling of the “pandemic” is a case in point and Dr Rancourt has his say in this video.

Good morning folks,
Still sunny here but cooler and windy
Power is rapidly ebbing away from Vladimir Putin’s monstrous regime
And moving to the Globalist monstrous regime
Russian agents’ threat to family made Prigozhin call off Moscow advance. 26 June 2023.
Russian intelligence services threatened to harm the families of Wagner leaders before Yevgeny Prigozhin called off his advance on Moscow, according to UK security sources.
There is absolutely no evidence offered to support this assertion and two paragraphs later the writer is talking about a deal. This aside it beggars belief that Prigozin would set out on his adventure without first ensuring the safety of his family. An essential one would have thought for a revolutionary.
The propaganda about Russia is becoming increasingly unhinged. One suspects that this is due to the failure of the Ukie Counter-Attack and the realisation that its success, for whatever reason, is not possible.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/06/25/yevgeny-prigozhin-moscow-advance-putin-threat-wagner-family/
In a script that could have been written by Hollywood scriptwriters, Mr Prigozhin said….
Good Moaning.
Well, had a very immediate experience of why you should not walk dogs on hot pavements.
Stepped out barefoot onto the Dower House terrace yesterday afternoon and thought I was fire walking.
I hit 30+ degrees yesterday. I walk the floofs just at dawn and it was very warm then, simply because the ground lets all the heat out overnight.
Thankfully we can nip through the tree bit for a while and get some shade then, but it’s still too damned hot.
I feel guilty about complaining … I spent the Spring whinging about the cold NE wind.
Mustn’t grumble!

This UK Covid-19 Inquiry
UK Covid-19 Inquiry
https://covid19.public-inquiry.uk
The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has been set up to examine the UK’s response to and impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and learn lessons for the future.
It MUST also be carried out in depth as to why so many died prematurely, it was NOT AI that triggered the political reaction it could be found to be a campaign of fear and manipulation of the masses via what passes to be human beings, if found to be so
then it surely dictates that political / pharmascuital heads must be held to account.
If proved they do the crime then they do the time.
https://twitter.com/WallStreetSilv/status/1673039127086874624?s=20
They won’t be looking into that kind of thing.
373828+ up ticks,
Morning N,
Ultimately I do not believe it will be left to those running the enquiry to pick & mix what questions can & cannot be answered.
The issue is far too important the peoples surely want honest interim reports, and eventually an
honest closure.
The deaths & injuries are an ongoing concern, and answers must be given, these past odious actions cannot be carried into the future.
Honesty? From the state? Don’t be daft, Ogga. I’ll tell you what the enqiry will find now, if you want:
* The NHS was blameless and did everything it could with limited funds.
* PHE (public health England) was a superb organisation that did amazing work and should be given more money.
* The evul Tories austerity caused the problem
* Brexit caused the problem
* The poor were hurt most, as they always are by da evul Toreees
* Labour were marvellous and ignored by da evul Toreees!
* Big state good, small state bad.
* If we had been inn the EU the vaccine would have been better and cheaper and support the QLTBGupDownLeftRightPressStar crowd more.
* The treasury did not waste any money, in fact it needed more to spend to help businesses
* Boris did everything wrong
* All Toreees are evul!!!!! Reeee!
This will be delivered in 5 volumes, each of over 1000 densely printed pages that no one will ever bother with again. The next pandemic will follow exactly the same course as the last one. Nothing will change.
373828+ up ticks,
Morning W,
Then mass death will be well deserved.
When the majority of voters continue to support mass
paedophilia importation parties as seen via rotherham plus, plus, plus then nothing surprises me.
Many are showing they are willing to sacrifice their children on the altar of the ersatz party name.
Daft ? maybe.
You’ve read it already, then? 🙂
You bet?
Good morning, all. Last day. Hot already.
Off Home tomorrow?
He is. When he gets home he wishes to be known as the Lord of the flies.
Now that’s what I call Golding the Lily…..!
He will get home and put his feet up to some music by Wings.
A body blow to those who hoped that Prince William was more intelligent than the Idiot King, his father, and less prepared to enter the political fray:
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6b145b50911ce2fdf285f4b880577587ef13ae1da59b7dd9b3c542868fbbecac.png
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2023/06/26/prince-of-wales-launch-homewards-end-homelessness/
As several BTLiners suggested with 1,000,000 homeless immigrants coming to Britain each year William’s ‘life work to end homelessness’ cannot possibly be realised. But if he is going to try at least he could start insisting that those who arrive illegally are expelled immediately and homeless ex-servicemen are at the top of his list for housing?
Wazzock could make a start on all the homeless former servicemen.
That will make the best headlines, so they probably will. But they won’t solve homelessness. The more free facilities they provide, the more homeless will turn up to take advantage of them.
I helped at the homeless shelter at my local church a few years ago. At the time there was a real need but our council now, maybe as a result of these shelters, takes on responsibility for housing the homeless so they stopped and have not restarted after Covid. This is a completely different situation to the migrant things, which wasn’t really an issue back then. I support the Prince’s aim to stamp out the traditional homelessness but he should not be taking this line on migrants, refugees or not.
You probably didn’t know that last week was Refugee Week – https://refugeeweek.org.uk – no, I had never heard of this organisation either but we had a prayer session for them at our church yesterday. I guess there are indeed genuine refugees but the masses we are seeing in our land are very different and I certainly couldn’t support them in a prayer session.
There is a genial ‘Big Issue’ seller in Great Malvern. I’ve seen the same man at his pitch for over twenty years. How could he have been homeless all this time?
I used to buy the magazine when it was written and edited by the homeless, but it soon became only prepared to push celebrity & lifestyle, which are of no interest to me. I also wonder whether the vendors are truly homeless, rather than living conventional lives just like any street vendor.
The problem I have with refugees is the incapacity of our border agencies to examine the character of those arriving before making a decision what they are. I have heard so many stories of organised criminals and even Wagner-style fifth columnists to be installed into sleeper cells using the refugee route to gain favoured access to our society.
What is even worse is that they will calmly and coolly put the genuine refugees in the hold before scuttling the boat, leaving just the cuckoo villains to take over the nest. How many women and real children actually make it out of Muslim countries anyway? Aren’t they useful collateral as slaves in their homeland? Yet I never see that particular statue being toppled, lest it be deemed “islamophobic”, which is of course a hate crime here.
After the legal decision, made at the behest of a Romanian Gimmegrant, that Big Issue sellers were self employed and thus eligible for extra benefits, in many areas the sales are controlled by gangs of Romanian Roma.
I stopped buying the Big Issue years ago when I saw our neighbour selling it!
Complicated and dishonest setup where his girlfriend was getting the council to buy her flat for her via housing benefit. Both drug addicts. Child born with complications, would have died without immediate and very costly surgery. Stole stuff, including from us. Carted off to rehab eventually, I do not know what became of him after that.
W have the same in Colchester.
The same woman has hovered around Scheregate Steps for years.
I believe she achieved brief fame/notoriety for verbally abusing on-buyers.
I did know it was refugee week – it was mentioned in the homily in church on Sunday. I fear I was less than impressed. Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa!
Mr Windsor, Homelessness could be solved tomorrow. It simply means that councils have to stop their rigging of housing applications for their own benefit, we must withdraw from the HRA, migration pact and ECHR. What! You cry. These are good things! No, they are not. They hamstring us to an appalling commitment to support the world at our own expense.
By removing acres of legislation we could remove those here illegally and house those who need help – because they don’t just need a home, many need psychological help – just like the trans people.
Society is broken because far too many people are taking far too much out – every single teenage mother breeding for cash, for example. The muslim population is 70% entirely welfare dependent. They could work, they just don’t want to. This must change. To do good, we must be cruel. I don’t believe you’ve the bottle to raise that fact.
Why should the slammers work? They see welfare payments as jizya (the tax dhimmis pay for living in a muslim country).
My heart sank when I saw this headline too.
What a fool, if he believes he can end homelessness. No better than his brother Harry.
Why oh why, did they not LEARN more from the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh?
Philip, with his light touch on the monarchy, was one of the best monarchs this country has ever had!
As Christ himself said:
“For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.”
[Matthew 26.11)
Good morning Richard ,
There is a programme on morning BBC TV called Homes under the hammer Derelict homes or homes that just need TLC an even offices appear to be bought by darkies or similar at Auction , the buyers appear to have so much money and talent .
Generally speaking , these homes are converted for multi occupancy , and are probably let out to tenants on the council list or let out privately .
I hear that William will be as meddlesome as his father , who has turfed people out of Crown property and duchy land .
William must realise that migrant families are huge , they don’t just have 3 children , but eight or more and many sets of twins .
Families bring cultural problems as their children grow up . I doubt that on many areas of Duchy land , current residents will not be happy with the problems that so many dysfunctional families inflict on neighbourhoods.
Good morning Mr T and everyone. Not exactly. HRH the Prince of Wales is subtly hinting that he wishes to tactfully suggest to His Majesty the King that Uncle Andrew should not be evicted from his grace and favour hostel on the outskirts of the Windsor estate.
Hadn’t thought of that!
Or perhaps William is planning to house 30 homeless people at Andrew’s current house?
Rather than spouting all this WOKE crap, tackle the only issue that is destroying the planet, human overbreeding.
Oh, I forgot. you are an overbreeder yourself!
Good morning Nottlers, just a thought on refugee/gimmegrant accommodation. Now that there will be the habitual abandonment of tents at Glastonbury, why don’t the government bus the incomers to this free accommodation and set up a couple of burger vans to feed the masses? As a bonus, there’s a surrounding fence – with watchtowers – to protect the poor souls from any crazed right wingers looking for a backlash.
Hysterical woke teacher versus polite, sensible pupils – the trans debate at Rye College
…and is that one hysterical uneducated teacher? Sack her, immediately and others of her ilk.
https://www.conservativewoman.co.uk/hysterical-woke-teacher-versus-polite-sensible-pupils-the-trans-debate-at-rye-college/
By law, we pay through our taxes for the teacher to disseminate doctrine, not to create a generation of liberal (and I use that word in its proper sense) free thinkers. If we do not co-operate with this, they send in the bailiffs and have the power to take away our kids. This is what has become of democracy and we, the electorate, let them get away with it. As Margaret Thatcher once pronounced “there is no alternative”, and the legacy she was most proud of was Tony Blair.
Vote Boris, get Starmer…
She was proud of Blair because he wasn’t the like the reds of her youth. She didn’t see the technocrats and destroyers coming up on the inside lane during her time as Prime Minister.
She was fighting the battles of the 1970s, but the battlefield shifted during the eighties. She did her best.

