Nope. Silence.
Forget the $100m – this is Farage’s smartest move yet. 6 January 2025.
Many Americans believe Britain is occupied by Islamic rape gangs protected by socialist bureaucrats, and see Robinson not as a rabble-rouser or charlatan, but a free speech warrior; one who comes with the added frisson of being working-class (to the Silicon Valley rich, Luton appears exotic). They’ve been told this not just by Robinson’s surprisingly powerful North American lobby but, let’s be honest, by British Right-wingers who have profited from presenting their country as ground zero in the collapse of civilisation. Into the ranks of Reform, the natural home of the dissident Right, have thus been drawn online agitators; disaffected, poor whites; and young, intellectual conservatives radicalised by the horrors of Rotherham rape gangs.
This is supposed to be in support of Farage? The more one reads the more isolated from the people he looks.

Many
AmericansBrits believe Britain is occupied by Islamic rape gangs protected by socialist bureaucrats. There, fixed it for you, Minty.
So Reform supporters have been "radicalised"? What utter nonsense!
I think Reform is controlled opposition, but its supporters are people who are simply not happy with liblabcon. To call them "radicalised" is ludicrous.
There appears to be almost a defiance of reality by the political classes and their supine media. The cover up of Pakistani/Bangladeshi muslim rape gangs over the past half century has been exposed. The court transcripts tore away the veil.
Tommy Robinson, for all his faults, has been 'reporting' on such evil acts for the past 20 years. He now lingers in solitary confinement, as a protection against attacks from muslim prisoners. All Farage had to do was acknowledge TRs efforts without any need to have him join Reform.
Farage's comments have allowed Westminster/Whitehall to set their media dogs against the free speech social media platform offered by Elon Musk and attempt to deflect attention away from the horrendous crimes that all the uniparty are neck deep in.
Apparently, #TwoTierKeir will be making a statement this morning. I wonder if he'll have the time or space to mention his failings as DPP from 2008 to 2013? I doubt it, and fully expect another attack on freedom of speech.
'Tim Stanley' is an anagram of 'Festering turd' – well, near enough.
Good morning Geoff and all NoTTLers. Very windy outside.
Here is the first Monday Chuckle:
An ant was running through the forest in a hurry and met a wolf who asked:
"I'm going to donate blood!"
"What happened, little ant, why are you running like that?"
"Haven't you heard? There was a big accident, the elephant collided with the hippopotamus."
"And where are you running?"
Full of antibodies?
All for Mic Acid?
I know a Micky Finn.
Good morning, chums. And thanks, Geoff, for today's NoTTLe site.

This should bring down the Government.
But they will get away with it
I do so hope not.
I do so hope it does I should say.
Morning, all Y'all.
Snowing. Gently, fine snow. Half a metre predicted by the end of the day… not looking that way just now.
Good morning, everyone.
Good morning.
Instead of giving £ 100 million to Reform, Musk should be giving money to the child victims of the grooming gangs so they can afford top lawyers to take our whole establishment to court for their failure to provide duty of care.
The resulting publicity would boost Reform and destroy all three mainstream party's and their mainstream media.
A win win to all concerned.
Changes nothing.
The progressive liberal would still be in power.
tch tch they don't want REAL change!
Elon Musk's father says history is on the side of Tommy Robinson.
Because gamechanging leaders all went to jail for their beliefs.
Nelson Mandela was jailed.
Gandhi was jailed.
Aung San Suu Kyi, was jailed.
Kwame Nkrumah, was jailed.
Ricardo Lagos, was jailed.
Jacob Zuma, was jailed.
Muhammadu Buhari, was jailed.
Imran Ahmed Khan, is still in jail.
Éamon de Valera was even sentenced to death.
And of course a little fella with a moustache.
Or in jail
Good morning, all. Windy and the rain appears to have eased off for the moment.
The "rape gangs" saga continues apace with another revelation attributed to the ex-MP for Telford, Lucy Allan. If factual, it is little wonder that the Labour government doesn't want an Independent Inquiry. And the Tories are up to their neck in the mess.
As an aside, Farage & Co should lay off Tommy Robinson as he has been pursuing this subject for years and remains a thorn in the Uni-party's side. Reform i.e. Farage/Tice etc. will need all the support available if they are to become a real threat to the Uni-party and change the manner in which we are governed. The problems facing the UK are much, much bigger than Reforms' distaste for Robinson and his supporters.

Not surprised that Warsi was in the cover-up up to her neck.

I do remember it, I can picture the camp guy saying it, togged up as a Roman. Unless I am mis-remembering
Frankie Howerd
There's something nasty in the woodshed. Something very nasty indeed.
A woman of courage. She has made some minor cock-ups but she was, and still is, a better politician than 99.9% of the wasters currently in Parliament. I hope she returns to Telford at the next election.
"I was summoned by Conservative Peer Baroness Warsi to explain myself. Then there was the repeated refrain that as 90% of child abuse is committed by white men in domestic settings, why didn’t I concern myself with that as it was a more significant problem."
Ah, the standard defence: "White men rape women as well, you know," followed by the inevitable accusation of hypocrisy and racism.
As for Warsi…
Good morning, all. I hope you have a cheerful Epiphany. Raining here. Mild.
Good Morning, all
Everything looks dull here.

Muslim Council of Britain strongly advocates British Muslims to identify primarily as Muslim rather than British.
After statements like that.. Now all eyes on X will go straight to Musk, Lowe & TR (when he get his mobile back).
Good morning all. Another day towards the Islamifucation of Britain….
From the DT:
"Children in the Islamic community should be taught to identify themselves primarily as Muslim rather than British, the frontrunner to lead the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has said.
Wajid Akhter, who is standing to be general secretary of the MCB, warned in an article that teaching children to identify primarily with their nationality or ethnicity could make them shallow, whereas choosing their faith as their primary identity provided a solid foundation to approach life.
He also called being a Muslim an “act of revolutionary defiance… at odds with the prevailing culture” and condemned new year celebrations as “pagan”, “mixed-gender” and “the first step on a slippery slope”, according to analysis of his speeches and writings by think tank Policy Exchange.
Dr Akhter, a doctor from Essex, looks set to lead the MCB, an influential body representing the Muslim community. He had a senior role in The Muslim Vote, a campaign at the last election to defeat Labour and Conservative candidates in favour of MPs sympathetic to Palestine, and hostile to UK counter-terror policy.
The only other candidate, Muhammad Adrees, praised “the Iranian Revolution when the great leader [Ayatollah Khomeini] led the nation to its destiny”
Very difficult choice between those two charmers. Which are you going to vote for?
Mohammed of course – I'd be silly not to!
There is a simple answer to that. Remove the Muslim Council of Britain from any influence in public life.
These are just the tenets of their religion.
Most Christians would see their first duty as being towards God rather than Britain. This has been solved in the past by maintaining public life roughly based on Christian principles and with active Christian input into the government. It's pretty clear that the majority in Britain, whether they're Christian, Hindu, Sikh, atheist, Jewish or any other mainstream belief do not want active Muslim influence in government though.
I can't imaging comments staying open for long.
A BTL:-
No, just FO because they will never FI.
Akhter just stating a known teaching of islam which good muslims already follow.
"Children in the Islamic community should be taught to identify themselves primarily as Muslim rather than British"
Naturally he'd say that. He'd love everyone to be kept in their ideological silos. Keeps the faithful keen at least. At least though, unlike this Labour government he seems to understand that Muslim is not a race.
Why hasn't Welby thrown his mitre into the ring?
He has experience in running down a well established religion.
Is the new president addicted to Punch & Judy Shows?
"Iran executed a record 1,000 people in 2024, almost 70 per cent of them after its new “reformist” president took office.
The killings, the most in Iran in 30 years, took place across 86 prisons and those executed included 34 women and seven juveniles.
Some 695 of them came after Masoud Pezeshkian, a wild card candidate who was thought to be more progressive, took over in August."
I suppose that's a more radical way of creating more space in jails…….?
Morning all.
Our leading article at FSB, ‘ Industrial Organised Juvenile Rape in Britain Today ’ is on the Rape Gang crisis, and the State’s attempt to cover it up, by Nanumaga, who knew a Bangladeshi in it. In FSB’s view this matter needs to be pressed to the point where those in positions of authority, politicians, police, Directors of Public prosecutions, are themselves prosecuted for gross negligence and dereliction of duty, or even collusion in mass rape. Join us in this, as we will be shamed forever if we let them get away with it.
Yesterday’s piece, ‘It’s Tommy this, an’ Tommy That’ generated a lively debate. Overall, the view was that the majority did not fully agree with Farage’s view of Tommy Robinson but understood why he held them, implying support for Reform’s stance. FSB’s view is that Reform should be supported for now, though not uncritically. I need to think about this for a while, but I’m wondering if this was a manufactured row designed to put clear blue water between Reform and Tommy Robinson, to gain further support for Reform. What do you think?

The powers that be have really, really miscalculated.
They thought that by calling us all racists for questioning what we saw happening with our own eyes, the country would not balkanise. Keep appeasing, pay the Danegeld.
But the man on the street knows that can ot work.
What do we do now? This is 60 years in the making.
Enoch Powell may have had the wrong target, but he was correct in his thinking.