There are particular fields in which those that stray from the official narrative are instantly shunned as dissidents. Climate change is one of these. Dr Judith Curry, Professor Emeritus and former chair of the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology, has become known as one of the outspoken scientists who doubt the “scientific consensus” on climate change. As a result, she was “academically, pretty much finished off” and “essentially unhirable”. However, this didn’t slow down the bold climatologist. BizNews spoke to Curry about her views on climate change and the impact that human beings have had on the planet. A delightfully fascinating discussion ensued in which Curry explained her objection to the “manufactured consensus of scientists at the request of policy makers” and how far reality really is from the grim picture painted by environmental activists. Curry made sense of recent extreme weather events and indicated that “Earth has survived far bigger insults than what human beings are doing”. An eye-opening interview.
Just a few of many excellent extracts from her video:
“… What we do object to is the idea of a manufactured consensus for political purposes; this is not a natural scientific consensus that has emerged over a long time, it’s a manufactured consensus of scientists at the request of policy makers which has been too narrowly framed, there’s too much politics in it and that’s what I object to and there’s a number of other scientists that object to this as well … and because we’ve been critical of the behaviour of some of the more politically active scientists who are exaggerating the truth and the interests of a good story or political objectives, so that’s what it’s about, it’s not about any fundamental scientific disagreement …”
“People are trying to figure out how they’re going to get people’s attention … there’s a bunch of complicated motives here, people’s world view, their politics, career investment, a certain narrative, wanting to play various political games. If you’re an academic scientist working in the climate area and you want to advance, and get grant money and professional recognition, you would be well served to hue to the alarmist narrative; I mean, the people who are getting professional recognition and being put in charge of big institutes and centres, are all alarmists! Who speak about doom and gloom and exaggerate … it’s very far from doom and gloom.”
“People are being sued, left and right, over bad weather; governments, oil companies and everything because they’re not doing enough. People who think that they can control the climate, you know, its’s just a pipe-dream, even if we went to Net Zero we would barely notice, it would be hard to detect any change in the climate; the climate’s going to do what the climate’s going to do and there’s a lot of inertia in the system … what, if the carbon dioxide that we’ve put in is as important or as bad as some people seem to think, those effects are going to be with us for a very, very long time. Stopping now isn’t going to change that trajectory very much. So we just need to look forward and try to understand what’s happened but thinking that we’re going to control the climate by going to Net Zero very quickly is not good…”
The problem is these folk are bringing a dinner knife to a gunfight. Net zero is nothing to do with ecology or the environment. It is simply the latest way to scam tax out of workers.
Can I also recommend the work of Bjorn Lomborg. Lots of videos on the web by him. All well worth watching.

Thanks, Johnathan.
The problem with Lomberg is that he actually accepts the concept of AGW. He just doesn’t think that policies to ‘combat’ it are affordable or sensible.
Good morning peeps,
Partly cloudy at McPhee Towers and staying that way. Much fresher with the wind in the West, 15℃ going to 20, perhaps 21℃.
Not content with labelling Winston Churchill an imperialist and white supremacist, St. Pauls Cathedral is having a go at Nelson now, claiming that he had a “personal commitment to slavery”.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/06/25/st-pauls-claim-admiral-nelson-personal-commitment-slavery/
Should we be surprised? After all, this is the seat of Bishop Sarah Doolally who told Calvin Robinson that she wouldn’t ordain him because he didn’t agree that the Church of England was institutionally racist.
Nelson is buried in St. Paul’s Cathedral. I suppose they’ll be wanting to dig him up, next.
As is that evil barsteward Wellington. (Don’t know what he did wrong,, but I’m sure there’s plenty.)
The Iron Duke defeated Napoleon Buonaparte, who had developed a beta version of the EU.
I expect they’ll try to put something on his tomb to the effect that he was a slaver.

Good morning all!
Got an itchy insect bite on my writing hand, the left one. Deep joy. It’s summer! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/df1f32c5e05901f08e4ecf6f0059d238f8f11a14e3053b09f693e4eb49d4b285.jpg
Good morning, Sue.
Buy a small tube of Anthisan cream from the Chemist. It is the best remedy for insect bite itch (or, indeed, any itch) I have ever come across.
The drunken butler, Stephano, sang this song about an itch in The Tempest:
The master, the swabber, the boatswain, and I,
The gunner and his mate,
Loved Mall, Meg, and Marian, and Margery,
But none of us cared for Kate.
For she had a tongue with a tang,
Would cry to a sailor “Go hang!”
She loved not the savor of tar nor of pitch,
Yet a tailor might scratch her where’er she did itch.
Then to sea, boys, and let her go hang!
I suppose the best establishments for haute couture in Paris and London and in Savile Row offer a tube of Anthisan to their customers when a tailor or seamstress is not available.
A Newfie dies and goes to Heaven. God sighs, gives him a tummy rub and gets the hoover out.
Is the mass migation truth beginning to be aired in the mainstream? Nick Timothy:
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/06/25/mass-immigrations-advocates-are-finally-admitting-that-it-c/
Here’s the nub of it:
“The Right sees immigration as an economic shortcut, the Left through its obsession with radical diversity and identity politics”.
I’ll leave aside that the Left’s “obsession” is not with radical diversity and identity politics per se, more as the chosen tools to destroy our nation.
And caught in the middle are the indigenous British people who look around them and see their major towns and cities turned into foreign lands when they had every right to expect THEIR parliament to look after THEIR interests and to protect THEIR native land from invasion for an invasion is what it is, both the ‘legal’ and illegal varieties of migration.
““The Right sees immigration as an economic shortcut,”
Not the Right I associate the Right to be right wing. A Lefty Right perhaps.
That portion of the ‘Right’ which sees politics in pure economic terms while paying lip-service to history, culture and general well-being.
The Corporatist Right you mean?
Yes, I suppose that’s it.
I don’t believe the Right see immigration as anything but a bad thing. It suppresses wages, removes the need to invest, makes jobs insecure (as the labour pool is so much bigger), reduces the bargaining position of employees, adds to welfare (because every job a foreigner gets is one a local can’t have), removes the incentive for training and investment by business.
Immigration is a very bad thing for workers. It is, also, a bad thing for businesses as it adds to red tape on hiring someone when you have to detail your reasons for rejecting 80 Indians out of 85 applications.
Yes, we advertise locally but we get applications from all over. One of our number works in Brazil, one Italy. We have a man in Texas who does our promotions.
Good morning all.
The waste of our tax money continues unabated. Here’s the latest TPA weekly bulletin.

As the Telegraph yaps at their heels, the neocons and Zelensky have got real lunacy in mind to fend off the defeat. Let’s have a nuclear war…….