Morning SE,
The S(tools) law that's worth 6 of the best.
“Entitled” – by which i hope you mean, taxpayers who have paid int the system
I have issues with "provide the treatment that patients expect"
That is pure meaningless nonsense.
People should get the treatment for which they have PAID and are ENTITLED because they have entered into a CONTRACT. Some subsidising of the poor by the rich is desirable in order to keep society reasonably healthy, but in Britain, all relationship between payments and treatment has been so far lost that most people have no clue any more.
It's right that the rape gang problem is having a spotlight shone on it, but never forget that TPTB are stirring the pot of tensions between muslims and everyone else like crazy.
Up til now, the rape gangs have not been stopped, which must be our goal. It suits the establishment to let them continue, and I see a lot of words but zero action that would stop them.
As long as we're fighting the muslims, we're not demanding the heads of central bankers for ruining the currency and bankrupting everyone.
Why has this Musk-driven publicity kicked off now? Are we getting close to a financial crisis?
Indeed.. I'll say it again..

Good morning all.
A dull and overcast start to the day, overnight rain has paused but still a fair amount of snow about.
Temperatures still above freezing, currently with 2.1°C, slightly down from a maximum of 2.7° but up from yesterday's minimum of 0.7°C.
One wonders how this grooming gang scandal could have possibly happened, it would take the compliance of so many people in authority and on the ground, how did it stay out of mainstream media scrutiny for so long, while treating those that did try to say something as racists and criminals.
We often wondered how the national socialists managed to get a whole country to comply with evil, as it turns out it is easier than anyone thought possible
Then that leads into other agendas where madness has swept through the country unchallenged, like the decolonisation of history and education, wokery, men competing as women in sport, climate change de-industrialization of the country, all that sort of stuff.
How many people have been silenced as well using similar tactics.
One reason: Many "people in authority" – at all levels – are slammers.
…or beholden to a slammer voting block.
Of course Postal Voting is totally safe from being rigged!!!!!!!!!
NURSE…………..
Good moaning from C d S.
This is true. We are letting them take over local councils.
Absolutely spot on Bob3.
Sadly.
The "Long March".
Revelations re the rape gangs from decades ago are emerging now. No doubt that many other areas of politics, at all levels; NGOs etc. have been similarly brought into the group think over time.
And yet, we are told “diversity is our strength” because “diversity” is supposed to lead AWAY from Groupthink.
(Anyone with a functioning brain knows this is total codswallop, of course, but this is the “foundational myth” of the DEI carp that now is written into our laws and regulations and is repeated as a mantra in board rooms up and down the country)
As I have said on a number of occasions there is no diversity. We have a lot of wonks telling us to comply with their idea of diversity that it has morphed into CONFORMITY.
They just can’t see that.

Bring to mind that 48% of the nation voted incarceration, the party magnet is greater than the nations in many cases, everyday familie peoples make up councils. check out rotherham council at the time of the JAY report,
That council could very well be replicated countrywide.
James Delingpole has mused on the same question, of how the media is so effectively controlled without people actually being trained to avoid particular stories. People just know that certain things are career-ending.
That twitt post by the ex MP names the ways in which she was discouraged from talking about it.

We should be suffering in mass abundance from mass numbers of doctors and nurses unless, that is, the politico governing elites and their Dover mass medical foreign daily intakes are telling us porkies.
In truth,
This odious gaggle of political kapos WILL next incarcerate ANY indigenous found praying outside a doctors surgery.
But, bare in mind that could be your salvation on the treatment menu.
Dt,
Monday 6 January: There aren’t enough GPs to provide the treatment that patients expect
Morning all 🙂😊
Wet and windy 4 degs but better than yesterday, they'll be using GBW on the weather forecasts again now.
Where have all the NHS staff gone ?
They have become sadly dissatisfied and completely dissalusioned with the increasing and uncontrolled workload in the NHS and moved to the private sector. Who can blame them?
It seems to be part of the ongoing plan. But of course this has left millions of brits in the lurch and much needed treatment denied.
How can anyone take out private medical insurance with already diagnosed ailments.
Now FOAD is the only option available.
OT – we had an interesting experience last evening. Watching the excellent original production of "Brideshead Revisited" on ITVX brought it all back – how accurately it reflects the text in the novel, and the superb performances (especially the small roles).
The downside was the stream of advertisements. To watch ITVX free one has to accept them – and one cannot fast forward. The MR and I never watch "live" TV and when looking at recordings FF any adverts. Thus we were exposed to the full horror. The ghastly and improbable diversity, of course: but what staggered us both was that we simply did not understand what many of the adverts were FOR.
Bit of a toss-up now whether to continue with the play…..
Treat yourself to the DVD boxset. I gave up the pleasures of livestream broadcasts a few years ago. Whilst visiting relatives over the Christmas period I have been exposed to the banality of 'reality' TV and adverts. It underlined why I gave up on such nonsense.
Feargal, that matches my experience entirely, after being exposed to TV while visiting one of my sons over Christmas.
When my late wife had her 'Hospital' bed moved into the lounge on 16th June 2021 I took the TV set out and parked it facing a radiator in a spare bedroom. Since then here has been no television in this house, especially not on iPlayer, which I have deleted from all my internet-connected devices in case any TV Licence Inspector should suggest that I watch ANY TV. It's a complete heap of content-free rubbish.
EDIT: I wouldn't let a TV Licence Inspector in anyway.

As Feargal says, get the box set. We've had it for years and it's one worth returning to periodically.
I read the novel at least four times a year.
That’s dedication. There are certainly worse things you can do with your time. We tend to keep going back to the Joan Hickson Marple set and Montalbano.
I like Montalbano.
I pretty much avoid all adverts now. The ones I've seen recently have been boring, weird, annoying and/or stupid.
I guess we had a golden age of TV ads – some of them were really funny or nice to watch – and now it's over.
Here here.
Many adverts are too clever by half. The producers spend more time ticking diversity boxes/tricksy camera angles/failed 60's B side tunes to actually mention the product.
I'm damned if I would fork out squillions to these pony tailed chancers. But it's probably a tax scam by the corporations.

I came across this video last night: An Honest Conversation about Islam.
Lloyd de Jongh is a South African who has lived and worked in Islamic countries for many years. After being confused by what he observed he decided to study Sharia Law. He found that in Islam there is no morality, no sense of right and wrong, there is only 'permitted' and 'forbidden' under Sharia. There is also endemic deception and just plain lying. This is why no-one who is a Muslim is fit to hold any public office anywhere in the Western World. If they swear the oath on the Koran, they are deceiving us because the Koran encourages lying. Not Sajid Javed, not Sayeeda Warsi, and especially not Shabana Mahmood who is Starmer's Justice Secretary and Lord Chancellor. Nor Zia Yusuf. Not one of them. Not unless they renounce Islam and become Christian, agnostic or atheist.

As surely as does the parliamentary halal inclusive canteen menu, in regards to the bacon buttie.
Anyone giving evidence in a British court must swear an oath "the evidence I shall give shall be the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth". If what you are suggesting about Taqiyya and it being incorporated within the holy book upon which one swears, is this not an irreconcilable conflict?
Would it not be better for Muslims to affirm?
It would make no difference, even their affirmation would be permitted to be false under their laws.
What for? Taqiya makes the oath null and void so it doesn't matter if you take the oath or not.
I am reminded of Brutus when he and his fellow conspirators are plotting to assassinate Julius Caesar. He says that their integrity and the honesty and virtue of their cause makes an oath unnecessary – if they needed an oath it would imply that they are not entirely above having base rather than noble motives.
No, not an oath. If not the face of men,
The sufferance of our souls, the time’s abuse—
If these be motives weak, break off betimes,
And every man hence to his idle bed.

Whooa.
Musk swiftly shines the torch onto Gordon Brown.
Lefties immediately swing into damage limitation mode..
Ah the mythical letter to police. No Government guidance saying this was ever issued. This is an internet myth referring to Home Office circular 17/2008 which provided guidance to police on protection powers under the Children Act, particularly when to intervene when a child is at risk in a family situation.
BBC patiently waiting for someone to attack Musk.. then make this the headline of the day.
Anyhow, please.. everybody should just shut up for the sake of diversity. NOW.
https://rense.com/general89/brownpd.htm
That is absolutely horrendous.
If true.
I think the ‘D’ notices sum it up.
As I said, If true.
Quite.
But once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action, and there are many more than three.
I know. I live very close to Dunblane, a good friend lost her daughter and I know one of the (non-Masonic) police inspectors involved in the horror. I needed to know.
One wonders why the writers/publishers of the material were not sued for libel by those accused of so many appalling actions.
Wow. Wow again. Thrice and quadruple wow.
I take the point that Dunblane was a very convenient excuse for the government to effectively remove firearms from the GBP.
So did the police.
Just as Hungerford gave the excuse to ban semi-automatic rifles.
And now Mandelson is being rewarded again as ambassador to the US.
OK, not sure what anyone will think to this…I cancelled my Reform membership today due to Farage apparent non-support for Robinson – who I do support – I was a white working class girl, could have been me or my mates, we used to hang out at night…go to the youth club for a while then onto the chip shop, often missed the last bus, walk home in the dark or cadge a lift. So there were are, bit of a depressing start to the day…onward n upward….
399759+ up ticks,
Morning KJ
These old sayings were put in place to be heeded.
Once bitten ……..
Fool me once ………
Many times I walked home in the dark but if I had a young daughter now I wouldn't let her do that. There were two occasions when I was a teenager that I came close to trouble. At 13 I was engaged in conversation by a man at least in his forties. He wrote a letter, which my mum intercepted and replied to. That saw him off.
At 16 (almost 17) I was accosted at a bus stop, the guy insisted on paying the fare, he kept me talking until it got dark (July) and then made his move. I was lucky to escape intact. It was a very frightening sexual assault.
When my mother was 17 she stayed in London with her sister and thought nothing of walking home alone late at night having visited her friends who lived a couple of miles away.
The last but one time I was in London, I was staying with a friend in Canada Water. We had a meal and as we paid the bill, I was distracted and it can only have been there that my bank card was copied or cloned and resulted in some fraudulent transactions a few weeks later. Fortunately Barclays fraud team were onto that before I was – and they were very efficient in cancelling the card, issuing a new one and refunding the fraudulent debits.
Things in Paris and in France in general were considerably worse than in England, when I was of an age to be molested by men in the street. But one of my most alarming experiences originated in England.
When I was in my early 20s I was stuck on a delayed train on my way to Portsmouth and thence to Le Havre, where I was working at the time. As one does on these occasions, I struck up a conversation with two naval officers seated opposite me. No problem there, just friendly chit-chat. Several weeks later, I was astonished to receive a letter at work, addressed to me personally, from one of these naval officers, suggesting a cosy weekend away at his cottage near Portsmouth. It freaked me out, because he told me that my university (who had seconded me to the university in Le Havre) had given him my name and address and I was worried that he would turn up one day in person. Fortunately, he didn't – but I was really worried that I had a potential stalker on my heels. I had a word with the secretaries at the university who were most concerned and apologetic. I doubt very much if this could happen to a young woman today, fortunately.
My experiences in France were wide-ranging: a flasher seated opposite me in a crowded train; a hulk of a black man who followed me for miles and was eventually seen off by an irate little Frenchman running a newspaper kiosk where I sought refuge; a gang of white boys who wouldn't let me off a train in the métro in the evening; a man at a bus stop near the Arc de Triomphe after dark, who offered me money in exchange for sex and then followed me onto the bus; a resident in a long-term residential hotel (where they had student digs on the top floor, where I was living at the time) who cornered me and tried to rape me. I got out of all of these safely but the story could easily have been very different. Oddly enough, I never felt safer than in Pigalle, the red-light district in Paris, where I was so obviously not a prostitute that I was left alone!
Scary stuff Caroline! I remember a train journey in 1966, coming home from London….. empty carriage and I kept the corridor door open as well. Windows were open (it was summer) then as we went through the tunnels between Swindon and Stroud I was hit by a blast which damaged my ear drum permanently. So no sexual assaults there but I'm pretty deaf in my right ear, stemming from that time.
Horrid, poor you!
I have tinnitus and am losing my hearing in my left ear, but that’s anno domini… Bit of a nuisance, as a musician, but nobody I’ve seen about it has anything to suggest that might help.
I'm in two minds over this.
Realpolitik means that sometimes obvious allies have to be publicly unacknowledged until the time is judged to be right.
It's not nice, it may seem ignoble or even cowardly, but timing is of the essence.
And yes, I accept that Robinson is a political prisoner, but unfortunately he doesn't know how to play the snits at their own game.
That is why successful revolutions are managed by the middle class.
(Lenin was from the squirearchy.)
I should write an email registering my protest but my membership I wont bother renewing. In fact if I protest they will chuck me out anyway for being a supporter of Tommy Robinson. What bother me is that Farage's dismissal of Robinson was dishonest and cowedly besides being insulting and a lie.
Right now, I’m without a political home/party to support. Staggered at Starmer, surrounded by female health workers, not even mentioning Rotherham/Oxford. Do I think Badenoch will have the courage to ask him in the House (Farage likely having been refused to as one of his questions?). I doubt she will, more interested in another pop at Farage, again missing the mark.
I'm in the same boat. I was a UKIP member in the old days but I'm not sure about that party now. I suppose in an election I would vote Reform at present. But I have the feeling that Reform will collapse. In that case I would vote Conservative just to see off Labour. Farage needs to resign and Ben Habib and Rupert Lowe need to be in charge.
With you, johnathan. Did you see the post about Dunblane/Mandelson/Brown/Blair. I feel stupid, naive, angry. All in plain sight for many years. I realise now why no Starmer statement, just doesn’t care. In power and that’s it. Need to get my head in a better place.
I'm sure he cares, but only about himself. And, by saying nothing, he doesn't keep the pot boiling, and so the issue may drain away with no real damage… he hopes.
My flabber is gasted by the support he still has (eg photo op with gurning nurses) hope people wake up, and soon.
The Bovaer scandal just drained away because the media were told to ignore it.
This scandal will similarly drain away into oblivion.
Haven’t seen that yet. You shouldn’t feel stupid. A lot of us have known better but have always wanted to give Farage a chance mainly because there has been no alternative. But I honestly think that is changing and things will become more positive soon.
Thanks johnathan. I hope you’re right, but the grooming scandal looks set to run a good bit longer, as it should. Depressing and blood-boiling by turns.
One of the very best things about Rupert Lowe is that he is passionate about the issues he examines with such thoroughness and the welfare of the UK but at the same time does not seem to have any personal ambition to be leader of the party.
Of course often the best leaders are those who do not want to be leaders!
As I said repeatedly on this forum yesterday Farage should have condemned the treatment Tommy Robinson has received by the PTB and the MSM. He could have done that without having to welcome TR into the Reform Party.
Farage has not just alienated Musk but he has also alienated many of those who do not necessarily approve of Tommy Robinson but think he has been disgracefully treated and that his views on mass immigration are not that different from the views many of us have.
Nigel Farage's problem is that he is both a snob and and inverted snob. He looks down on Robinson for being a common twerp and he also holds Old Etonians from Oxbridge (such as Cameron and Johnson) as being chinless toffs – a bit rich from someone who went to Dulwich College, one of England's top public schools!
I think that Katie Hopkins puts it very well:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grTI7lGOCmQ
I’m listening to Paul Thorpe at the moment. Apparently whole chapters of Reform are 100% backing Robinson. Farage has put his foot in it massively.
UKIP is recruiting.
Thank you.
Hope not. Poilievre says he's going to bring it round, already talking with Trump administration re tarrifs.
You know what my reply to that is going to be, don’t you…. 🙂
I can guess. He's gone, remains to be seen if another stooge ahead. Not a PP fan, then? 🤔
No, I like him – I just don’t think he will make big changes. I’d love to be proved wrong.
Ah, me2 BB2. One day, things will change, just hope I live to see that. Might have to wait awhile.

Oooh! Yes please, miss!
Wait in line: behind me.
My flabber is ghasted and I am founded dumb by Starmer's hypocrisy!
It is in order for him to interfere with American politics sending a team to support Kamala Harris and for his own cabinet members and the London mayor vilely to insult the incoming president of the USA but out of order for a foreigner to criticise him over his apparent protection of those complicit with the Pakistani rape gangs by not having a full enquiry.
The rape gang scandal makes Britain a contemptible place and so it is not surprising that the UK is held in contempt and that people like Musk will express their contempt.
Well said, Rastus. Desperate times. I can't watch/listen to him. Will someone please just say if he said anything at all about Rotherham/Oxford/Musk,white girls….simple yes or no will suffice. Thanks.
The reason he doesn't want an enquiry is because he is neck deep in that particular swamp. As I pointed out some time ago. Herr Starmer has a particular fascination with defending Islamic thugs and killers. It seems to have been a career choice and one that makes you wonder about his thought processes and if he has any moral compass.
It seems only a certain percentage of us are concerned, Rastus. Sufficiently so that we won't vote Labour (if indeed any of us did). I wondered why Starmer didn't issue a rebuttal to Musk, now I see he's just toughing it out 'nothing to see here'…and his supporters will continue to be supporters,if he's guilty or not – they simply don't care, he's 'one of us'.
Good morning, KJ
It is the government and its operatives rather than the ordinary people for whom Musk has expressed his contempt. The trouble is that we are quite unfairly judged by the governments we elect whether we wanted them or not.
Hypocrisy is the equivalent of lying.
They are all well practiced.
Labour is about to destroy schools like it ruined universities
Now nobody is safe from sinister, loony left identitarianism: not even children