I get the impression that, given the volume of material and the sheer array of threads, that this substack is produced by a bureau rather than just one individual. Nevertheless it does show content that other MSM sources appear not to have / don’t want to show.
Is the fact the he uses his own researchers – if indeed he does – pose an issue?
Good morning to all! Sunny Monday here is West Sussex but cooler which I heartily welcome. The heat has not been good for me at all. But I hope that all are doing well, especially Ann, who is in my thoughts especially. I sincerely hope that all the rest of the NOTTLERs are doing tolerably well, if not superlatively.
Todays wishful thinking, I hesitate to call it a letter, is a wonderful example of some member of the public parroting and, no doubt, unaware of anything else, the MSM propaganda about Putin. It’s pretty pathetic and simply untrue, someone with a poll rating over 80% amongst his people is not sitting on a wobbly throne. So that leaves nothing to comment on other than the gullibility of people who believe that are government is democratic and that our MSM tells the gospel truth.
My heart sank when I saw the letters headline.
So many people believing so many lies, and so divided from one another, each believing the others to be dangerously stupid. No nation in this situation can survive, surely.
You should see the comments in the DM. Unbelievably childish on this matter. And all baying for Putin’s blood. The British public needs to be careful what it is wishing for, and for so vociferously exhibiting these wishes. I have a sneaking feeling that the British Govt is attempting to garner and manipulate support with a view to British conscription at some point with a view to our entry into ‘the war in Ukraine’ when the reserve coffers have been wrung dry.
I feel that the comments have been specifically selected for the purposes of manipulation to manufacture a herd ‘if we all think the same it must be right’ group-think.
Considering that the age of conscription is very young. I think you would find the idea melting away as the young refused to be disciplined, let alone join the army en masse. The days where patriotism for foreign wars is long gone.
And, how are you feeling today? A bit better, I hope.
Thank you, Jonathan yes, I had a long blub on Saturday and feel better in myself today. It is cooler today which is a blessing also.
All those yoof clamouring for the right to vote at 16 go a bit quiet when it’s pointed out that they could then be required to join the front line (currently, it’s 18).
We were amazed that on Sky News this morning the ambassador of Ukraine was being interviewed very sympathetically
and in the middle the interviewer suddenly asked ” When are you going to start talking to Russia?”
First time that we’ve ever seen that comment on the MSM.
I suppose its progress of sorts.
Some Ukies have tried, They were shot as collaborators.
Thanks for the good thoughts Johnathan.
You are very welcome Ann. It’s important that people are thinking of you even when not on line. How is your day going?
OK, my husband is going to the supermarket for me. Tomorrow is the CT scan. I am OK and trying to keep going.
Hope you are feeling better also.
Yes, thanks. The hot weather was truly awful, it makes me feel like I’m suffocating. Most of the time barricaded myself in my bedroom with two air purifiers going.
Good man yourself, Jonathan.
Herts and Ashes have kindly agreed for me to post this pic.

I demand you go through the books on the shelf! What are you reading?!
Not my shelf. I wasn’t invited…sniffs…
The only two Nottlers I have, knowingly, met. Both lovely ladies.
I see why HL was initially not keen on us all viewing it! She’s giving you ‘the look’.
🎵 The look of love…🎵
That’s what I call a glass of wine……..
Brunello di Montalcino. My favourite.
I’m not sure which lady is which.
I’ve only ever met one Nottler. and that was a chap.
Herts on the left.
😘😘
Nice size glasses. Why are they only 1/3 full?
Whaddya mean …. savour the aroma?
They wouldn’t be if I was there;-))
They are the right size glasses and you should only 1/3 full them so you can swirl the wine to develop the nose.
They are only ever one third filled in France, everywhere. The glass will be topped up to the one third level though, frequently. The French do not guzzle their wine like sun-and-wine starved Brits! I have seen them leave an unfinished bottle on the table because they have had sufficient, thank you!
Good to see you both, eventually.
Good morning all
Cooler morning here, and I had a better sleep last night .
No storms , no rain and watering the flowers and shrubs in the garden every night is now a chore.
There was a nest in the honeysuckle against the house wall, and 2 weeks ago a brood of blackbirds fledged , strangely now there seems to be a thrush nesting in the same nest , is this unsual?
Whocka,whocka,whocka…….
I am told the fleets of helicopters leaving Glastonbury are like a scene from Apocalypse Now but at least the event with strictly controlled ticket numbers that require passport photos on the tickets to enter and steel border walls that Texas would envy to keep the riff-raff out while multimilllionaires on stage that live in gated compounds with armed security call for “Open Borders” and “Net Zero” can’t be accused of Hypocrisy…………
Oh Wait……
Meanwhile I await coverage of the Just Stop Oil protest at Glasto against the diesel gennies and all the single use tents
What do you mean “They were all in the audience”
Tossers,all of them
Indeed. The stench of hypocrisy must be even stronger than the portable loos at Glastonbury! Diversity, net zero and no borders for thee, sea of white faces, single use tents and high fences keeping the poor out for me.
They are too dim to see what’s coming down the line.
James Delingpole is advertising this, which sounds fun though:

Great move from a moped rider…I would have taken it further away though, just to be sure they couldn’t retrieve it!
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12233665/Motorcyclist-drives-Just-Stop-Oil-banner-tossing-ground.html
But WHY does the DM descrIbe it as “shocking”?????
Be fair Bill, they only have a very limited range of words to choose from!
Maybe they think he was littering.
Because they want us to be shocked… the DM is not on the side of the public. It supports the narrative. Thus the motorcyclist must be condemned. The DM hunts with the hounds and runs with the hare, depending on the mood of its political masters.
I always thought the DM was anti-hunting.
Well done matey.
Why are they calling it a Moped it’s a Vespa scooter.
Notice how the brain-dead twats all jump out of the way when that scooter doesn’t stop?
Maybe more motorists should try that tactic on the morons.
A couple of weeks ago there was some footage of one of the prats walking around with a huge piece of tarmac glued to his hand.
Off their rockers?
I hope i have the guts to do that of i am caught by these lunatics. I suspect i wont though because my job requires me to be whiter than white
Err… I thought we all had to be black these days.
Lol!!!
Ouch!

Nicola Sturgeon isn’t aging well, is she.
No, but she is taking it on the chins.
… and up the arse.
I thought it was Elton for a mo.
But that’s only a little bit funny.
She should walk rather than use the battle
axebus. That is wonderful. It made me laugh out loud.
Dame Hilda Bracket?
I’m not in the slightest bit bothered that any ‘sleb’ might give Sunak a verbal kicking but there will be plenty of wry smiles around the country to hear Ben Elton, always a nasty piece of work, accusing others of narcissism. Here’s a man who thrived on self-promotion of the ugliest kind.
Elton also demonstrates forgetfulness. He says “he [Sunak] was a part of a 13-year cycle which has got us to this point”. Sunak is a late arrival on the scene. He became an MP in 2015 and took up a senior post, Chief Secretary to the Treasury, when Bonjo became PM. The roots of our social and economic crises lie in the Blair years – the faux-Tories simply didn’t have the courage to deal with the problems. I doubt Elton would ever speak out against the immigration crisis which will lead to the collapse of UK (well, English) society very soon.
And Mr Bristow should get his head out of his arse. It’s not just the likes of Elton who are furious about the state of affairs in the country
https://twitter.com/MigrationWatch/status/1672943472196591617
The message is clear , and what can we do ?
And they outbreed us 5:1. Why? Welfare.
That the BBC is desperately Left wing is beside the point. That Elton is to is also irrelevant. The problem is both man and organisation refuse to look at the reality of their own big state, Left wing ideologies as responsible for the chaos we are in now.
Ask them if they would abolish climate change act (and the massive subsidy for wind mills) to reduce energy bills. Both will say no – the BBC because it’s pensions are heavily invested in unreliables (a bit clever that. Put into law that you don’t have to present both sides, have the broadcaster promote the lie and collude with the political class to push ever more cash into ‘green’ along the way for everyone’s benefit – except the sap forced to pay for it, the tax payer)
Both wanted to remain chained to the EU, the biggest drag on our economy going.
Both want more state.
Both want higher taxes – for other people.
Where does the hypocrisy end? Neither are honest, neither will explain their positions (because they undermine their own arguments). To call someone else mendacious and vain when it is the epitome of his own position is hilarious.
Belated good morning or not so good 🤔
I managed to get my protest into WGC council about their proposal to fly tip in a local field for 5 years until they are able to build some polo pitches.
Yes Polo Pitches. Opposite side of the road to Brocket Hall !! There’s no demand for it of course but it’s just a way of making money while they fill the area with rubbish. And make a small fortune.
I often took our Lab for a walk in the adjacent area and through the grounds of Brocket. There is an old well worn and deep cattle track from higher ground down to the River Lea.
Although the gout is easing off, the medication is giving me a lot of Gyp, after three days the side effects are quite daunting. So much so I have had to stop taking them.
Morning Eddy. The cure for gout is unfortunately to lay off the liquor!
A lot of people suggest this is the principle cause, but i was told by the doctor I saw, it’s one of the problems, but a popular misconception as there are several reasons people can be troubled with gout. 🤗 fingers crossed eh 🙄
Epsom salt baths are key. Use a daily dose of cider vinegar in water to descale the build up of uric acid which causes the gout, and a generous handful of epsom salts and a longish-soak regularly to draw the dissolved uric acid out of the body (modified from the cider vinegar diet, which worked for me when the doctor claimed i had arthritis)(i don’t and probably didn’t).
Do you drink the vinegar or add it to the foot bath?
Drink the vinegar in a cup of hot water. I will try and look the book out.
Morning Eddy. The cure for gout is unfortunately to lay off the liquor!
As I said yesterday, Colchicine is a pretty nasty poison that kills people. I’m not surprised you are having an adverse reaction to it. But you are also right that the booze story is a myth.
Have you investigated Allopurinol?
…and drink plenty of water.
Good thing you don’t suffer from gout, Pip! :o)
No Sos I have another appointment this Friday I’ll see what happens.
It’s already improved considerably.
Thanks for all Nottlers concern.
I wouldn’t recommend it…..gout.
It made me feel very old and very uncomfortable.
Steer clear of mackerel and liver. Which you’ve probably already been told.
The Warqueen’s polo team shut down a few months back as the site was sold to a bunch of developers who just kept upping their offer.
When asked how they could afford it they simply said ‘we make our money back from the government compulsory purchase for social housing’.
There is always a hidden adgenda when it comes to housing development. Usually lots of bungs happen in the appropriate directions.
The mp for Welwyn and Hatfield is Grant Shapps. When he was housing minister the amount of new housing in his constituency was noticeable.
Just sayin’. 🤔