I can’t say that I liked school much. I went to three: a nasty local state school in small-town Massachusetts run by teachers who seemed to be there solely to vent their hatred of children; an experimental independent day school in another small town nearby, whose relative cheapness was made up for by the ropiness of its curriculum, and finally, on a sizeable violin scholarship, to a famous mixed, co-ed independent school – Bedales – in Hampshire. I didn’t really care which type of school I was in, as I always found it both inherently tiresome and socially stressful.
I did, however, find two out of my 11 years of schooling academically enriching and worthwhile, even if they were lacking in other ways. These were the final two, where I did A levels in economics, French and English (I know, a slightly strange trio).
The teaching was erratic but the exam board (Cambridge) was solid back then and I found, absent being cool and into binge drinking, that revising like the devil for the exams meant grappling with Milton’s verse rhythms, Hamlet’s core themes, concepts like marginal utility and opportunity cost, and the nuances of Cyrano de Bergerac… in French.
None of that would have been possible under reforms like the ones now being pushed through under grim Labour’s even grimmer Education Secretary, Bridget Phillipson, an Oxford graduate from Tyne and Wear, the beneficiary of just the sorts of approaches, schemes and funding she now wants to axe. She launched an independent review of the school curriculum soon after Labour’s July victory, and has apparently now come to the conclusion that it needs a major overhaul.
The curriculum, she reminded us last week, will be getting a “refresh” because it is “outdated” thanks to the “issues and diversities of our society”. She therefore intends to “breathe new life” into the national syllabus. That’s Shakespeare told.
The monochrome pursuit of cultural right-think has already led Labour to axe funding for Latin teaching in state schools via the Latin Excellence Programme. This fits nicely with the party’s zest for sabotage and hypocrisy by ensuring that Latin – the tongue in which much Western civilisation was laid down, and a root language that makes the study of romance languages much more accessible – is only available to the richest. For those are now the only people who, following the VAT hike on independent schools, can afford private education.
As has been widely noted, Phillipson is hardly an outlier, however grotesque her vandalism of received epistemology. The teaching unions are all over this agenda, suffused – as performative Leftists tend to be, by the most arcane woke convictions, demanding that English literature should be less “traditional” and “more diverse”. One union insists schools should “embed anti-racist and decolonised approaches” in the curriculum, while another sounded the alarm that currently “ethnicity and sexual orientation are under-represented”. Unions have said that pushing high standards in English and maths has discouraged attendance.
Phillipson is keen to do away with the whole notion of subjects as we know them, as these are certainly too regressive. She is simply done – over it – with the likes of history and literature, at least as we know them, full of the richness laid down by our most brilliant ancestors.
They are to be replaced in their former glory and lifelong guides by a full load of the woke DEI rubbish that has already destroyed university curricula.
Even most eerily, and in keeping with some of the worst American campus excesses, she wants science mauled too by way of being “de-Westernised”. Truly depressingly, the “evidence” drawn on by the Government for doing this came from bodies that should be championing the teaching of science, not trying to destroy it. And yet the Royal Society of Biology, Royal Society of Chemistry, and Institute of Physics all said that pupils should learn why some cultures were “less able to claim credit and ownership for ideas”. They say that “heroes” should be done away with.
Presumably that includes the likes of Marie Curie, who discovered radium and polonium, and Rosalind Franklin, who was key in the discovery of DNA.
The race to the bottom in education, this rampaging through the likes of merit, standards, talent, interest and standards may mask itself in words like “refresh” and “update”. But the reality is that the hills children who are interested in learning real things must now climb have just multiplied. The whole system is working against curiosity by making it dangerous – and extremely expensive – to indulge, to the detriment of our entire society.
In a state school, the desire to learn, say, more about Isaac Newton or Jane Austen will carry the handicap of political incorrectness, and the would-be Austenite will no doubt be faced with a barrage of attempts to redirect her to something more pro-trans and anti-racist.
The groupthink language used in describing this overhaul is useful for one thing: as a warning of the sorts of muddy, menacing burble recipients of Labour’s educational agenda will be taught to use. This is the most incompetent Government in history, but with shake-ups like this, it becomes possibly the most damaging ever. A generation’s chance to think, inquire and debate has already been stoppered by the hideous climate at universities and in woke workplaces.

Education was a major success in England under Conservatives, with highest international league results including best reading ability in Western world. In Wales under Labour over same time period they were their worst in history. So no surprises that Phillipson is going to apply to England what they did in Wales. Sorry, but you have to work really hard to be that thick! God save us!

Phillipson is dangerous, very, very dangerous. She is an unreconstructed Marxist, set about with a chip on both her shoulders.
Reeves, Phillipson and Miliband, if allowed to continue unchecked, will destroy what is left of this country. It only needs these three seemingly crazed nitwits to ruin everything, – everything that is left from the carnage wrought by the repellent spiv Blair.

Teach children to identify as Muslim instead of British, says frontrunner for Islamic body
Wajid Akhter, standing to be general secretary of the Muslim Council of Britain, also condemned new year celebrations as ‘pagan’
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01/06/muslims-identify-religion-over-nationality-mcb-act-defiance/
As Starmer ponders how to define Islamophobia will he be able to come up with a definition which enables those of 'other faiths and none' to be protected from the phobia expressed towards them by Muslims?
Paul Mason
A good friend of mine that I play football with is a moderate Muslim, but he is always Muslim first and then British second. The scary thing though, is that he and his fellows who are all second or third generation, believe in the prophesy of the 'Ummah' – the global Islamic caliphate.
He genuinely believes that being part of that will be good for US and that in time we will adapt and learn to accept it. He has not said what might happen should we refuse to convert or how we might be 'encouraged'.
He is a good person – but it just highlights that they do not think as we do. They think we are daft and misguided for not being Muslim and that it is in our own interests to join them.
This is something I find altogether more frightening than the activities of so called 'extremists'.
Reply to Paul Mason
You may think he is a good friend of yours but how far is the friendship reciprocated? Muslim Sharia rules explicitly state that Muslims should have no non Muslim friends.
He's a good friend until it's time for the knives to come out. This little parable is appropriate.
There was once a scorpion who lived in a mountain. One day he decided that he wanted to change where he lived, so he climbed through the vines and the rocks until he came to a river. The river was wide and the water was running fast, and so the scorpion had to reconsider his decision. He checked all up and down the river, but he couldn’t see any way that he could possibly get across. At that point, the scorpion was thinking that he might have to turn around.
Suddenly, the scorpion noticed a frog sitting in the plants on the opposite banks of the river. He decided to ask the frog for help getting across the river. But, when he asked the frog for a ride across the river on his back, the frog was skeptical. “How do I know that if I give you a ride, you won’t just try to kill me?” The frog asked.
The scorpion replied by saying that if he killed the frog, then he too would die because he could not swim. This seemed logical to the frog. But then something else occurred to the frog. “How do I know that you won’t just kill me once we get to the other side of the river?” the frog asked. The scorpion replied by saying that he would be so grateful for the ride across the river that he couldn’t possibly kill the frog.
So, the frog decided to trust the scorpion and take him across. The frog swam to the other back, settled in the mud, and waited to pick up his passenger. Once the scorpion was on his back, he began to swim across the river. In the middle of the river, the frog suddenly felt a sharp pain in his back and looked behind him to see the scorpion pulling his stinger out of his back. The frog began to feel a numbness come over his whole body and he began to drown.
Before the frog went under the water, he asked the scorpion why he would doom them both to death. The scorpion did a little dance on the back of the drowning frog and said, “I could not help myself. It is my nature.” Then, both the scorpion and the frog sank into the muddy waters of the river.
Isn’t it time to ask why there is a ‘Muslim Council of Britain’? And then delete it?
They're entrenched as a political party, far as I know, Sue. Vote wasn't so big last election, bet it will be next one.
Same idea as a Black Police Association (and other similar). Were one to create a White Assn – one would be vilified and called racist.
To quote Paul Mason above
………. he is a good person
A student of philosophy will tell you that you cannot ascribe truth to subjective judgements: this is the implication of The Naturalistic Fallacy.
What I think is good or bad is not necessarily what you think is good or bad.
As usual Shakespeare was on to this when he gave this line to Hamlet to deliver to Rosancrantz:
“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”
(Of course Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are part of a plot organised by Hamlet's Uncle Claudius to murder Hamlet when he travels to England – but the plot is discovered and R and G get their just desserts!)
And a few quotes from the Qur'an to assist your thinking:
“Slay the unbelievers wherever you find them.” Qur’an 2:191
“Make war on the infidels living in your neighbourhood.” Qur’an 9:123
“When opportunity arises, kill the infidels wherever you catch them.” Qur’an 9:5
What will happen should you fail to convert will be loss of rights and privileges and having to pay jizya just to exist in the muslim state.
Britain’s grooming gangs scandal is shattering the ultra-liberal world-view. 6 January 2025.
As Kemi Badenoch has said, this all merits a national public inquiry. Compared to any number of other scandals that have been investigated by such an inquiry – phone hacking, abuses of police power, civilian deaths in Iraq – the rape gangs are a massive social and state failure. Yes, abuse in specific places such as Rochdale and Rotherham were investigated, and yes, there was a national child abuse inquiry that reported in 2022. But the latter did not focus on the rape gangs, and the local reports could only go so far. We still do not know, for example, the truth about allegations of police collusion, social workers facilitating abuse, and senior councillors cutting deals outside the criminal justice system.
No Public Inquiry in the UK is going to work. I’ve seen dozens and I can’t recall one that wasn’t fixed in some way. Anyone doubting this has only to look at the present Dawn Sturgess sitting which is a parody of independent analysis. The truth is that the State, its servants and institutions are now so corrupt that they are beyond salvation.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/01/06/grooming-gangs-scandal-is-shattering-the-woke-worldview/
To plagiarise Paul Simon:
An inquiry finds what it wants to find and disregards the rest!
I vaguely remember that staff in the children's homes were not allowed to stop them going out.
It was a dismissible offence to prevent a girl from going out to meet her rapists.
It goes against the the grain, but I hope that this Labour administration lasts long enough for people to realise that votes for the Greens and the LibDems would be equally, if not more disastrous.
The very last thing the country needs is a coalition where the shots are being called by a combination of Lib-Lab-Green with a smattering of Islamists.
That assumes of course that they don't wreck everything to FUBAR in the meantime.