They have tried this with me several times. It is one of the reasons I will not use Amazon. Other reason is their censoring books and no-platforming customers they don’t like. Now a days I go to Amazon to look at prices of items then go elsewhere to buy. Amazon is part of the Woke Blob.
Amazon enrolled customers in Prime without consent, made it hard to cancel, FTC says in lawsuit
https://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/amazon-enrolled-customers-prime-without-consent-made-hard-cancel-ftc-says-lawsuit
They certainly did. A few years ago I found I had joined Prime inadvertantly when the 7.99 charge appeared on my credit card. There still at it. If you buy anything you have to read what’s on your screen carefully before you see, in very small font, ‘proceed without Prime membership’.
I find that apart from books, for which my favorite online source is Abe Books https://www.abebooks.co.uk/books. You can find most items on eBay. I especially like that because if you pay via PayPal you do get your money back if your item does not arrive or you have a valid complaint about it. PayPal has never done me wrong and I back them 100%. Amazon, on the other hand, are a bunch of sharks.
Abebooks is now owned by Amazon.
😒 Then I will have to go elsewhere.
Sorry to say it has been under Amazon since 2008.
That Tees me off because they certainly don’t make it clear. It’s a well hidden fact.
The delivery charges are interesting.
The circle with the dot is always a charge for fast delivery. You have to manually change to free delivery (I don’t order stuff in a panic, so I can wait 3 – 5 days).

Amazon actually refused to supply a copy of The Bell Curve, even though they had it listed at the time. Though they didn’t offer any reason, it’s suposedly waycist. Made me determined to acquire a copy and my local Waterstones store ordered it for me. When I went to collect, I was served by a young black girl who told me that it has to be printed to order so she was intrigrued and had asked a colleague what it’s about. She was engaged by the subject matter – class and intelligence – and if she was offended, she hid it very well!
Abebooks (Advanced Book Exchange) is an excellent resource for finding books (mainly second-hand) online. I searched for “The Bell Curve” and this selection appeared:
https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?sts=t&cm_sp=SearchF-_-home-_-Results&tn=The%20Bell%20Curve
Is the one you sought any of these?
Yes! This one.

I cancelled my prime membership quite easily. I wanted it to fall on the first of the month, not the middle.
I think I’ve got my monies worth from it.
I put a question to Microsoft’s new AI driven Bing interface.

Oh the Glastonbury mess, the 200,000 green climate warriors and oil protestors , the oddities of middle class society and 500 BBC and ITV political wastrels …and all those who can afford to throw £350 +away for a debauched tented weekend listening to stuff projected on screens
What a blooming state to leave green fields in , words fail me .
Glastonbury has lost it’s small time hippy charm .
Ah, but we must read below to learn our lesson. Wonderful, selfless volunteers will stay behind and pick up the rubbish, with anything useful being sold on or given to charity. All the costs of the clear-up are covered by the ticket prices. We are also reminded that after the coronation, ‘weird flag shaggers’ left London in a bit of a mess and clearing up that was a cost to the taxpayers. In other words, we should STFU.
They really are quite sensitive about it…
That’d be because hypocrisy cannot stand to look in a mirror.
I saw it last night because SWMBO wanted to see Reg Dwight’s last concert. My thought: Thank God I’ve been immune to mass formation all my life.
As I think was said on here last year – the eco generation, saving the planet one discarded tent at a time.
The Government should realise by now that holding an event like Glastonbury leaves a site conforming to all the requirements it has established for housing immigrants – there’s even a security fence!
We were discussing that this morning; before the photos appeared, we knew exactly what to expect.
It’s like the school pupils round here; full of greenery wokery cant, but leave a trail of plastic and paper in their wake.
Champaign? I wonder what that tastes like.
With Wimbledon coming up soon I happened upon this comment in a DT article about former Wimbledon players which I thought was amusing:
Chris Evert : A wonderful player. She first married English tennis player John Lloyd, then later American Olympic skier Andy Mill and then Aussie golfer Greg Norman. I just hope she can marry a Frenchman one day and, if she does, will she be the first to complete a marital grand slam?
They certainly don’t practice what they preach.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12233419/Volunteers-work-great-Glastonbury-clean-sea-rubbish-left-behind.html
I don’t understand how people can think that’s acceptable. It’s rubbish. You’ve created it, take it with you. These spoiled people are genuinely hypocritical.
Beneath one of the photographs of the debris is this;
“The field will be cleaned inch-by-inch over the next few hours so it can be grazed by cows once again”
Cows? And there’s me thinking that removing cows was part of the final solution.
I can’t understand the mentality of people who leave rubbish behind like that. Why don’t they clear up their own mess, put it in the bins provided or better take it home. All those tents that could be used again.
Quite.
Arseholes ‘r us
The picking around the edges lunacy continues. A cut here, a cut there and soon there will be little left; the death of a thousand cuts.
Governments are infested with WEF/NWO thinking: Irish demanding a massive cull of cows; the Germans demanding the eradication of meat eating, intake to be reduced to a mere few grams if the people are lucky; Dutch compulsory purchasing farms and closing them down and here…
…Sunak and Hunt talk as if a better future beckons re inflation etc. all the while enticing farmers to retire by offering cash incentives.
https://twitter.com/DVATW/status/1673292453988687873
Afternoon, Korky.
Are the Irish demanding a cull of their cows so that all Irish male citizens may walk around, in the traditional manner, with a pig under their arm?
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6adb4b0fd74502146f508a7827b061883bff04f2d3eb4065b78651f127dd627c.jpg Irishman walked into a pub with a pig under his arm.
“Where’d you get him”, asked the barman.
“I won him in a raffle”, said the pig.
Afternoon, Grizz. 😊
I think that pigs are on the government’s menu too, so to speak. A world without bacon, sizzling butcher’s sausages and pork pies will on the road to becoming a gastronomic wilderness.

That ‘far right party’ wouldn’t perhaps not believe in net zero, high taxes, removing illegal immigrants, defending borders, small government and low taxes would it? You know, the things everyone wants?
Yeah, as I suspected, they’re not ‘Far right!’ t all. They’re just what most people want and thus are only far right if you consider Lenin to be a centrist.
Wikipedia has a lot to answer for.
Having read up about them, we wouldn’t define AfD as “far right”
We should not pretend that the murder of Stephen Lawrence was not shocking and that the Met handled it badly. However, we are entitled to ask why this case so preoccupies some in the media and the establishment beyond. Many murders go unsolved or unpunished, either through malpractice, incompetence or a simple lack of evidence. Are the victims of those acts less worthy? And will the Lawrence campaigners stand up for the black victims of black murderers?
Stephen Lawrence: BBC names new suspect in UK’s most notorious racist murder
I note every time this comes up on the tv and radio they call it a racist murder, maybe it was, but we hear of people getting stabbed and chopped up virtually on a weekly bases nowadays, they never call these racists murders, for some reason.
Was it ever proved that they targeted him because he was black, and that it wasn’t just a gang fight? I took the story at face value when it came out, but I was a lot more trusting in those days.
Absolutely.
It was originally described as a gang fight and Never as a solitary race attack. That’s been exaggerated out of all proportion. With obvious results.
Drugs? Defending their manors?
I think Lawrence was aspiring to something; doctor, lawyer, architect. Something professional, natch.
Call me a cynic, but isn’t “he was aspiring to be a doctor” on the same level as “lovely boy, very quiet and respectful”?
I felt that, too, that it would twang the nations’s heart strings if he were viewed to be involved in medicine. Wasn’t he actually a drug dealer of some sort?
No idea! It is a long time ago now.
Nothing could have been worse than the premeditated vile and notorious racist murder of Lee Rigby.
PC Keith Blakelock should not be forgotten.
There’s a lot of appalling murders about.
He’s always in my mind for that reason Obs. That slime bag who murdered him a was let off the hook because the ‘They’ new it was cause more riots.
If Lawrence had been killed by a black gang, we would have long ago heard the last of it.

Most of my few friends turned out to be slaves. All I have said to them is that if you wore a mask and/or had the jab/s. Then you are not as independent minded as you thought you were. I suggested they needed to revue their position on so many things.. Then followed all their reasons why they had to do it that I totally rejected. I had to put up with so many people and their nasty comments because I refused to comply. People are such a disappointment.
I share your disappointment.
Otherwise friendly neighbours crossing the street because we were unmasked and declaredly unvaccinated. The sight of otherwise sensible neighbours standing masked outside their houses clattering pots and pans and displaying rainbows in front windows.
Worst of all a local builder and friend imploring us to take the jab and then found dead in his garage. Autopsy gave instant death from an aortic
aneurysm.
So few stood up to the government.
There were three or four people outside the family I tried to dissuade. They all succumbed eventually. One, my hairdresser, because her elderly clients felt more comfortable if she was vaccinated; two, my pilates lady who needed to travel to Germany for an operation on her jaw – it was not successful; three, a dog walker who said her children in London would not visit her unless she got the jab – I expect they were concerned about her being infected by them. In cases one and three it makes you wonder what people think vaccinations are for, why is their thinking so skewed? 91% of people in our area got the jab.
Happy birthday, Corim! I’ve been in and out and saw it was your birthday (yesterday?) – hope you had a lovely day and many happy returns.
Many thanks. I confess I lost track of comments and apologise for any I may have missed. I tend to make my own comments late evening for purely personal reasons but attempt to read everything and uptick a lot before doing so.
A belated happy birthday, corrim. Hope it was a good one.
Many thanks Conners. I had a pleasant day with Carol and we enjoyed a roast dinner locally and a couple of bottles of sparking wine well into the evening in our garden.
That sounds delightful.

I’ve been playing around with some of the latest AI offerings on the internet and what we would all like to know is what are the implications for the future. The power that Artificial Intelligence provides to humans is incredible and it has already confirmed my suspicions that unsolicited treatments that I have undergone under the NHS could have been safer if medical professionals had been able to seek alternative courses of action through the use of a natural language interface like ChatGPT.
This video about the future of AI suggests that treatment errors by medical professionals could potentially be reduced significantly by using natural language interfaces. On the other hand AI is known to have created solutions to problems that are unsubstantiated through the current requirement to undertake clinical trials:
https://youtu.be/zpRM25pUD8w
Folk seem terrified of AI but imagine a nanny who never gets tired, with the strength of ten men. Someone to help blind people at home. Someone to help the infirm and alarm if there’s a problem.
Imagine if traffic were controlled by AI – no more waiting for cars at a junction, one would automatically be slowed to let another out. No more tail gating, no more speeding – but everyone would move faster.
And, crucially, no government. No ego driven, spoiled, Left wing stupidity. Lower taxes, vast efficiency improvements. Imagine drones sent out to the squawking gimmigrants and them towed back to France as they are simply never, ever get there. No more corruption or fraud, no more statism.
It all goes wrong and sideways and chaos ensues and we have war then the machines will win – humankind is a venal, spoiled, stupid, bitter, egotistical, arrogant and cruel species.
The problem with AI is that you have to be an expert in your field to identify that an answer to your question is possibly fake. AI driven applications have to be trained on something and there’s the rub.
Early AI implementations were allowed to be free thinking and develop goals of their own during training resulting in them developing bad habits. It was soon recognised by AI protagonists that their powerful tools needed taming before being marketed as commercially available products.
As a result, competing businesses and governments may still set opposing goals for their AI tools to implement which could well result in the elimination of the opposing entities – this is where things may get out of control.
Elon Musk has implemented a Tesla AI robot nurse but has deliberately reduced its strength so as not to kill him. However that means that when he is bed bound the nurse will be unable to lift him out of bed!
Hmm.
One line of a configuration file to be changed to get a killer nurse?

210;Isaac Azimov in his book, I Robot, taught the first law of robotics, “Harm No Human.“
Doctors have to swear an oath to that effect as well but a cardiologist who was recently assigned to train my granddaughter as part of her medical degree told her that she wouldn’t learn much from following him around and that she would be better off clerking a new admission.
Whatever kind of intelligence we use in this life making mistakes and seeing others making mistakes will always be the best way of learning and that applies to robots as well.
AI – Mad, Bad and Dangerous to know
Mind you, I was trained on AI 17 – an airborne radar and AI stood for Airborne Interception. Totally different.
Same goes for HI (Human Intelligence).
Julian Sands: body found in California mountains where actor disappeared. 26 June 2023.
Hikers have found human remains in a southern California mountain area where the British actor Julian Sands disappeared five months ago, authorities said.
The body was discovered at about 10am on Saturday in wilderness near Mount Baldy in the San Gabriel mountains and was transported to the coroner’s office for identification next week, the San Bernardino county sheriff’s department said in a statement.
For those few people who knew or cared about Sands disappearance five months ago. He was an inveterate hill walker and mountaineer and to such, death in the mountains, is no bad ending.

Some one needs to clear all that excrement from our beaches.
Where is a Winston when we need one ?
The white, supremacist war-monger, you mean?
Yes, him. The Greatest Briton who ever lived.
Every single one of these invaders should be driven into the sea – before it is too late.
Oh yes that’s him. Winnie winner.
That could equally well be labelled
“My Security when I’m partying with other white Liberals”

“Security for Poor People”
I’ve some slabs of stone to get rid of. The only problem is that they are up the “garden” and need to be brought down to the yard. I’ve just manhandled the first one down the steps and along the narrow passage at the back of the house.
21″ x 24″ x 6¼”
I’ve one the same size and the third is a bit smaller.
Hopefully they will sell on E-bay.
Can’t they be incorporated into the Great Wall of Bonsall?
They could be, but I have enough random stone to use for it.
When Bob says manhandled, he means the entire pile were moved one handed, in one go.
Nah. Just one at a time.
Still got t’other two to shift.

Packing. Why does one always bring too many clothes?
Insecurity. In your dreams you are afraid that you are walking around the supermarket naked. Best cure…holiday in Germany.
I can pack my stuff in under an hour in to 2 rucksacks – one for clothes, one for toiletries. Junior can do similar in about 2 hours because he’s 8.
The Warqueen, at the age of 46 can’t seem to pack in less than 48 hours nor use less than 3 big bags. A bag so big Mongo has sat in it.
You let your wife do the packing?
To prepare for any and every eventuality. It may be too hot, it may be too cold. It may, heaven forbid, rain all the time. I may want to wear this little number today, ooooh, where is it? I know I will feel really comfortable in that, it’s just right for today, where is it? Where is it? Oh, it’s back at home in the wardrobe. That has completely put me out for the day, or at least the next 15 minutes…..
I did feel VERY hot taking the two anoraks down to the car!! In fact we needed them in Valence – there was a downpour – and probably in Calais on Wednesday and Thursday morning!
You see! That’s exactly what I mean!
And then, when we are away, I sometimes play a little game of seeing how few of these clothes I have brought with me I can get away with wearing so that I don’t have to wash them all when I return – I can put them away clean and unworn!
Safe journey home, it is a long trek.
I know what you mean!
I take far too much with me when I’m off in the van!
Just in case.
or in my case just in holdall
My you must have a big holdall to fit your case in…
as the name suggests Tine it holds all :o)
The classist lunacy of Net Zero. Spiked 26 June 2023.
Trevor Neilson says JSO’s irritating behaviour might put people off from ‘join[ing] the movement’. Here’s hoping. For it is ‘the movement’, not its most grating ambassadors, that is the true problem. Net Zero has been institutionalised by governments across the West. They’ve sworn to achieve the holy state of carbon neutrality by 2050 or 2040. And the impact of their eco-adoration on the lives of working-class people has been disastrous. The Net Zero drive is causing the loss of farming jobs, dents in the pay packets of truckers, rising energy bills, rising fuel costs, the end of cheap flights. As Ross Clark says, the ‘uncosted fantasy’ of severe carbon reduction will leave us ‘poorer, colder and hungrier’. Well, not all of us. Mr Neilson will be okay. And Edred and Tilly.
Net Zero is the Holy Grail of the Twenty First Century. The Elites in pursuit of the unattainable. The Search for Eldorado and Shangri La. The Fountain of Youth where all will be made perfect. They were myths and so is Net Zero.
https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/06/26/the-classist-lunacy-of-net-zero/
Seeing the personalities pushing Net Zero it cannot be anything other than a scam. An arrangement to rob the poor and give to the rich with a bit of genocide on the way to please the eugenicists. What’s not to like if you are, or you think you are, one of the elite who will survive and benefit from the scam?
Bearing in mind my last sentence, where does the boundary between the elites, or the will haves, and the expendables lay? Without a doubt the leading politicos believe that their future is secure but these are the people visibly doing the damage to economies and people’s lives. Will they be safe? They are the useful idiots that were brainwashed and corrupted early on and useful idiots’ usefulness has a habit of ending abruptly.
Responsibility for the scam will have diffused over many people in positions of authority and someone will have to be thrown to the wolves and take the brunt of the people’s dissatisfaction when the excrement hits the fan, as it surely will when people are cold and hungry.
Saying sorry and/or I was following orders won’t cut it.
Always my rebuttal:
Climate Change and You
The climate ‘science’ is wrong. CO2 being 0.04% of the atmosphere is a cause for good, as it is essential for plant life.
The atmosphere is 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen. The remaining 1% are various trace elements of which CO2 is but a small part.
The greatest cause of any change in the Earth’s climate, is due to the cyclical nature of the Sun’s phases, which may lead to vast differences between ice ages and continual heatwaves
Check https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/2023/03/04/challenging-net-zero-with-science/
Please feel free to copy and paste this anywhere appropriate.
How do we get this into government’s thick dunderheads?
They don’t care. CO2 cut is not the ultimate aim, buggeration of the population is, and since enough people seem to believe the CO2 bollux, that’s a convenient way to persuade everybody to self-extinguish.

That move away from secular life and towards islam swept across the whole muslim world in the 80s. Funded by the Saudis? Or the CIA perhaps?
It was challenged in Algeria by the ruling party, leading to what the western press called a “civil war” – they definitely blamed the government, not the poor little islamists.