I've been cleaning house this morning, bed linen changed, dusting, floor cleaning etc. and I find this work necessary but boring. Therefore, I help alleviate the boredom sometimes by trying to think, dangerous, I know, but it does help while away the time.
My thoughts this morning were focused on the rape gangs and the Labour, Tory and Reform stances on this very disturbing subject. Then, I had a light-bulb moment, where are the LibDums on this issue? I cannot remember seeing, let alone, reading anything from the party in third place, seat-wise.
Have I been following/reading too narrow a range of comments/sites and therefore missed their contributions or have they not contributed? If the LibDums are fence sitting to try and keep clear of the mud (I'm in a polite mood this morning) slinging they will, eventually, have to pick a side. Morally there is only one side to pick, but hey, we're dealing with politics here and I've never seen it grubbier and more dangerous.
Perhaps a Nottler could point me to something I have missed?

Quite helpful too then if that's the case to remind everyone that Starmer has no respect for the sovereignty and democracy of the US, either.
People forget that Musk is notoriously perfidious. I watched his dad on a YouTube/ GBNews recording last night giving us the benefit of his wisdom. Apparently a little while ago he told his son that Farage wasn't up to it and that the next UK PM ought to be Tommy Robinson. I think Musk has come up with his own favoured candidate from Reform; can't recall whom, since it's highly irrelevant.
People should always take what Musk says with a large pinch of salt, I've found. His tune will be changing on many things once more around end of January in any case.

Why? Why the blinkin' heck are dindu criminal welfare shopper wasters getting special treatment?

We did some gardening yesterday – well, cutting back the plants. There I am, hacking away with my hedge trimmer having fun and out she comes 'you're doing it wrong!' So I ask 'How should I do it?' (I actually said 'What?') and she took over the strimmer and continued to do exactly as I had.
So I set about clearing up the leaves and twigs.
'What're you doing?' She said.
'Clearing up so you can trim the hedge.'
'I'm not doing it. It's your job!'
I looked at the masonry bag, at the fork, at her. She hefts the hedge trimmer. 'Don't even think about it.' She says.
' OK, fine, let me do it.' I hold my hands out for the hedge trimmer.
Then she realised what she'd just done.
Our whole morning sofar has been taken up with trying to pay a Barclay card bill.
3 hours of phone calls and on line logg ins.
And so it goes on……..

Now, if this person had spoken in the terms he used above in respect to the perpetrators and those who have, and continue to do so, cover up this disgusting scandal, then people may pay attention. Always going on the attack against people exposing wrong doing isn't a good look.
When your back is against the wall, the only thing left to do is attack. There's nowhere to retreat to.
Just as he attacked the wrong people in Southport.
The man, to borrow a term used by his deputy, is SCUM – But LABOUR SCUM rather than CONSERVATIVE SCUM!
All Conservatives are "scoom" according to the semi-educated Rayner.
And yet they still gurn and flutter around him, Korky. And I believe he'll be re-elected. What an absolute farce our politicians have become (or possibly always were).
I'm beginning to wonder if he isn't a Muslim himself.
No johnathan, but he is, and always has been, a determined Trotskyite.
He is determined to collapse the nation so that his form of Marxism will take over.
Righty, so… Starmer is admitting he is not interested in victims and he certainly wasn't interested in justice. He deliberately refused to try the cases. The vermin is a hypocrite.
We already know he's a hypocrite. He's just running according to his inner programming now. He might actually be the first properly developed cyber-being in history. I'd like to know who patented him.
I wonder what particular "lies and misinformation" he is referring to? Does he deny that there has been organised rape by gangs from a particular group? Does he deny the testimony of those who gave evidence against the gangs?? Does he deny that pressure was exerted on those who wanted the issue raised and those responsible prosecuted to STFU for "racial cohesion"?
Does he believe the judges in these cases were lying? I notice he’s flanked by ‘our’ NHS.
Does he believe the judges in these cases were lying? I notice he’s flanked by ‘our’ NHS.
Yes a bizarre and worrisome observation by Starmer.
399759+ up ticks,
Good advice from a genuine ex UKIP leader,
https://x.com/AgainBraine/status/1876236691499073824
The great Mark Steyn, sacked from GBN for daring to interview an ex Rotherham girl. Went to France, four heart attacks quick succession, turned his hair white. I don't know if he had a previous heart condition or not. Went home to Canada, lost his 'hockey stick' case against Mann (wta). Can still be read at steynonline.com and I continue to support him, every word.
His loss of the court case was inevitable. Political alignment, deliberate selection of judge. Mann is a liar, his prediction has been proven by time to be a nonsense. Folk like Steyn forget that the intent of 'climate change' is to control people. It's nothing to do with ecology at all.
We were earlier with Brexit. Farage was critical there. The problem is, as those nations are discovering; is that the entire state machine closes ranks to block democratically popular parties out. The hegemony cannot be challenged by something as annoying as the voter.
Yet… why? Why are these places so desperate to force the vile, savage muslim on us?
399759+ up ticks,
Those that decried Robinson then / now are in the main paedophile umbrella holders, and have a great deal to answer for.
The face of yesterday will next be seen sporting the belmarsh pallor earned via fighting against, in all honesty, the political nonse lovers and electoral supporters.

I keep hearing that meme circulating on X and elsewhere. More power to his elbow, but does no one remember Angie Heal anymore?
399750+ up ticks,
Afternoon JG,
Child Sexual Exploitation After Rotherham by Angie Heal
Hachette UK
https://www.hachette.co.uk › titles › child-sexual-exploi…
The scale of the Rotherham child protection scandal has led professionals responsible for safeguarding children in other regions to recognise the extent of …
£24.99
I remember it well. The ominous clouds gathering at the end of the 1990s. This has gone on for just long enough now. It's a wicked culture in need of excision.
There is something deeply wrong with the protection applied to the pakistani muslim child rapists. I don't know why the Left forced them on us, I don't know why they permitted the mechanised rape of thousands of children by muslim to continue. I do know if we don't openly discuss it, free from the frothing Left's usual mindless abuse and decide what to do present and future about the muslim problem then it will only get worse.
"I tackled grooming gangs 'head on' as chief prosecutor.. "
.."and I vow to fight 'poison of far right'.."
especially Matt Goodwin and his far right statistics.
If GB News got rid of Mark Steyn for drawing attention to the Muslim Rape Gangs then how will it treat Matt Goodwin who now has his own show on GB News if he continues to draw attention to this issue? Is he going to be a loose cannon?
Afternoon all