Minimum 12 month period before repossession if you miss mortgage payments.
I don’t think this is going to save many people unless they win the lottery. Mortgage payments add up pretty quickly.
If the banks are moving at lighting speed to re-possess, I suppose it given people a bit of breathing space.
Very nasty all round.
Just a PR stunt really.
Why does it never occur to statists to address the cause of the problem? Why do they never think hmm.. things are getting expensive. Perhaps that corporation tax hike, national insurance tax hike, crippling energy taxes, high fuel taxes and the continued waste of public money on nonsense are the problem?
I understand they cannot accept that they are to blame, but it’s bloody obvious that they are the root cause. The state continues to pretend black is white.
I think Caveat Emptor applies here, and Sauve Qui Peut.
Mortgage payments are going to seem like a walk in the park when food shortages caused by Net Zero policies across Europe kick in.
The lizard elites are about to give us something real to cry about.
Here’s a thought. What if the Glastonbury crowd wasn’t an homogenous bunch of hypocritical, planet-saving, virtue-signalling litter louts. Perhaps only some of them were. Others might well have been your everyday slob who couldn’t give a damn about the environment, never preaches about it and has always left a trail of litter in their wake. Some might be genuine planet-saving virtue-signallers who did endeavour to minimise their environmental impact, living by the ethos they so sanctimoniously preach to the rest of us. Then there’s a fourth group who are inherently neat and tidy, don’t like to see rubbish strewn about, but don’t pretend they’re saving the planet or go about their daily lives telling the rest of us how bad we are and how saintly they are. I have no idea how that Glastonbury assemblage divides into the four groups I’ve identified, but it seems a bit much to castigate the whole lot of them when only an unknown percentage, not all of them hypocrites, are responsible for the mess left behind for others to clear up.
Why miss a mass castigation, Stig?? You know NoTTLers…{:¬))

I haven’t read or looked at a single thing about Glastonbury. I prefer its connection to the Arthurian legends.
You have missed nothing. An appalling waste of time and money – though, for once, none of mine.
How’s tricks??
Tricks got six months for soliciting.
Closest I’ve been is atop Glastonbury Tor but it has never crossed my mind to a) wan to. or b) actually attend, their stupid festival.
Were I there my refuge would be the Abbot’s Kitchen. Fabulous construction.
Talking of Arthurian legends, here are a couple of groaners, just for you, Lottie!
What was King Arthur’s pet cow called? Sir Loin
What was King Arthur’s tax man called? Sir Charge
Why couldn’t anyone pull the sword out of the stone, except King Arthur? They did not have Arthurization….
Hope that brought a smile to y’all
😊It brought a huge smile, thanks, Jill.👍🏻
especially the bit about King Arthur’s tranny ‘cow’.😂
“… an homogenous bunch of hypocritical, planet-saving, virtue-signalling litter louts.”
Yes, Stig, they are indeed an horrible lot!😉
Looking at the sheer volume and “quality” of the litter, tents and the like, it suggests that the yobs far outnumber the rest.

I’m not a supporter of violence but when Tatchell was knocked out by Mugabe’s bodyguards I did smile!
This guy is a creep, a limelight hog, that seems to be willing to jump on any bandwagon that can be loosely defined as gay. He even defends the transgender mutilation of children.
Yes he’s a vile creature who should have been deported back to his native Australia forty years ago!
Slightly off topic bit here is the email o received from Plod on Friday, exactly four weeks minus one day from when my bike from when my bike got nicked:
“ I reviewed CCTV and I have managed to obtain images of the suspects. I have requested these be circulated to local officers in BTP and the Met police. This crime is now closed and shall be reopened if any names are provided for one or both of the suspects.”
I noticed today’s Terriblegraph also had an item on how Plod has given up on fighting proper crime.
We (the parish council) have received a questionnaire from the P&CC about community policing. I’m going to fill in the online form as a householder and it will be universally negative. How often do you see your community police person? Never. Do you trust the police? You’re ‘avin’ a giraffe. Do they respond to your concerns? Chance would be a fine thing!
I don’t want to spoil my day and listen to anything that vile POS has to say.

A little but he’s recovering nicely now;-)
How are you feeling, now?
Bluntly- very apprehensive. But others are going through it also.
Keep going, keep believing, keep your pecker up. And have a nice wine…
Way ahead of you re wine;-)
or three… :o)
Almost makes you envy the French- a bidet would have saved a trip.
You actually have loo rolls in packs that can be carried? They seem to come I. 24 and 36 packs over here which is enough to wipe the backsides of an ommigrant family for life.
This in a 24 pack and it came with handles! He was rather pleased with himself;-)
Lotl,
Did you manage to get some extra pain relief, and were the links I provided useful?
I have plenty of pain killers but after this afternoon’s dose, I am leaving off until after the scan tomorrow. Dear husband got me 2 packs of buffered paracetamol and I shall take that over night if needed and take some with me to the hospital.
The oncologist next week will no doubt come out with some other hideous regime.
You are a brave girl, and must be exhausted , I really feel for you , and hope you both feel support from all the Nottlers . You have had a very bad run of the worst luck possible .
How come this has flown under people’s radar?

Expect 20,000 women to claim their arses pinched at Glasto. 50,000 queers complaining they were too drugged up to enjoy being buggered. 130,000 saying they were bored and wished they hadn’t begged mummy to buy their tickets.

Elton shuts up at last. Let’s all blow out that candle !
Is the last sentence a Euphemism?
I don’t know. Is that some sort of instrument?
Only if you try to get in touch and you phone him…errm ?
Only if you try to get in touch and you phone him…errm ?
It’ll take a big puff to do that.
Meh, he’ll still be hanging round the royals. Every bluddy event they go to seems to have Elton John, Richard Attenborough and Judi Dench there!
Dickie Attenborough has been dead for nine years. Do they drag out his corpse?
Whatever. They all look the same. There is still one of them hanging around. I really don’t care which one it is!
To worship it?
Agreed but you mean David Attenborough not his actor brother who regrettably pre-deceased the fossil itself.
I only realised that there was more than one of them about ten years ago.
And join the yellow brick road to say we’re still standing, but it’s your song, so don’t let the sun go down.
I could never stand Elton John and his effing candle rubbish and the greasing up to Royalty on the death of Diana.
Billy Joel is a far better writer, singer and pianist than Elton, always has been and always will be.
It seems that “Ran through a cornfield” has to be updated.

None of them believed that it was dangerous. But they ruined other people’s lives.
Even now, I can’t shake off the state of mind induced by the lockdowns. I was thinking about doing evening classes recently, but I don’t want to pay for a course that will then be cancelled during the flu season. Never used to have to factor that into winter plans.
Was it Halloween?
Lots of parties if Guido is to be believed!
Just back from a day in Inverness, took some of Barbara’s clothes to the PDSA shop and cleared 2 Lidls shops out of Thin Cut marmalade (that’ll last me another year). 15 pack of eggs up from £1.19 to £2.79, robbing bastards. 2 big foreign guys, either Polish or Romanian were standing chatting next to a tray of cherries and eating them – reported them to the manager who threw them out – they were not pleased.
A very satisfactory day!
Good for you, Spikey! I can picture the scene! A trolley full of marmalade and eggs doing your civic duty! 😘
Didn’t buy the eggs Sue as Tescos were cheaper, got a trolley full of Oaties which have gone up 25% since I last bought them 😘
That’s why I loved shopping with you!😘 The greenhouse is still not installed!
Crikey get a grip lass the summer’s nearly over 😘
Well, we’ve been a bit busy to actually level the site…..🙄
Phew!
2nd, smaller slab of sandstone now in the yard.
18″ x 21″ x 6¼” and weighing a mere 170lb instead of the 220lb of the first.
The 3rd slab, another 220 pounder, is going to be harder to move as it’s still lying flat and will need to be upended before I shift it.
And it’s not just the strength needed, the knack of how to apply that strength that is probably more important.

They must weigh a ton.
You should have tried to split them down the middle Bob, club Hammer and 3 inch bolster.
I want to sell them as they are.
Just got the 3rd slab down, about ½” thicker than the first one, so about 245lb.
Now got 4 lintels to get down, photographed and put up for sale!
Stone lintels as well ?
Yep.
All picked up from the same old Victorian chapel in Derby 31 years ago.
Silly question asked far too late, but given that it’s comfortably 110kg how are you lifting that thing?
I can deadlift 180 and that’s my limit. With a nice bar, a back brace, gloves and lots of handholds. That’s a block on it’s side, with no easy grips!
There is the secret. I did NOT lift them.
The first two were already on their ends propped against the end of the Folly so it was a case of balancing them of their sides and applying enough force to push them over onto the next side, effectively rolling them down the steps and along the narrow passage at the back of the house.
Once on the level, using a couple of short lengths of 1½” timber as a fulcrum under each side in turn greatly reduced the amount of force I had to apply.
It’s all down to technique!
Very likely. Bob might have to use two hands!
A local limestone?
No, they’re sandstone that I picked up from a Victorian chapel in Derby that was being altered into offices.