The man is impressive
Starmer labels us all far Right for wanting it raised. Either way, big government is closing ranks. They don't want an inquiry, they don't want the truth of their failure to be aired. They want everyone to go away and let the muslim pakistani paedophile continue to rape children.
I doubt that they 'want' rapes to continue. It's just that they know that to finally confront the problem will lead to violence on an unimaginable scale.
They, like most politicians need to recognise what's going on for what it really is. They're perfectly happy to have the police scour the internet in order to unearth a mildly hurty comment from several years ago so that they can prosecute someone for a "hate" crime but all the time miss the massive and proper "hate crime" going on under their noses. They don't even understand what hatred is and cannot see that it's nothing to do with the perverse repurposing of language that they indulge in.
Did they imagine that gangs of men acting in concert was merely extraordinary levels of foreigners with an excess of sexual frustration building up in them just waiting to be satisfied? Rape is the ultimate hate crime. It has little to do with sex and everything to do with domination, degradation and subjugation. Why do they think soldiers in warzones go off on a rape rampage? Not seen a woman in months? No, it's nothing of the sort.
These gangs were doing their jobs. They were abusing and subjugating those that they believe deserved it and they further believed they were doing the right thing. No wonder our deluded politicos cannot keep up. They are just so startlingly and dangerously ignorant at times. They are people who truly do not understand the motivations of many of those they've fallen over themselves to import into Britain.
And the feminists who for years railed against 'masculine' Western society are, with one or two notable exceptions, silent on the subject.
Top post, James. Many thanks.
And also prove conclusively they are complicit in the crimes.
They are covering their own backs and will continue to do so because they can see jail time for what they've done.
You ain't seen nothing yet.
The government are our enemy, NEVER forget that.
Because the perpetrators are members of a violent belief system that insists on their way or death. The PTB are frightened, individual judges etc. are frightened, anyone with any degree of potential sanctions over followers of that stone-age death cult is frit.
Edit: frightened for themselves primarily. The people of this country come a long way behind.
That WILL NOT HAPPEN.
Because of Starmer's tenure as DPP, when he defended accused Muslim men.
I know it might seem a false comparison but it bothers me that so many are upset by the opinions of Musk, who has no constitutional power in this country, but were quite content that for 47 years the UK took orders without protest from unelected foreigners based in Brussels.
As well as Schwab and his gang.
Bingo. Still doing so, William. (You'll never leave….)
Plenty of room in the Belgian equivalent of Hotel California …… but can you really check out any time you want from a Brussels tied house, hostel or air b&b?
Not unless you pay your bill, Rastus. Hotel California really about cocaine, very addictive. Apparently.
I prefer him to the other Reform MPs, would like him to be leader but doubtful that will happen. Rumours today about Reform finances, will say no more it could be libel.
As I said on this forum earlier – often the person who would make the best leader is not ambitious to be the leader.
In Antony's famous speech in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar he defends Caesar against the charge of being ambitious. This indicates that those with personal ambition are held in contempt. Antony says that Caesar acted only for the common good and ambition should be made of sterner stuff!
Shakespeare again voices the view that ambition is the soldier's virtue and is thus not a virtue for the more contemplative man.
Tres oblique, dear Rastus.
I'm trying to find it, but can't.
Has he deleted it??
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2025/01/06/britain-worklessness-crisis-netherlands/
Lots of talk about cutting welfare, reducing corporation taxes and employment regulation. Things Starmer is incapable of doing. I honestly don't know if he doesn't understand things like supply and demand, refuses to acknowledge the consequences of his actions or if he is just spiteful.
Could be all of the above. Don't know but a stupid person doesn't make the sort of mistakes he is because they don't do the things he is doing.
Interesting. It always pays to help your employers stay, so that's a good basic principle. Such a wordy article though.
If this has already been posted, I apologize. But it is Ben Habib talking about what Tommy Robinson was convicted on and why Musk is right and Farage wrong.
The lawful Interpretation of Tommy Robinson's imprisonment ..Ben Habib
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VjhOhT30Khw&t=77s
Thanks johnathan, worth repeating even if posted previously. Habib and Musk are correct imo.
KEY QUESTION IS THIS:
"Has Nigel Farage got the courage and integrity to admit that Tommy Robinson has been treated abominably by the Police, the Politicians and the Media?"
I do not expect Farage to welcome Robinson into the Reform Party but I also do not expect him to side with the Establishment.
Actually Rastus, I don’t think that Farage has the integrity, unfortunately. It is one of the reasons he needs to go.
I figured that any employees I would have would want to work how I do – as little as possible and when I wanted to. We don't track what and when. All I care about is that the work gets done.
Righty, I'm taking the dogs out with the 'big boys'. Lucy gets a pass as she is a Newfie and one of mine, but the rest are Mastiffs, St Bernard's or a Leonberger.
It's a good run for my three as all are well trained and behaved, so they get to play with normal sized dogs. I'd note though, that Mongo is still amongst the biggest and heaviest.
Any chance of pics?
Things are not going their way, seemingly.

That begs the question: what good is diversity itself for? Why should anyone do anything for its good?
Good afternoon HL
I wonder how many of those sexually groomed girls became single mothers by default .
It would be very interesting to see if the sexually exploited girls were ignored because this was part of the plan ?
The Kalergi Plan, sometimes called the Coudenhove-Kalergi Conspiracy,[1] is a debunked far-right, antisemitic, white genocide conspiracy theory.[2][3] The theory claims that Austrian-Japanese politician Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi, creator of the Paneuropean Union, concocted a plot to mix and replace white Europeans with other races via immigration.[4] The conspiracy theory is most often associated with European groups and parties, but it has also spread to North American politics.[5]
'Afternoon, Belle,
That extract you have included simply has to have come from the discredited Wiki. It is often written by – people with some axe to grind, as shown well by the extract: "debunked" "far right" "conspiracy theory"…
And you then get more of this utter bollocks:

Let's just Bu55er diversity and its twin brother at DIE.
So nice to see you back on form, Tom. x
Isn't she now saying she didn't say it and if she did say it was a slip of the tongue and she meant to say something else!
She didnt actually say that, but "liked" it.
Two tier is at it again, everyone who doesn't like him or finds fault with this government is 'Far right' but the truth appears to be just right, even absolutely right.
Shame he's obviously not paying attention.
He's an absolute boy isn't he Eddy…needs to get out more, and preferably including No.10.
The guy is a psychopath – a dangerous, evil and stupid psychopath.
I think a huge chunk of younger voters seduced into thinking Labour/Starmer/Reeves are the good guys, would vote for a pig in lipstick provided it had a Labour sticker on its forehead.
So, no change there then?
Exactly. Depressing to note younger Labour supporters.
Younger voters hadn't lived through Blair and Brown. I guess every generation has to make its own mistakes, but I just wish the fall out from those mistakes weren't nowadays so extremely detrimental to us and our country.
I wish that too, Hertslass. Just waiting for Cooper to appear at 5.30pm, may need a whisky to hand , or even a second one….
I haven't watched any of it – partly because I hardly ever watch TV, and also for my blood pressure…
In that case, happy to report further to my right honourable friend….she’s not started yapping yet…
Thanks, KJ. How these politicians can not be embarrassed is (almost) unbelievable. They really have no shame or self-awareness whatsoever.
More word salads, and now also from Phelps. Cooper has her posse behind her, nodding dog style. No embarrassment, as you say – actually all previous administration/s fault.
Try a third, KJ. These are challenging times.
I do think that a large portion of today's thinking youth are as pissed off with TPTB as we are, and are gravitating to Reform. As for the Labour tribe – I blame the parents. Idiots.
Nor had they lived through the seventies and the three-day-week. Still less had they lived through the post war Labour government which put bread on ration, which years of war had failed to do.
Maybe it varies around the country, but my grandchildren and cohorts are rabidly anti-Uniparty and pro Reform. They will be first time voters in the next election. I find this heartening, because they are going for self-preservation
A grandmother after my own heart, opopanax…mine the same. In fact, they were the first ones to draw certain issues to my attention. I’m wobbling slightly about Tice/Farage, hope that’s not going to be a thing. I really like Habib.
I adore Habib, KJ, and am very cross indeed about the rudeness of Farage towards him.
Pretty fed up with Farage and Tice due to finance rumours..think it was similar at UKIP. Still a Habib fan. Another day of nonsense, simblar tmrw prob. With snow and ice. 🤢🤯
I am unaware of the finance rumours. I just really hated the high handed rudeness towards Habib and the gratuitous kicking of Tommy when he's down.
Nigel has previous; he kicked UKIP activists when he flounced off.
Agreed absolutely, Sue.

It couldn't have been as bad as being a member of the LibDem party.
Not sure I’d bet on that GQ 🤢🤮😂
And all the disgusting SNP bunch! 🤬
I'm glad to see a number of replies to Ed's stupid tweet remind him of the Post Office debacle, and the fact that as a government minister he seems to have done nothing about the gang rape scandal!
Where’s his evidence that “people have had enough” of Elon Musk interfering…”?
Has he done a poll?
Or jas he made it up?
I haven't had enough of it, and I'm English. Bring it on, Elon!
Gosh, this morning I mentioned how quiet the LibDums have been and lo and behold up pops Davey attacking Musk.
Anything to say on the "rape gangs", Ed. I'll wait.

Sorry, open goal, irresistible
I thought someone would, sos, no offence meant, none taken.:-) I am quite rw.. This was right at the end of the war. My dad had just returned from Far East, my great uncle had a (tomato mostly) farm on Jersey and m&d went there for honeymoon. They loved it. Sark even better.
Lucky they weren't sarky people!
Nah…my dad would just knock their block off….😖😆
So THAT'S where you get it from…!!
Could be…had no idea I was so awful….ooooo I am awful….
…but we like you!
Thank you Bill, back at you….this is a good place…just been watching Katie Hopkins, another fave of mine…😉🙂
I find her style irritating. As though she is pissed most of the time. Perhaps she is, of course.
She sometimes has a large glass of red to hand, so I think she gives that impression. I know what you mean, that kind of ‘sarc, jolly, everyone’s an idiot’, couldn’t watch her for a long time but nevertheless makes some good points.
So, which one of those in the picture is your dad? 😁
oooo the cheek of it….(said in my best Kenny W voice, sadly missed….)
Indeed, I bet.
Rudolph Hess surrendering to a Jock Bobby in 1941?
London ordered the Channel Islnds to surrender. The established rules of war applied, meaning that the local authorities, including the police, co-operated with the occupying power.
As happens in the UK today…{:¬))
Oh, I say!
The Channel Islands.
So in other words ideas are to be clamped down upon, a "meme" being nothing more than an idea situated within a culture and all that. Since it's inside a culture then we can reasonably assume they are participating in a "culture war".
Labour: "there is no culture war."
Yeah right ..
If you had said to me 40 years ago whilst I was, over a mind numbingly boring three weeks, following a Soviet 'trawler' down from Norway, along the west Irish coast and then out into the Atlantic that I would one day despise the British Monarch, his Government, and both sides of the house, whilst admiring, at the very least, the President of Russia, I would have suggested that A) you kindlyfuck the fuck off you twat , and B) get your bumps felt when you get there, you twat .
But here we are.
I should at this point say I called a lot of people atwat .
No need for that kind of language, GQ, however many other people you used that description on.
You're obviously my husband, I claim my fiver. You know the address, it's the same as yours.
And here we are now…
Brilliant and full marks for policing the trawler's catch!

numb nuts has announced his resignation as Canadian PM.
Down side is that parliament has been prorogued until the end of March, we will need to face Trumps tariffs with an ineffective government
if you want to see canadas next PM, Pierre Poiliviere being interviewed on YouTube by Jordan Peterson is a great place to go. A shame other politicians cannot be that intelligent
now where's that bottle of gin?
With Parliament prorogued who is actually in charge if a national emergency had to be declared?
THe JWK…?
I believe that the cabinet carries on as normal – just like happens when parliament is in recess.
Oh how convenient, parliamentary committees are shut down. That includes the finance committee that was planning on a non confidence vote tomorrow as well as other committees that were about to publish negative reports, not forgetting the filibuster that was holding up parliament because the government would not release documents around a $400 million green action slush fund.
As Poilievre said, it is wrong to deny 40 million canadians a vote while the Liberals try to sort their shit out!