Hello Tom , have you made any headway re moving back to Norfolk?
Seems like I can’t afford £1208 per week. though they’re saying go to your local council to get help. I’ve done all that and can’t see them financing to that level, in what is effectively private medicine.
Similar price to Mother’s place. Luxury hotel it isn’t.
A room in a hotel would only cost £60 a night – 420 a week. Where is the other £800 costs coming from?
Private Medicine
Subsidising council-funded folk, plus lots of staff, many with nurse training. Four meals a day. Heating screwed right up high.
Wish you weren’t here.
Centuries of conflict, of fighting for rights, freedoms and protections from the state and it overturns them all for diversity.
How about we practice some diversity of our own and decide we are sick of obeying these fools and start taking back our country? There aren’t enough police officers to stop us.

The surrender of Britain’s borders will lead to a Brexit-style revolt
The tax burden is ludicrously high, and our public services appalling. To see our money wasted on the migrant industry is gut-wrenching
To continue supporting these political, morally illegal importers is treacherously gut wrenching.
Also gut wrenching is, the UK tax payers have to pay for the 24/7/365 personal armed protection of the afore mentioned.
Interesting eh?
The fact is that the five years of Labour government saw a deterioration in virtually every aspect of the lives of working people:
HOUSING: By 1978 fewer council houses were being built than in any year since the end of the Second World War.
HEALTH: The first two years of Labour government saw the loss of 25,000 hospital beds.
EDUCATION: Shirley Williams herself was responsible for making cuts in schools and colleges that put large numbers of teachers on the dole for the first time in living memory.
PRICES: doubled between 1974 and 1979. Electricity, gas, postal charges and bus and rail fares led the way as the government withdrew subsidies to nationalised industries. Food prices soared as food subsidies were taken away.
JOBS: During the first three years jobs disappeared at the rate of a thousand a day. Since then the increase in unemployment has been disguised by schemes such as Job Creation – which created mostly short-term jobs anyway. Factory closures were still being announced in the weeks before the election.
WAGES: Robert Sheldon, then financial secretary to the Treasury, told the House of Commons on 30 January 1979 that a family of four on average earnings were £2.65 worse off in real terms than in 1974, and their living standards were lower than in 1972. The incomes of more than 200,000 workers with children are below the social security poverty line.
INEQUALITY between the rich and the rest remained as great as ever. As Professor Peter Townsend has noted: ‘Eleven years of Labour government in the last 15 has not resulted in greater equality.’ Indeed, in the first two years under Labour, the share of the nation’s wealth held by the richest 5 per cent of the population rose from 43.1 per cent to 46.2 – while that the bottom 50 per cent fell from 7.1 per cent to 5.6.
No wonder the figures show that an increased number of the rich voted Labour, while growing numbers of workers moved away!
These are not just figures on paper, they are the very framework of people’s lives – lives that have become increasingly cramped and restricted.
Former Labour ministers and TV pundits complain about the rubbish in the streets during the election, but they generally ignored things of greater importance to the people living in those streets – the destruction of people’s lives by unemployment, the chronically sick sent home as hospital wards are closed, the months of pain while waiting for an operation, the nursery schools that never opened and the old people’s homes that shut down, the worker on £40 a week who finds his rates have doubled, the car-worker who can no longer afford a third-hand mini, the tenant who has abandoned hope of the council doing repairs.
Labour today are a new improved version of Labour in the 70s. Now they destroy society as well as destroying the economy!
The Conservatives have had a damned good try at it too.
Going to the pub tonight, Mola? Have a pint for my husband and a half for me- Guinness, natch!
Natch, Ann.
The BBC has announced that it is to produce new adaptations of Enid Blyton’s Famous Five. My immediate reaction was that it could be seen as quite brave, given that the books are ‘cancelled’ in some libraries and schools, but then I heard that they will be ‘new imaginings for a progressive audience’.
The mind boggles. Perhaps George will be an out-and-out lesbian, dressed in flamboyant rainbow outfits and bringing her casual ‘partners’ along, Anne will be a bottle-blonde airhead Essex girl with a coke habit, Julian, though he won’t be played by him, will be amazingly like Laurence Fox because Fox is hated by the ‘progressives’ and must be cancelled publicly by being sent up, and Dick will be a paraplegic, injured after bombing off the rocks below Kirrin Castle after a magic mushroom party at which he tried to shag Anne. Timmy will be a rescue dog with several neuroses and a worrying habit – of sheep, that is.
What fun it will be!
And just to show that they have decolonised numbers, there will be six of them
Can you imagine what they’ll make of Uncle Quentin?😱
The Comic Strip’s “Five Go Mad in Dorset” send-up did that, some 30 years ago. I had it on video, and it was great fun. UQ was definitely portrayed as ehm, a bit odd at the time. Maybe if I rummage around…
Well, he was rather a strange character! By the way, I loved the photo of you at Philips house! It’s so nice to picture the people we chat to!
Never saw it, as I thought the Lass herself had vetoed it.
May we see it now?
Scroll down the page.
Go back to about 9 o’clock this morning! 12 hours ago!
I had but then see above.
Yep, seen it, see my earlier remark.
When was that? I was reluctant as I’m NOT p*ssed (whatever it looks like!) but then thought – well it’s NoTTLers who’ll see it, more like family really.
Oops! About 9 this morning! Sorry Hl! I think you you look terrific – both of you!
Thank you, that’s kind! I hate being photographed and I think it shows :o(
It was my father who started it – he had a very expensive camera (for the late fifties/early sixties) with load of little dials and knob-type things on it. He would set up my brother and me when we were children, look at his light meter gadget, and then it would be twiddle here, turn there (meanwhile people around starting to look) and then “look natural you two” – and he would have a wonderful, technically brilliant photo. Good for the photos, bad for my brother and me! :o)
😱🙄
We don’t judge, Lass as we all know that we too, are capable of having several over the limit.
Whilst you may have been a trifle dwarfed by Katy, I’d still quite fancy you, but I realise that most of what I’d call my eligible lady-friends, are, in fact, ineligible being already married – damned shame!
I shall just suffer in silence. And yes, we are family, therefore no judgement.
Agreed, Sue.
There are some reviews of it on IMDB. They might have come from The Guardian!
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0544869/reviews?ref_=tt_urv
It was fun, so stuff the reviewers. Mind you, they all seem to give 8/10. Most strange.
I expect the high marks are for its satirical value but I thought the satire was so childishly exaggerated that it effectively devalued the message that the reviewers see in it i.e. they really were sending up the black guy, the gypsy and the homosexual.
I thought the childish exaggeration was in keeping with the childish books, and I’m not sure that the sendups were quite so deliberately and pointedly political when it was made as it may seem to some .
Wait until they start on the Secret Seven;-))
Black rescue dog
Not called Reggin.
Not unless he walks backwards…
One of our TV channels has started showing old Carry on films. The preamble is lengthy and to be expected – This movie does not reflect the moral values of the time, nor is it acceptable by todays standards. However, we are showing it for historical accuracy.
Carry on Camping – Historical accuracy?
More accurate than Carry on Henry 😉
So hospitals were like that in the 1950s!
I didn’t arrive until ’54 so don’t know. I’m sure temps aren’t taken with daffodils anymore 😉
Carry On Up the Khyber was quite modern in its view of the British Raj. Not historically accurate though, obvs.
Oscar could be employed as Timmy 🙂 Although to be fair, while he has lots of neuroses, sheep worrying isn’t one of them (largely, I suspect, because he can’t see them).
Yes, lots of neuroses, but I haven’t chased a sheep for years.
Perhaps if you lived in Wales, it might be different 🙂
Sounds awfully white, WS.
Just been chuckling at an Andrew Lawrence video where he described Glastonbury as “whiter than the Arctic circle”.
Gays, blacks and middle easterners will be everywhere. Most will be gays. One will be trans. There won’t be any white people in the five or the family. The ‘villain’ will be a white man.
In short, it’ll be utter tripe that won’t be watched by anyone, but the BBC, because it doesn’t have to care and likes sticking the knife in everything good and decent will set out to pervert the stories, characters and every part of it.
They will be eco-fanatics who will save the Isle of Purbeck from evil frackers and turn it into a luxury reception camp for Channel invaders, after which they will bring down the Tory government…
Rather like the re-rendering of The Darling Buds of May.
This is also true of London: “ State Achieves Goal Of Having Every Road Under Construction At The Same Time” – another brilliant article from the Babylon Bee
https://babylonbee.com/news/state-successfully-has-every-single-road-under-construction-at-the-same-time
It’s pretty well true of our little country lane as well – half the hill has been closed for the last three weeks while contractors put in the pipework for full fibre internet. Now the bottom half has reopened but the top half is closed off and we can’t get out of our drive even if we wanted to. They’ve parked the digger right behind the car so we’re blocked in.
I am not looking forward to trying to get to my RAFA meeting on Monday. The part of my road that connects to the main road will be shut. I suspect that “sorry for any inconvenience” won’t be going down well!
We have had two bridges to the mainland closed for repairs with the other one being resurfaced. Sods law said that the ferry service would be interrupted and it was.
That’s it independence!

A glance at the Telegraph front page does make me wonder how many people read such stuff with any attention save to mourn the death of the title.
I suppose other media types must read each others’ guff for hints on how to be a crass as possible, but do ordinary Britons give this written effluent any credibility? It’s like Gilbert and Sullivan without the tunes……
Very proud of eldest granddaughter. Is now BSc. Sport, Physical Education, Coaching Science (Hons)
Good on her, Alf! Proper job! Open the champagne!
Mine’s a pint TY! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e0f93290ddca21401c46945479487285cf3c4cf89d96dd60f7866fac6435d685.jpg
Well done that Lass!
Good for that girl!
She cleared all the hurdles then!
Excellent.
Right, I’ve a run to to near Wakefield to pick up an auction purchase tomorrow, so I’m off for an early night.
G’night all.
There is an utterly fabulous real ale pub in Wakefield called Henry Boon’s. One of the best pubs I’ve ever visited.
Can’t be doing with that stuff, George.
Hangs heavy on my guts so I use 5 Litre kegs of Affligem in my beer machine. Comes in at 6.9% abv and is very tasty, albeit a lager. Light and easy to drink.
I bet I could find you some cask-conditioned beers that are light and don’t hang heavy on your stomach. There are hundreds of different ales all with unique characteristics.
So try me and better Affligem.
Nice to know for future reference, but not a lot of chance of getting there today.
Evening, all. I should have been out at a meeting this evening, but fortunately I found out it had been cancelled before I set off, thus not increasing my carbon footprint unnecessarily. I’ve been to a funeral this afternoon. The church was packed. He lived respected and died regretted.
Who was he RIP, Connors?
David Astbury; not a member of my lodge, but I knew him from various charity functions. A good bloke and an ex-point-to-point rider.
That last sentence is in the Book of Remembrance for my father.
New instructions from the Brussels mafia, every one from the UK will need a new ID document to enter EU countries.
But only a rubber boat will be necessary to get into the UK. Supplied of course by the Brussels mafia. It’s about time we started sending them all back. So they can also make an official application to come here.
It is the ECHR, HRA, migration pact – all EU policies. We could repeal them. The state refuses to.
ECHR is independent of, and isn’t anything to do with the EU policy, although EU policy is to incorporate ECHR judgments into their own countries. We can still leave, though.
HRA was an internal law promoted by Blair (and no doubt especially backed by his wife, who set up Matrix Chambers which was primarily a Human Rights chambers). That can easily be repealed – we didn’t need it in the first place.
Migration pact was a combination of things – May signed this country into the Barcelona Agreement which was an EU-promoted agreement, even though she knew we were leaving the EU (which makes that signing especially treasonous). However, even under the old EU system, Merkel unilaterally ignored the provisions of the Dublin Accord to give open doors for migrants. Typical Germanic roughshod riding over the rest of the EU.
But yes – we can withdraw from all of them – and yes the governments refuse to.
Spot on so true.
I’ve said before and will say again. We would do ourselves a favour if we ditch Broon’s levy on ling-haul flights and encourage Brits to holiday in UK-friend(lier) places than the EU. And at the same time raise the tax on short haul overseas flights, because (for example) trains. In a stroke the number of Brits holidaying in the EU will plummet but those travelling to Turkey, the Caribbean, Dubai etc will increase.
Well, i think it’s a great idea.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12234279/Girls-aged-10-11-sexually-assaulted-sea-Bournemouth-beach-man-43-arrested.html
A chum brought this to my attention. Note ‘man from London’. For those thinking what I thought, you’re right.
Amazing how the police managed to identify the ‘London man’ without any form of description.
“I is from Lunnon” ?
or: “I from Londonistan”?
I was born in Hampstead 😄😁
I love telling people that 😉😊😇
Well, I supposed someone had to be, Eddy.
I say, it makes me feel rather posh ackqtularly ☺️🤗🤭
Heading to bed soon as tomorrow won’t be a bundle of fun. To cheer me, my husband put on several episodes of Hamish and Dougal to make me laugh, and they did.
Thanks again for your kind comments.
Best wishes Ann. You deserve a break. 😊x
Thinking of you and putting in a good word, Ann.
Good luck for tomorrow, Ann.
We’re all with you.
Praying for you.
sleep well Ann and good luck tomorrow
I wish you all the best for tomorrow. I only popped in for a quick scroll so not sure what tomorrow’s appointment is for. Hopefully something that will bring relief for the on-going pain and nothing too drastic.
(Out most of today seeing the new consultant for my treatment plan.)
Goodnight and good luck!
As far as I know, it’ll be a CT (computerised Tomography) scan of the face to assess the current, likely, damage and what future is required but I’m no medical expert.
It’s why Ann needs all the luck in the world and our heart-felt support. Go Ann.
Thanks for filling me in. As you say, we are all behind Ann. We can but hope the scan shows less damage than the medics initially thought.
I am facing Mohs on 2, possibly 3, facial lesions but there is no suggestion that mine are anything like Ann’s. For that, I am thankful.
Goodnight Tom, sleep well.
CT scan to make sure it hasn’t spread to my lungs. MRI revealed the extent of the cancer’s spread.
I’m so sorry you have to go through this nightmare.
We’re all keeping fingers, toes, and anything else crossable, for you.
Good luck for tomorrow, keep on with the Kanga!!
Fingers crossed for something positive.
I’ll be off in a few minutes, not done much today, but I managed to get our three rubbish bins out side for the good old boys to empty in the morning.
Night all, it’s nearly dark for a change.
https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/0e8837cf31510c17bc05eb235a1960a10831896e3249ccb9ceaeeb3c2720d960.jpg
Love it 😅🤣😂
Matt often nails it.
He does indeed.
Two more sleeps for me before bin day.
Wednesday is the proper day for bin collection. The difficult part is trying to remember which bins of the four we have to put out.
Ours used to be collected onThursdays. Then, for no reason I could discern, it was changed to Wednesdays. I have to put the bin out the day before or it would never be collected. I am not a morning person!
During the ‘lockdowns’ I was classed as a key worker, as I worked in hospitals, food factories, and power stations (etc).
At the weekends I didn’t consider the lockdown regime to apply to me for a different reason, mainly that as a British citizen my government doesn’t tell me when I can or cannot leave my home.
I WILL DAMNED WELL DECIDE.
We just lived our life as usual. It is fairly easy to do when one lives rurally. And I never realised it was a one way street around the supermarkets until it was all over.
373872+ up ticks,
Morning PM,
Sama as that.
Exactly.
Even as the Swedish option was being rejected and lockdown being implemented it was obvious that it was going to be over-kill and cause the country a lot of damage.
Nothing in MSM regarding Biden’s flat rejection of Sunak’s promotion of Ben Wallace for Director General of NATO to succeed Stoltenberg.
I suppose the lesson here for Sunak and his slobbering ilk is that no amount of arse licking and boot licking of the Biden administration will alter the fact that Biden has always and will always hate and despise the UK.
Many of us in the UK are wondering why with our failing economy, a rental and mortgage crisis, rampant inflation in food prices and services, energy costs spiralling and many unable to put away savings to even enter the housing market, we are left with an utterly unconvincing ferret-faced rat-bodied Prime Minister who appears ignorant to our collective predicament.
The little shit ignored the plight of the UK citizen whilst accommodating access to the country of a million or more illegals and whilst shovelling billions of pounds that we do not have down the throat of his ridiculous comrade in arms Zelensky.
I should add that friends of ours who took in a family of Ukrainians are hoping that they will return to Ukraine soon. There is only so much that even the kindest and most generous of our people can take.
Is it just me or does anyone else think that Sunak is merely unintelligent and like me left wondering how on Earth this diminutive fool ever made it to Downing Street.
Sunak wasn’t elected after offering a manifesto and campaigning on its merits: that’s not to say that the likes of May and Johnson were determined to follow their manifesto promises but they had placed themselves in the shop window of national politics.
Sunak was placed into No 10 to push the scams of Net Zero, mass Third World immigration (legal or otherwise), digital currency, 15 minute neighbourhoods, reduction in farming capacity etc. that appear to be the policies being proposed across the Western World. It is no mystery that these policies accord with the Davos shower’s statements of intent.
Where exactly does Sunak’s allegiance lay?
Good night, chums. See you all tomorrow.
Although I slept through most of the afternoon, I’ll wish you all a Goodnight and God bless and try to be awake early enough to give you to-morrow’s story.
Stewth, I sleep a lot – escapism?
Yes, I am doing the same.
You’ll have to find another Poppy to love. Difficult I know but well worth the effort, Mum.
Awful, isn’t it. I feel I can confide in you, Mum, as I know the trauma you’re going through.
It is awful when you wake up and have to go through the process of assimilation once again as realisation floods in.
I’m hoping you see notifications, which is why I’m commenting here rather than on today’s blog.
You replied to one of LotL’s posts:
Tough titty on him, Ann, you concentrate on just getting better – and prettier.
I know what you meant and you probably know her better than I do, but given what is happening, a reference to becoming prettier, however well meant, might rub salt into what she may be about to have done to her face surgically, which very unlikely to enhance her looks.
No offence intended, I have seen how facial changes can affect people very adversely psychologically, out of all proportion to what others see.
just want to wish Ann well and maybe give her an encouraging boost to face the future.
I assumed that that was the case.
I’m only aware of the effect of how such well meant sentiments can underline what is about to happen to the individual, because of it happening to people I cared for deeply and made them focus on the bad side rather than the encouragement intended.
It’s very sad that such a lovely person is having so many brickbats all arriving simultaneously both to her and her husband.
Goodnight, all.
Good morning, all – Tuesday’s new page is here.
Thank you!
Thanks Geoff! ‘Morning all!