If so, it would presumably be the Governor General, so Canada would revert to being governed by a member of the indigenous people.
How!!
Labour’s been under scrutiny for its bizarre AI TikTok video featuring animals dressed as different sectors of the public service such as the NHS and the police. Guido’s had a listen to the Brazilian song used in the video. The lyrics are far from savoury…
The original song, MONTAGEM CORAL by DJ Holanda, when translated to English includes the words: “Perfect combination is sex, beer and marijuana”, “Just a punch in the young girl’s p**sy and “It locks on the tip of the c*ck and doesn’t stop”. Not exactly a sound choice given the current headlines dominating the news…
Labour’s TikTok begins at the start of the song, which opens with: “He’s holding a spear and marijuana. Go, naughty young girl, relaxing, Go f**k yourself, naughty, shameless, Sit on the pot-crazy d**k.” It’ll be interesting to see whether they delete the post…
UPDATE: A Labour spokesperson said:
“The post is an adaptation of a viral social media trend and contains a mix of two music tracks.“We acknowledge the translation of the lyrics are completely inappropriate. We apologise and the video has now been deleted.”
Read the translated lyrics in full below: NSFW…
Th-this is DJ Holanda, he’s launching the new trend
It’s the, it’s the, it’s the, it’s DJ Holanda
He’s holding a spear and marijuana
Go, naughty young girl, relaxing
Go fuck yourself, naughty, shameless
Sit on the pot-crazy dick
Pay attention, the thing is crazy
Lock it, you bitch, bouncing, naughty
Sit, bad, bounce, bad
It locks on the tip of the cock and doesn’t stop
Sit, bad, bounce, bad
It locks on the tip of the cock and doesn’t stop
Sit, bad, bounce, bad
It locks on the tip of the cock and doesn’t stop
Go, sit on my clown
Hi, sit on the clown
Go, sit on my clown
Hi, sit on the clown
At that peak, only angry chorus
Called me forbidden because I get addicted quickly
Perfect combination is sex, beer and marijuana
The young girls are addicted, everyone is enjoying the wave
At that peak, only angry chorus
Called me forbidden because I get addicted quickly
Perfect combination is sex, beer and marijuana
The young girls are addicted, everyone is enjoying the wave
Just a punch in the young girl’s pussy
Just a punch in the girl’s pussy…
Just a punch in the young girl’s pussy
Just a punch in the girl’s pussy…
Just a punch in the young girl’s pussy
Just a punch in the young girl’s pussy
I feel so culturally enriched after reading that.

I am a member of a book club, full of liberal luvvies. One has just posted a picture of a young “Palestinian” doctor who has “was bombed by Israeli occupation forces” (and is dead).
Yes, it’s sad.
But seriously. Don’t start a war by raping and killing neighbours.
Lefties are attracted to book clubs, for some reason.
Well, there was The Left Book Club:
"The Left Book Club is a publishing group that exerted a strong left-wing influence in Great Britain, during its initial run, from 1936 to 1948. It was relaunched in 2015 by Jan Woolf and Neil Faulkner, in collaboration with Pluto Press.
Pioneered by Victor Gollancz, it offered a monthly book choice, for sale to members only, as well as a newsletter that acquired the status of a major political magazine. It also held an annual rally. Membership peaked at 57,000, but after the Soviet-Nazi non-aggression pact of 1939, it disowned its large Communist element, and subsequent years of paper-rationing, during and after the war, led to further decline. It ceased publishing in 1948.
The concept and series was revived in 2015, following at least one earlier effort to relaunch the series in the early 2000s."
I would have thought that considering the way books are censored that they were all a bit left and woke these days to get past the publishers
Tell them (sarc) what you put in your last sentence.
I’m going to boycott it again for the third meeting running. I can’t be bothered.
They understand that in Rotherham already from their own experience….staggering but true.

The Telegraph's reports on the Ukraine war are pure Goebbels-style lying. Putin, according to them is on the ropes and has lost massively in the recent hostilities.
It is shaming to see such blatant posturing from what was once a great British newspaper.
I recommend the Simplicius substack which as usual provides a comprehensive and knowledgable analysis of the events the Telegraph purports to report: https://simplicius76.substack.com/p/sitrep-1525-ukraine-launches-final
The Russians now occupy the strategically important cities and the industrial hubs without which Ukraine is unviable as an economic state.
The Telegraph is as deluded as the British government observers and agencies. Challenger tanks proved useless, missile defence systems proved useless and Storm Shadow and other missiles proved useless.
Russia has superiority in every aspect of warfare and with air superiority and a larger army has justly won the war in Ukraine. The US, UK and EU have been humiliated but are afraid to admit their monumental and disastrous failure.

Tri peaks has started. I've only done a few of the challenges.
Hint.
On the penultimate "expert" you must score over 22,000 first board.
If I spot any other traps I'll pass them on.
I'll have a look later and report back!
Right, I’ve just finished it – pretty quick on all levels apart from 18 – get 11 4’s in one deal, took me about 4 goes on that one.
Unfortunately when it came to the score it was 19 hours 51 minutes as it clearly counted from when I started until I finished – I thought the timer would stop if I came out of the game halfway through (which I did).
Very enjoyable though, even if the dozens of scores around the 4/5 minute mark are clearly bollocks!
You were quicker than I was on 18.
The timer only stops if you have completed a game, so if you “end the game” before finishing it restarts when you return but the timer carries on.
If it asks to clear two boards and you clear one and close it, the timer still carries on until you finish the second one.
My effort was over half an hour slower than the last tri peaks.
ninth in group on 1:19 but 79750 over all. Not good, I was roughly 4750 overall last time.
Yes, 18 was very tough – much more so than just about all the rest.
A bit annoying about the timer – I’ll remember next time but I’d still like the option to complete over a couple of sessions!
You can complete over as many sessions as you wish, just remember only to stop when your current game is complete.
eg, if you had started 18 first, decided it was too difficult, and moved onto another, the 18 timer would still be running while you were doing the other puzzle, even if you pressed “end game” on 18 before moving on.
Ahhh, thanks for that, I’ll remember for future.
I’ve been caught out a few times
Well done, GGGG!

Post Starmer's appearance before the MSM several comments on X praise him for being a statesman etc.
However, on the other side of the MSM divide GB News' report here, on Christopher Hope's question, indicates that Starmer has one answer for most of the criticism coming his way: blame the almost non-existent far right. If he wants to be seen as a tough-guy statesman he could do worse than taking on the rape gangs. The Nation will not be holding its breath any time soon.

I still bristle at the perversion of the language. Grooming used to be a service offered by establishments like the Elizabeth Arden Salon in Bond Street. Working as a groom usually involved horses. I don’t recall grooming being a euphemism for torture, rape and murder.
It's like calling homos "gays" – sometimes a more miserable collective lot of people is hard to find (although individuals are, like anyone, individuals). It was such a sweet little word, before it was hijacked.
Or calling illegal immigrants "incomers". I have known houses where cockroaches or mice were also technically incomers but they were never called that.
Much used by Chips Channon in his wonderfully scandalous diaries.
There was a journalist at the Spectator (Paul Johnson?) who called them Glums.
I agree Sue,
When Pip spaniel needs his feathers and tail feathers clipping , and his nails cut , and a good wash , I visit my dog groomer , she is excellent and patient and treats her furry customers with kindness .
Muslim gang banging paedos are just that.. grooming is the wrong word . They are stinking pyjama clad disease ridden infidels ..
The very thought of young girls being forced to accept penetrative sex from smelly stinking heathens is terrible , as is the thought of babies , young children etc being groped by filthy white paedos .
It seems that the innocent cloud that youngsters are enveloped in until they are adults has been shattered .
Politicians , Mayors , police , churchmen , celebrities and the rest , God help us all to stop the barbarity of those meddlesome depraved fools .
I have served as best man – or groom's man – at friends' weddings, I have once, and only once been a groom myself at Lyme Regis Roman Catholic Church in April 1988.

That’s why I always put rape gangs, grooming is far too nice a word for it.
Perhaps what is meant is once the young white trash have been sufficiently groomed with free taxi rides, booze and drugs they will be ready for sale…………….if they survive the process of course.
I feel sick because it is ongoing.
What "lies" were these?
The BBC is reporting this as if only the 'far right' [sic] is complaining about the rape and torture gangs.
And there's a surprise.

They recognise that we have an adblock and refuse to open the film! But thank you for the idea.
Which ad blocker did you use? I'm using uBlock Origin on Firefox and have run Brideshead without adverts.
Adblock Plus on Goole Chrome.
I moved to Firefox for ITV and C4 because Chrome had been updated and no longer worked with some adblockers. them.
Delete Chrome. Reload Chrome.
I don't like Chrome – it's Google based and wants to know too much.
I found with ITV or Four if it detects adblock …..you disable adblock then allow the prog to start then pause the prog. Then re eanble adblock the prog runs without adverts. Works for me.

Why isn't Starmer responsible?
There is footage of him giving evidence to a Parliamentary committee.
He clearly states that the CPS did not prosecute the rapists because the child victims were, in the eyes of the CPS, unreliable witnesses, due to drugs and alcohol.
So basically the CPS had no problem with child rape, provided the child was drugged or plied with alcohol.
And he was head of the CPS.

If it wasn't for Elon Musk and his X platform the grooming gang scandal would still be buried by our political class. Let's start with investigating the memo that was reportedly (Maggie Oliver, GBN interview) sent out by Gordon Brown and Jackie Smith in 2008 to all UK police forces advising them to ignore complaints of grooming abuse from children and their parents. This is not only a disgrace but our DPP at the time was one Keir Starmer who has somehow become our PM. Talk about a script from Endeavour and Blenham Vale!

I read some of the Court transcript by the sentencing judge in Oxford. The depravity of the acts made me feel sick. And that has been replicated across Britain for the past 30 years – but hey, lets not go into it any more as it might upset Jess Phillips.
It is an indelible stain on Britain and I am ashamed of my governments.
The link to the Judge's remarks was in the DT comments. I shall not post it here as it was somewhat gruesome, although I think someone posted a tweet here recently which had some of the transcript.
MPs deserve abuse. The damage these fools do is staggering.

Never going to happen, all UK meat is halal, including school meals, ready meals, supermarket meals. Possibly not if you can find a butcher guarantee it. Been this way a number of years.
Except pork? When I was admitted to St Mary’s Hospital before Christmas, it occurred to nice Nurse Fatima that if I was staying, I’d need a more comfortable bed than the one in A&E and she enquired as to whether I’d like some hot food. She came back with a bed and brought pork sausages and mash. Fatima was sans hijab but olive skinned and dark haired. Plus the name is a giveaway?
Far as I know/have been told, Sue…meat all the same, and has been for a number of years. Apparently Jewish slaughter similar but different holy men and prayers, obvs. Happy to be proved wrong. Sausage & mash..mmm….Re the name: whenever I’ve been in hospital, if they have two nurses with the same name, they have separate name badges and one nurse volunteers a different name. But…many years ago, could well be different now. Hope you’re doing better now? Kate x
Pork is the only safe bet. It is never either halal or kosher, so will be kindly slaughtered according to our laws, rather than theirs. All other supermarket meat is suspect. I only buy from local farms or (eg) Wild Meat Company, Field and Flower, etc.. A few good British suppliers online, and some very good fish people. Expensive but worth it (tastes infinitely better, too)
Thanks opopanax..I’m no longer allowed to cook husband does in case I faint as I’ve done a couple times. He bought some beef locally..nope, so will definitely pass on your tips. He won’t mind paying extra if it’s good. One time Morrisons had their own farms, Sir Ken a nice chap. No more I reckon. See you soon again I hope cheers Kate x
Unfortunately, pork upsets my stomach. I can get away with the occasional sausage and bacon, but a joint can be catastrophic!
Isn’t it awful getting old, Connors? ( Something I thought could never happen to me). I suppose the alternative is worse.
It's not about getting old, it's always been like that! It's my joints that cause me most problems, unfortunately.
Snap! But more and more normal, taken for granted, stuff becomes difficult. Or at least it does for me. Doing the horses, for example. which used to be a pleasure, is now rather trying.
I know. I have arthritis in my hands, so meeting "industry standard" when it came to things like plaiting up were excruciating. I am now rather enjoying being a dressage coach, although I miss riding. At least I'm still in touch (literally) with a horse.
I think meat for Jewish consumption also has to be slaughtered in a specific way. It's a very long, very sharp blade, to the throat. Animal collapses within seconds.
Captive bolt gun – animal goes down like a dropped sandbag. Practical experience – hated it.
You should try visiting a 1970's Cornish abattoir at 7:00 am on a Monday morning!
Happens at racecourses if the injury is too catastrophic to survive.
Me – it was offing pigs. Worst day of my life. Cold, too.
It’s only 72% actually. Some of our SiLs sheep (about 5%) are halal, but it’s the same abattoir and slaughter method but they play muzzie ‘music’! It’s all stunned though.
Well I am truly stunned it's got this far!
And what's not to like?
Banning halal slaughter, a revolting practice – if we're going to eat meat we should treat animals with digntity and respect and kill them as quickly and painlessly as possible – if it means muslim leaving, then ban it we must.
Get rid of the ruddy swine. All they've brought is misery, division and parasitism.
Meat that is killed humanely is much better – it doesn't have the stress hormones.
Danes have done it.
Let's do it!

Oh well another day past and had an ejoyable afternoon with our youngest grandson. I made him a couple of paper planes. Both remembered from my own early years and from my Rupert books. He loves them. Then he helped me prepare and cook the dinner and wash the dishes. He's not 5 until February. He's knows so much. I'm looking forward to picking him up from school again Wednesday afternoon.
Good night all 😴
Lovely.
Make the most of it, these times pass far too quickly.
Lucky man.
🙂😉
He's the little fella who recently rang the all clear bell at Addenbrooks and Luton and Dunstable hospitals for his leukaemia.
I recall your posts at the time.
Heart warming.
That's a tough call, Eddy…I have a young relative, intially diagnosed anaemic, then Epstein Barr Syndrome, finally diagnosed when admitted to hospital. Was quite a haul, but made a full and lasting recovery. All luck, love, best wishes to you and your little fella, for the same outcome.
His parent’s have been through a most exhausting two and a half years imaginable. You would understand the problems experienced.
It’s such a wonderful relief for all.
{Sighs} Sounds a very enjoyable and rewarding day.
I don't think there is much chance of us having grandchildren.
Us too. Sadly.
There is absolutely no chance of my having any – thank the Lord! I would not want to be having offspring who would bring children into the world as it is at the moment.
Our first grandchild is 6 weeks old, and I'm worried about her future already. A depressing age we live in.
Indeed. We had the best of times, I think.
All these investigations and enquiries into grooming gangs that they are supposed to have undertaken over the years and nobody thought to say well why don’t we just stop tolerating them
Don't remember any appearing in the dock, Bob3?
Racist, mate. Can't do that.
OK, on a scale of 1 to 10, where would you place this for hypocrisy? https://x.com/BeardedBob7282/status/1876382924108632457
They'll use this to persecute people in the church who might conceivably have known about abuse and not sacked the suspect. Anyone accused will have to be punished immediately in order to save the skins of everyone else. Incredibly, no ministers of any other religion will ever be accused of sxual abuse, neither will BBC presenters., and nobody will be punished for failing to sack them.
'…except muslim pakistani paedophile child rapists, as hey vote for us and we want to protect them, and the laws we created to destroy this country…'
But I don't think Cooper read that bit out.
I doubt she even thought it, wibbling. Three monkeys abound.
They’ll never do anything about it because they’ll never accept the significance of all the perps being Moslem. If the rape gangs were tried in a Sharia court, they’d be acquitted. That’s a hard fact that no globalist is going to acknowledge because it challenges their agenda.
And the victims stoned to death. Lovely system, welcome here.
There are already laws against all of this. Just enforce them. Jeez!
And that's me logging off and away to bed.shit -scared over it.
I've been on X-Tw@ter a lot of the day trying to keep up on developments over the Paki Rape Gangs, but it's coming in too thick and fast.
Labour are running
Well, chums, it's only just turned 10 pm and these days I normally head to bed at around 11 pm. But I have decided to once again have an early night. Good Night, sleep well, and see you all in the morning.
Another day is done, I'm exhausted, so i wish all my fellow NoTTLers' a goodnight, schhone schlaf bis morgen fruh.

Just back from the pub, and it's nice just to remember how politics could actually be funny.

This article was referenced earlier but not posted in full. Tim Stanley confirms himself as a ghastly moral and intellectual snob of the first order. He might be partly right in advising a cautious approach to Musk but his comments on Robinson, 'true' Islam and 'cultural' Christianity make one wonder if his food and drink has been spiked.
If it doesn't represent an outlet for "white resentment" (i e righteous indignation felt by the indigenous at what's been done to the country), what's the point of it?
You could read that 5 times and arrive at 5 different political views.

If their lips are moving, they're lying!
Wonder if she’ll have a word with Jess Phillips.
Evening, all. Very late on parade because I went to the Epiphany service (and had a steep learning curve serving on my own at the High Altar!) and lingered over mulled wine and Christmas cake afterwards. Then, getting home was a bit slow because the roads were flooded.
There aren't enough GPs because a) we aren't training and retaining enough and b) there are too many people who've never paid a penny into the system getting priority treatment.
Goodnight, all.
Good morning, all – Tuesday’s new page is here .
Morning, Geoff.
Thanks!
Morning Geoff and thank you.
Very pleased to read this, Eddy. Yes, it is exhausting…her mum stayed with her and slept on the floor at the side of the bed. There were other children on the ward, some very ill and died, not a good place to be in to know that. It has never returned, and sincerely hope the same in this little chap’s case x
